The Ultimate Cream for The Minimalist
Happy Friday, Bunnies!
Akhirnya aku beraniin buat pakai si calendula krim ini di kulit wajahku anddd..... it also works! It’s already pretty moisturizing in general, jadi kalo untuk pagi biasanya aku pakai tipis-tipis aja.
A little bit goes a long way, jadi memang awet banget, tapi kalo aku memang pakai ini untuk travelling aja jadi extra awet deh.
I’ll see you on another one. Bye! ♥

My Favorite Kind of Rose, Rose Hip Seed Oil
Hello, Bunnies! So we meet again, sorry for being M.I.A. for a while but here I am today back with a new post. Today I’m going to talk about my take on The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil. My personal interest with Rosehip oil has been presence since around 2-3 years ago when I heard that the mighty Miranda Kerr raved about it and one of the most raved Rosehip oil back then was the one from Trilogy but the price is quite steep for me, the 21 yo college student. In early 2016 I tried the Spoil Organics Rosehip Oil, which was a O-K. It does makes my skin supple the next morning but I guess that was it back then so I kind of forget about it and moved on. Besides, back then my skin was totally fine, no problem at all, smooth and supple, unlike present day, coupled with acne.
One of the main reason why I decided to reintroduce Rosehip oil into my routine is because I eventually learned (mainly because of her, thanks Liah!) the true benefits of using Rosehip oil for my acne prone skin. The reason why it is great for acne prone skin is because the high concentration of linoleic acid (44%). Linoleic acid is a unsaturated fatty acids (omega 6) that in one research proved to be lacks in presence in many acne patients, what’s left in our skin is the excessive presence of oleic acid (another type of fatty acid that’s usually missing from those with dry skin). The excessive presence of oleic acid which is not well balanced with the presence of linoleic acid leaves no oxygen in our skin, the heavy and thick oleic acid would clogged our pores and providing a safe place for acne bacteria to grow.
In another research many acne patients was also found to be deficient in Vitamin A and rosehip oil does contain retinoic acid - a vitamin A derivative, a low level and natural form of retinol. A pure retinol (vitamin A) has been known for its brilliant ability to regenerates skin cells, push out the gunk in our skin, prevents acne, even fading acne scar and hyperpigmentation, however usually the use of pure retinol should be done under a professional supervision as it is very powerful, potent and intense. So, a lot of people might assume that it’ll give them the same result as using a retinol, in a very very low concentration. I can’t really confirm that just yet, because I think it would take an adequate of time to really notice the difference in terms of fading acne scar or hyperpigmentation. But let me tell what I do know after using it for around a month in a half~
Generally rosehip does a signature scent, almost like rubberish kinda scent. I found that The Ordinary one doesn’t have that much of the rubberish scent compared to the Spoil Organics one. Despite of not nececarily doing anything with fading my acne scars, I could definetly say that it really does makes my skin supple and well hydrated the next morning.I didn’t woke up having an oil grease on my face, the oil sinked well into my skin and plump it from within. Rosehip isa dry type of oil so it does sink in almost immediately when I use it alone, but I really don’t like using it alone as it doesn’t gives me enough hydration to get me through the night (never let our oily skin left dehydrated). When I do have red bumps or redness around my cheeks, rosehip oil helps. Another thing I’ve noticed is that I felt like my lashes grew thicker (because I really slather it all over my face), couldn’t be more happy!
Typically, I prefer mixing 2 drops of rosehip oil into my moisturiser. It gives me the supple and plumpness that I like. These days however, I prefer to mix 3 drops of Hemp Seed Oil (another good oil for oily/acne prone skin) with 2 drops of rosehip oil and a pump of Bioderma Hydrabio Brume to help me distribute the oils evenly and easily. I really like how the oil combo above makes my skin feel healthier and well balanced. I bought it from The Gina Edit for IDR 239.000,00- (30ml), been here since early October and I don’t think it’ll be gone anytime soon.
Thank you so much for checking out.
I’ll see you on another one. Bye! ♥

