Blessed Solanus Casey
Good and gracious God, we praise and thank You for all Your gifts, particularly those You bestow on us through the witness of Your servant and priest Blessed Solanus Casey. Inspire us by his faith, encourage us by his hope, and fill our hearts with his love, particularly for the poor and suffering. By Your grace, may we follow where he has led. We turn to You, with grateful hearts, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

"While he was granted a great many spiritual experiences - the stigmata, bilocation. prophecy, healing, and apparitions - life was not easy for the Capuchin friar. And his now famous mantra of "Pray, hope, and don't worry," far from being a simplistic solution to our struggles with anxiety, was what he had to repeat to himself again and again to remind himself to stay focused on God's providence as a way of fighting against the anxiety he surely experienced. Now, more than half a century after his death, St. Padre Pio stands as an advocate for all of us suffering from anxiety. He is a friend who stands at the ready to intercede for us with Christ, begging him to pour his grace and peace into our hearts to give us that relief he so desperately wants us to experience."
