i miss the one time i was such an emotional wreck, that i simply went outside during the night to cool off... and it was such a beautiful starry night.. with a chilly temperature... and i sat down in the grass to gaze at the stars, and at the full moon. echoes of children playing on the street rang in my ears.. and i felt alone. but also fascinated- by the stars, by the sky, by the moon. whenever i had troubles i couldn't tell anyone i'd whisper them to the moon and i'd calm down

Everyone loves you while they are benefitting from you. It’s easy to confuse transactional relationships for actual care, especially when people shower you with attention while gaining something from you. The real test of love & loyalty comes when you have nothing to give. Those who stay, who value you for who you are rather than what you provide, are the ones worth holding onto. It’s important to recognize your worth and set boundaries, so that you surround yourself with people who appreciate you beyond your utility.

Tumblr is weird because sometimes you go to a mutual's page and like/reblog half their content like you just broke in their house and imediately ate a little piece of all their food, tried out some of their clothes, sat on their sofa, and then just left.

And sometimes the mutual notices and does the same to your house.

There is a weird obsession of 'fitting in' with others these days that we waste so much of our lives trying to achieve. But no matter how many things you do in order to fit in you are never going to be enough. There are always new distractions, new ideas to obsess over which will drain your energy and make you feel like you are not worth anything. But trust me 'fitting in' with this dunya will destroy you. This dunya does not know what it is doing. If you look closely at the non - Muslims, the non practicing Muslims they are so lost. They are consumed by this Dunya. And if you acknowledge these problems and start practicing Islam then you are considered strange. You are strange if you wear the hijab, you are strange if you call ppl to the path of Allah, you are strange if you wake up in the Middle of the night to pray Tahajjud etc. Many may even label you as extremists or what not but You know that there is peace in this strange lifestyle. You will not feel the need to fit into the beauty standards in order to be a close servant of Allah, you do not have to be rich in order to please Allah and you will never be heartbroken by the distractions of this Dunya if you keep yourself firm on the path of Allah.

So Do Not Ever be afraid of being strange. If you have constantly failed to fit into this Dunya then Maybe that is a sign from Allah so that you can acknowledge that the only place you can fit in is where you pray.
