People who hate Frodo Baggins are my enemy. "He didn't do anything and was useless"--yeah, okay, so what you're not understanding is that he was the sacrificial lamb. He endured physical, mental, and emotional torment that got worse and worse as his will broke. Everyone knew this. EVERYONE KNEW THIS. That's why everyone was devastated about it. Because Frodo was the most innocent among them, that was the entire point. He represented ordinary peaceful people being destroyed by the horrors of war. And as a hobbit he also represented some of the last vestiges of magic in what was basically a post magic apocalypse.

Frodo was basically an innocent puppy thrown into the Torment Nexus so that EVERYONE ELSE could maybe have a hope of surviving. And he did that willingly. HE DID IT OF HIS OWN FREE WILL, KNOWING IT WOULD RUIN HIM.

Need fics of the bats being so crazy about each other, completely platonically. They are intensely obsessive and possessive of one another.

Non-bats casually criticize x bat about whatever leading to them being threatened by the bat with them. Take the "Only I can tease/bully my family" and turn the knob to a 10 and break it.

Have them be unable to keep their hands off each other so much it makes others uncomfortable. (Bats need the reassurance that the other is there)

They regularly drug each other to get them to rest when they don't feel like dragging them to bed awake (a fight) or whining them into submission. They're aware they're going to get drugged but eat/drink anyway.

They all have subdermal trackers. They know it's there. They see it as a sign of love because their family will always find them.

It's a whole process to get a bat(s) from Gotham for whatever mission. They discuss amongst themselves if the mission really needs them. And when it's so very reluctantly decided yes, the bat(s) leaving is dropped off by another. Cue intense and dramatic farewell.

A sign of neglect amongst them is if one bat doesn't know what's going on in their life. There are no secrets and if someone doesn't know then they stopped caring. Exceptions are made for presents.

They have their own rooms but rarely sleep alone in their beds. They always end up sleeping with another bat and to the sound of their breathing and beating of their heart.

I recently got an on-campus job. During the interview process, I requested that I not be scheduled on Friday nights or Saturdays as I am a Jewish student.

My boss immeadiately brightened and rushed to explain - "Of course ! Of course! We want to accomodate you! We have another worker who takes off for Ramadan. Do you need to take off for Ramadan?"

I shook my head, incredibly confused. "Uh. That's. Not my jurisdiction. I'm good." Boss nodded but was sure to add "Let me know if that ever changes. We can help you with Ramadan."

What to do if you find yourself homless- written by someone who has actually been homeless

Most important: Spend the money you have on a motel. Churches probably will not actually help and shelters can be dangerous or turn you away. At a motel you have free breakfast, access to running water, and a lockable place to sleep. Do not waste money on a gym membership like the popular version of this post says to do, YMCA memberships are like $40.

2. Contact family and friends. Now is not the time to worry about being a burden. Your survival and safety comes first and that is all that matters, anyone worth having in your life will agree.

3. Start a gofundme. Even if someone can’t offer you a place to stay, they might be willing to toss out $5 so you can eat today.

4. Libraries have free wifi. Apply to any and all jobs you can think of if you aren’t already working.

5. Any home is a good home. Even if it’s a dingy apartment in a bad neighborhood. If its cheap and you can afford it, snatch it up. 

6. Pancake mix and peanut butter are filling, cheap, and last a long time.
