Sora scanned the older boy up and down, not breaking his stride from their trek. Riku was taller than him, and cooler than him, and, and, and-

“Just so you know, I’m handsome,” he assured- totally not with a wrinkled nose and furrowed brow. “Like, really handsome.” He insisted, glancing at Riku to see his reaction before continuing. “I’m so handsome the girls flock to me everywhere I go!”

Was Sora jealous? Pfft, no, why would he be jealous? He was the avatar! He was the coolest person ever! There was no reason Kairi could possibly like Riku better.

The first thing he was aware of was the cold. He shivered automatically, the ice against his back chilling him. And then he was aware of warmth. He pried his eyes open, trying to see who on earth was holding him, when he froze (no pun intended) at the most breathtaking pair of blue-violet eyes he’d ever seen.

The girl was a vision- with fair skin and striking red hair- but more importantly, her face was the most beautiful Sora had ever laid eyes on! He was dumbstruck, and for a moment forgot to breathe.

He rolled over and promptly jumped up, using his hands to spring up to into a flip and land on his feet. Was he showing off? He was showing off.

“Hi,” He greeted, grin wide and eager. “I’m Sora. I’m a traveler. What’s your name?” And then his smile dropped as he patted his body and worriedly looked around the ice. “Oh no, my staff! Where’s my staff?”

It should be said Meow Wow was still on the other side of the ice, unconscious.

Personality: Easy going and fun loving. Generally cheerful and amicable. Feels bad saying "no" to those in need. Quick to engage in a fight, and short tempered. Self conscious about his height, and eventually goes from confident, to insecure.

Likes: Playing, exploring, experimenting with his bending and napping. Helping those in trouble and making new friends. Also really likes Earth Kingdom food.

Dislikes: Meat, hard work, injustices, and cruelty. Also people who take themselves too seriously.

Strengths: Flexible and adaptable. He goes with the flow and can change plans and improvise at a moment's notice. He does well in fighting large groups of people, and can move very quickly.

Weaknesses: His crush He's not great against raw power, and struggles to fight against earth benders. He's willing to put in SOME work to try to help people, but unless absolutely necessary, he gets bored and frustrated with work easily.

History: Sora was sent to the air temple at the age of four, when it was discovered he was the avatar. He was put through more intensive training than his peers so that he could master air bending more quickly, and as a result missed out on a lot of fun and games with kids his age. At 14 he was dubbed proficient in air bending, and was going to be sent off to the water tribe to learn water bending. But Sora, hating his life and not wanting to be the avatar anymore, ran away with his flying bison Meow Wow. It ended up saving him, because not two days after he ran way, the Fire Nation wiped out his clan.

Sora wandered around a few years, living off the good of the land, and a few coins he earned with his acrobatic tricks. He went to the Earth Kingdom first, meeting his best friend and finding out earth bending was really, really hard. He went to the water tribe on his own, hiding his identity, and learning a few water bending tricks in secret. He went to the Fire Nation and hung out with kids his age, learning the culture outside of the military. Learning how to take care of himself, Sora might have lived the rest of his life as a wanderer if not for the storm he hit over the ocean. Fearing for his life, he went into the avatar state, sealing both himself and his flying bison in an iceberg. There he stayed for 100 years, until he was discovered by accident by Kairi.

Trying to hide his identity, he tried to pretend he wasn't the avatar, and lied about being an air bender. That was easy since he wore gloves and had let his hair grow out, hiding his markings. That lasted about 2 days until he discovered literally every other air nomad had been wiped out. Hard to pretend not to care when you find out you're the last of your kind.

Enraged and heartbroken, Sora is determined to take out the Fire Lord, and avenge his people. All he's gotta do is master all four elements and infiltrates a country and take down a nation. What could go wrong?
