Foam Bonus Track: 2 - Good flavor, but strangely thin compared to basically everything else I’ve ever had from them.

Resilience IPA on tap at Dogfish Head in Milton, DE. A 3 of 4. With 100% of proceeds going to Camp Fire relief efforts, and with this recipe brewed by 1400 different breweries (organized by Sierra Nevada), this is a great effort. A classic IPA that you’d expect from Sierra Nevada with some nice caramel malt character behind it. A classic pine/citrus hop profile with resinous qualities poking out closer to the finish. A good beer for a good cause, and very on-brand in style to Sierra Nevada’s other offerings.

Treehouse Doppelganger - Well, it’s a Treehouse DIPA so there’s a very high floor. No complaints, but didn’t knock my socks off.

Finally! We have time to open a bottle. CBS has been near the top of my beer bucket list for years. I thought KBS was amazing, I thought KBS was smooth and flavorful and just damn near perfect. KBS is crap compared to this.
This… this is amazing. The hint of maple changes so much. I thought the 750 ml bottle would be tough to get through, but I think I’m just gonna want more. Plain bourbon barrel aging will never again be good enough. 😍
