I defend Gavin Reed and here's why sure he is a jerk and ill never not agree that he's not but you have to think in his perspective. He is a detective to become a detective and get your badge it takes years of hard work to get there and all he's trying to do is protect that. Connor basically got to walk in without having to do any of that work and the way Gavin saw was if Conor could then any other Android could too. Making years of work pointless and take away the need of training humans to do the job saving years of time effort and money when Androids could learn alot faster. If you really think about it these days and about what could potentially happen with AI that might be a threat to a lot of the fields alot of people work in i myself I'm not scared of AI but I certainly hate what might happen if it dose one day take over
