I’m done with the media , and their disgusting double standards .

This is absolutely ridiculous . Taylor is preventing her fans from being scammed again. This is a program that rewards fans for doing things they  were already doing , but a scapler would have no interest in taking time to participate in. 

So many fans got scammed during the 1989 tour,  they were sold tickets by scaplers at high prices , and often these were tickets to seats that didn’t even exist. Many people were turned away. Taylor’s doing something so this doesn’t happen again.

This is a system that is entirely voluntary. It caters to the things that fans were already doing , they’re just being rewarded now , by not being scammed or Scapled. Fans are going to buy merch and pre order albums anyway , we always do. We do this every era without any incentive.  Why do you think Taylor has had 3 albums sell a million copies in the first week?  - because we buy albums. She knows this. 

Yes , there were some concerns from fans initially , mainly the fact that this system seemed  to favor Rich fans,  but those concerns were quickly resolved after taking it to tumblr with Taylor. she quickly made changes to the platform To make things more ( free) activities based.  Videos are no longer low boost  with a maximum of 5 views per day. Videos are now Medium boost and you can watch each video 20 times a day , and  each view is a medium boost. 

Pretty much all the free activities are Medium boosts now. The only free activities that are still low boosts , are friend referrals and visiting the site everyday. You can easily get high priority just from watching videos. 

All she’s doing is basically giving  us a code for tickets , so we can bypass scaplers and bots this era

Inside an  album she already knew we wanted and would buy , and she’s  also putting those codes in free videos too.

You really don’t have to buy anything , my pre order hasn’t even been in the system long enough to register that I have purchased anything  , but I’m already in priority just from watching videos! 

Since when is not wanting your fans  to be scammed “ fan exploitation” ?  I don’t feel  exploited one bit,  in fact I actually feel relief.

  As someone who’s waited by my computer all day,   intending to buy tickets , only to have a bot buy my ticket, and then not being able to go to the concert because the only seats left were from scaplers charging 6X the original price  -I like this system.

The fact that I’m seeing people DEFENDING Simon in light of this situation is just preposterous.

1. Louis could perform. He wasn’t blackout drunk. Seven years later, this is the first time we hear about this situation, so he was able to perform normally and no one suspected anything from it. Because you can stop a tabloid from running with a story like this (not like 1DHQ has ever tried to do that before, but whatever), but you can’t stop the audience from noticing and spreading it, especially in the social media era. I do believe it was the G A Y performance where at most he was a little tipsy, and I do believe the dressing down wasn’t solely about drinking, but even if I pretend this isn’t the case, no one can say that Louis was so drunk he couldn’t perform because there’s literal footage of every gig they’ve ever done.

2. He was legal. He was 19 years old and he was allowed to drink. There was nothing illegal in what he was doing.

3. Simon IS NOT Louis’s father. Louis has a father, and even if he’s estranged now, he wasn’t at that point as he and Jay were still married. And he also had a mother. He didn’t need THE HEAD OF HIS LABEL to act like ‘a paternal figure’.

4. Louis isn’t a brain surgeon and he’s not a lawyer. He’s not you. He’s an artist, a performer. Being drunk on the job for a performer isn’t the same as you showing up drunk at the office. Stop comparing your situation with this. Your situation is irrelevant. Most performers will do a show drunk or high. I can assure you One Direction has performed drunk and high A TON of times and you never noticed. I can assure you your favourite artist, whoever that is, has done the same. You can disagree with those decisions, but that’s how it is.

5. Simon, as head of Louis’s label, shouldn’t be involved in these types of situations. That’s an intimidation tactic. He was the most powerful man who held the future of Louis’s career in the palm of his hand. Him yelling at Louis for a misdemeanour is not only exaggerated, but downright cruel and a scare tactic. Kim Davidson or Will Bloomfield on the phone would’ve been an appropriate reaction to being drunk during a show.

6. If the fact that the head of his label yelled at him wasn’t enough of an exaggeration, this man even FLEW LOUIS TO LA FROM THE UK. WITHOUT TELLING HIM WHY. He flaunted his power and wealthiness in front of a 19-year-old boy who didn’t even have a record out yet and who at most had had a single out for a couple of days. Not only that, but he did this to the boy that had NO SOLOS in the X Factor, and BARELY ANY in the album. Do you get that? The album was most likely done at that point and Louis already knew how in the back he was hidden. Can you imagine, in that context, being flown transatlantic without an explanation, alone, and being yelled at BY THE HEAD OF YOUR LABEL. How can anyone minimise this oh my god.

7. If you dare say that Louis minimised it himself, I’m going to remind you that he signed a contract that prevents him from speaking badly about Simon ‘in all of the universe’, and if you believe that contract expired (it had a clause about the universe and the solar system but it didn’t specify time length??), I’ll remind you that Louis has a current contract with this same person and it’s very unlikely that this new contract didn’t also include that clause, no matter how negotiated. Simon literally held Kelly Clarkson hostage for 10 years and she hasn’t said a peep, and she has a new label… Simon fucked Clay Aiken over. Simon trashed Paula Abdul in the media… where are the tell-alls? Also, the person Louis was talking to, who also ‘defended’ Simon (Matt Edmondson) worked for the X Factor last season which means he’s also a Syco Entertainment employee. Louis, with all the positive spin he does in his reply, even hesitates and says he doesn’t know if he can tell this anecdote before telling it.

Harry himself gave a full interview to Dan Wootton to clarify that he had the perfect relationship with Simon after in a joking tone saying that Simon gave him anxiety in an interview… And as I saw in someone’s tags, the only reason Harry isn’t being completely torn over by Simon and his cronies is that he agreed to be Sony’s golden boy.

Simon Cowell is not and never was ‘Uncle Sy’. He’s a ruthless business man who cares about no one but himself and who will step over the head of whoever he sees fit, and he’s giving Sony a lot of money, so they’ll keep him satisfied, just like they do with Dr fucking Luke.

Get your head out of your ass, for fuck’s sake.
