BIOS || Abex

Abex is a member of the Hue Crew that replaces Yellow from the original series. He was based on the stick figure representing Alan Becker (oh my god !!! its the guy who made the thing !!!) in early AvG thumbnails, and his name was derived from Alan's Roblox username, Abex01.

Abex's Arcrex was designed to be the perfect blend of form and function. While its main purpose is of a shield, the boomerang/propeller attached to the front allows the Arcrex to be used at range and for enhanced movement... theoretically. Abex has burned through countless blueprints and discarded metals to make the concept into a working weapon. But even after all that, you could find him at the forge conceptualizing the next improvement.

The trident was one of the best things Abex discovered in Minecraft. Its melee and ranged capabilities made it Abex's favorite Minecraft weapon, and he's been using the same one he first got from a certain misadventure.

Seen as the "caretaker friend" amongst the Hue Crew, Abex helps keep the group composed; he's the first to listen and provide insight if there's a problem. For this reason, he was the most welcoming to Dormant's entrance to the Forge, quickly becoming one of his best friends as with the rest of the crew. Abex also has a keen interest in art (specifically abstract expressionism), something he shows Dormant after discovering something... important about him.

BIOS || Kenji

Kenji is a member of the Hue Crew that replaces Blue from the original series while having some traits from Green. Kenji was based off of the stick figure representing DJ Welch in early AvG thumbnails, and his name was derived from DJ's roblox username, Darkkenjie.

Unlike the rest of the Hue Crew, Kenji doesn't carry a weapon; he prefers to train his hand-to-hand prowess in combat. However, he has used the forge's resources, as the forge's fire helps Kenji train his power and resistance. As a result, he keeps a small sample of the fire in a talisman as both a reminder of home and as an emergency boost if the moment calls.

But like the Hue Crew, Kenji enjoys a lot of Minecraft's features. Among these would be his pet dog, Rawlo, and his... strange appetite for blaze powder. He found this appetite when he got into potion-making and brews strength potions as makeshift gym shakes.

Kenji's strength gives him confidence. That confidence can sometimes make him boastful to the rest of the Hue Crew, and it can also blind him to vulnerabilities. But Kenji's stength also gives him hope that he'll not only be able to protect himself, but those around him.

BIOS || Mar

Mar is a member of the Hue Crew that replaces Green from the original series while having some traits from Blue. He was created by Torribash, thumbnail artist for the AvG channel.

Mar is a jack of all trades when it comes to combat, taking special pride in his Ban Hammer's crushing capabilities. Because of the nature of his weapon, he prefers to plan out his attacks in order to get the best hits. His forethought is also reflected in his Minecraft fighting style, which, while unconventional, can be just as dangerous: using tools from a crafting table, Mar is able to juggle and switch between them for devastating parries and combos... all while looking cool, of course.

While his versatility in combat makes him a formidable foe, Mar's green thumb for gardening, his passion for music, and his friendly rivalry with Rhonk reminds him that there's more to life than the fight.

BIOS || Red Hot Pink / Rhonk

Red Hot Pink, or "Rhonk", is a member of the Hue Crew that replaces Red from the original series. He was created by CharlieV, director of the AvG channel.

The Hue Crew's best swordsman (or so he claims), Rhonk carries the Starflare, a blade perfect for taking down even the grandest of armies. Additionally, he's proficient with any type of sword, like the ones from Minecraft.

Rhonk's bravery is his best and worst trait. He's the first to pursue any foe, even if it's unlikely for him to emerge victorious. Whether this makes him haphazardly reckless or caring for his friends is up for debate, as his unwavering will gets him both in and out of conflicts.

BIOS || The Forging Stick Figures / The Hue Crew

The Hue Crew in Sticksforge.com.

First appearing in Animation vs. Animator 4, the Hue Crew is a quartet of stick figures from Sticksforge.com that specialize in weapon forging and combat. Since then, they have become The Dormant One's best friends, facing the best and worst of their lives together.

The four members are as follows:

We're Back: GvA Anniversary & Revival

That's right! After... almost 3 months... the GvA Tumblr is officially up and running.

Today also counts as the one year anniversary of the AU and its forum on the AvG Server.

Our first set of posts will be going up next week, spanning from the 24th to 28th of June. These posts will cover the members of the Hue Crew, GvA's version of the fighting stickfigures. After the initial group post on Monday, each member will have their own bio for the week.

FAQ

What was the origin behind this AU?

The AU's idea can be derived from CharlieV's (AvG Director) and Torribash's (AvG Thumbnail Artist) stick OCs, which were created for a now cancelled community project. Their existence, Skim's (AvG Editor) joke character, and Alan and DJ's thumbnail stickfigures perfectly filled the roles of the Color Gang & TSC. Thus, the Hue Crew & The Dormant One made their debuts. Torri and Charlie also contributed additional info of Mar and Rhonk for the AU.

How are swaps decided/how do they work?

While swaps usually happen between a character and a real-life creator/person, it is a limited cast and sometimes can't be applied at all (think location swaps). As a result, there are other swaps that don't conform to the norm while still adhering to the intended "vibe" of the AU. For example, Victim being swapped with Carl-bot was due to the joke that Carl-bot on the AvG Discord Server was renamed as "off-brand skim," a relationship that could mirror TSC and Vic.
