We invite you to write a work of fiction with a wordcount under 1k. Therefore, your work should be a standalone, meant to be read without having to read a larger work so that readers can enjoy it to the fullest.

What should the fic be about? 

Whatever you want! Canon or AU, crack or general use the prompt however you see fit. Any genre is accepted! You can combine prompts, if you’d like. How you use the prompt is up to your interpretation! Let your muse move you.

You don’t have to write for every prompt of the month. There’s no pressure here, no commitment. This is just for fun.

As a snippet for everyone showing so much love here's an outline of what I plan on happening within the next two installments. Part 3: The fall of Piltover:

Taking place in the aftermath of Jayce’s and Viktor’s deaths.

Piltover has plunged into chaos, with Ambessa Medarda seizing control of the Council and militarizing the remaining Hextech to be further explored by Singed.

Focal Points of my next 1-2 installments:

Ambessa’s Reign: Ambessa rallies the remnants of Piltover’s leadership, presenting herself as the only one capable of maintaining order amidst the destruction. Declaring war against Zaun to avenge Piltover’s losses and secure her legacy.

Mel’s Guilt and PTSD: Mel is overwhelmed by the fallout, haunted by memories of Jayce and the choices that led to the city’s downfall. She questions her ability to lead but is determined to stop her mother, however; with the emergence of her powers she's left feeling out of her skin and off kilter.

Escape to Zaun: With the city descending into a military dictatorship, worse than Cait. Caitlyn, Vi, and Mel decide to flee. They make contact with underground allies who help them sneak into Zaun. Where Sevika has taken on a leadership role besides Ekko.

Poor Golden retriever-Jayce probably watched from the recess of his own mind aa MindBreak-Jayce yelled at Mel when she looked so vulnerable.

Wait. Wait-wait.

Jayce is drawing Mel from heart in the cavern. So he draws and illustrates when he is stressed out.

He also plays music too. There was that guitar thingamajig by his bed in his academy housing.

You know who else does art when she is stressed. Even makes her own paints by hand.

Meljay stans another win!! He drew his Mel while he was in the pit and he drew her from memory because she is his place of comfort <3

the writers were very deliberate with the horrific oppression of zaun and caitlyn’s spiral into fascist dictatorship, and yet, nothing got resolved. only one individual was made a representative of zaun, while piltover has several. zaun won’t be heard, because it wasn’t given the chance to, even when one of their own was put on the council. caitlyn didn’t redeem herself, because nothing that she sacrificed or did could undo the fact that she gassed the people who her society oppressed. she quite literally weaponized the gas that was created as a result of the labor of the oppressed, which we know permanently disables and decreases the lifespan of those who are exposed to it longterm (the only ones affected by this are zaunites). her story feels wrong because she suffers no actual repercussions for her horrendous actions. the story falls flat and the writing seems disingenuous because decisions like this were made. they cared more about a ship than they did about either caitlyn or vi and both characters suffered for it. caitlyn faces no consequences for her actions and vi is made a narrative device who has no opinion and immediately sacrifices her morals and forgives caitlyn. this results in them having sex in a jail cell very similar to the one vi lived in for years because of people like caitlyn. it is very… weird.