The 3-in-1 Mask
I am so so so sorry if you expect this mask review will be about a clay type of mask review because this is not. I know that mud / clay mask has been in a serious spotlight as in lately, but if you are tired of those drying clay mask and needed some extra quench of hydration, than this post will definitely fits you. If you haven’t familiar yet with the term of sleeping mask, than I’ll explain briefly. Basically, a sleeping mask is a gel / cream mask that you slather on your face right before bed and on top of all your PM skincare, leave it on throughout the night and wash it off the next morning. While clay mask mostly designed to suck out all of the excess oil and dirt inside our pores that the process itself could be a little drying and sensitizing for some (reviewed my fav non-drying clay mask here), sleeping mask on the other hand will hydrate and plump your skin from within, and this COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask is no exception.
Came across this gem a while back while I’m looking for the COSRX BHA Liquid Power (that’s sadly doesn’t works on me). I never really try any sleeping mask before, like the famous Laneige Water Bank Sleeping Mask that I felt like the price was kinda steep for my liking. Couple months later I received a sample of this Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask, used it that exact night and later woke up with a supple and plumped skin, was literally love at first sight (...or try?). Anyway, I didn’t purchase the full size right away since I really wanted to know does it really served me well. That whole sample sachet could gave you 2-3 times use. While I was trying to finish the sample, Liah Yoo’s video came up and on this particular video she told us how much she loves this Rice Spa (sleeping) Mask, and I was assured.
COSRX claimed that this cream-gel-ish mask will brightens, hydrates and nourish our skin. While I am not so sure about the brightens part, I must that it definitely hydrates and nourish my skin. My favorite ways to use this mask on nights where I use an acid toner or a super hardcore bentonite clay mask. I use to double tone my face with an essence when I’m using an acid toner, however I found out that my skin is happier if I skipped the essence and kind of substituted the role of my essence with this mask. Smooth, soft and plump skin upon waking up the next morning, this goes really well too with those Aztec Healing Clay + Apple Cider Vinegar mask night where my skin is just red afterwards.
There are 2 key ingredients in this mask: Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract 68.90% and Niacinamide 2%. I suppose the brightening claim came from presence of Niacinamide. COSRX also claimed that this is a 3-in-1 mask, this mask can be used as an overnight mask, a wash off mask (after about 15 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water), or even as a moisturizer. The scent really reminds me a lot of a rice milk, not artificial, not overpowering. Super easy to spread evenly to the whole face, just make sure that you use just the right amount of the product for your skin because when I applied too much I felt like the product didn’t get the chance to sink properly the next morning.
The mask came in two different size too, the 50ml jar and the 60ml tube. You can purchase this through Papuros Shop or Belanja Mimo or other online shops. I got mine from Papuros Shop for IDR 190.000,00 (60ml), it’ll last you for quiet sometime. On average, I’ll probably use this mask 2-3 times a week. All in all, I can definitely tell you guys that I really like this mask and I will repurchase this. Great for all sleeping mask newbie out there. It really hydrates and nourish your skin from within. If you do have an acne prone skin like me, maybe it’s time to limit the use of skin drying / irritating products and start to add more hydrating skin products because your acne might be the sign of our dehydrated skin.
Thanks for checking this out, I’ll see you all again on my upcoming post.
Stay tuned, Bunnies! ♥

The Witch That Charms All of Us
In case your wondering whether your going to read a spooky article in midst of this Halloween theme month, on my heavily related beauty blog, I must say that you’re not. Although I am going to talk about a witch, not a real witch obviously, never have I imagine myself writing a blog about my encounter with a witch. Which, I beg for the Lord not to jinx myself because of what I just wrote. Speaking of ‘witch’, today I’ll be talking about this witch that the internet has been raving about for quiet sometime. Yes, it is the Thayers Toner Witch Hazel in Rose Petal, an alcohol free toner that people just can’t stop talking about.
Sadly I can’t really recall when and where did I purchase this toner, but maybe around last year. This huge bottle of toner could probably last you around six months or so even with regular use. I’m almost done with this toner and I think I could give you guys several heads up before buying it. Along side with the Witch Hazel herself, that’s organic, there are Aloe, Vegetable Glycerin, Fragrance from Natural Rose, Rose Water, Citric Acid, Grapefruit Seed Extract and Water crafted together to create such a modest but engaging concoction.
For me this is a-okay everyday yet multipurpose toner. I mean it’s not an exfoliating toner that you know, going to transform your skin, making it baby’s bottom soft. But it is an alcohol free toner that won’t dry your skin out like the old alcohol heavily based and smelled toner that our mom, well at least my mom, used to use. It is even slightly moisturizing thanks to aloe and glycerin as its 2nd and 3rd ingredients. One of the many reason to buy a toner is to help our skin restore its natural pH level that might’ve been wracked up when we cleanse our face with cleansers, beforehand. Thayers claimed that the pH level of this toner range between 5.5 - 6, which is great because that is also our natural pH level. Also, to ensure that there will be no dirt left on our face. And I do think that this toner does what a toner should do, after using it my skin felt toned but not tight.
I said that it’s multipurpose cause I personally use it as a face mist too. I transferred the toner to my Muji’s 30ml spray bottle, that is just so handy to carry around and that is great way to refresh your skin throughout the day without having to buy a separate face mist. Shout out to all of my thrifties homie out there! Not to mention that you can also use this toner as a substitute for water when you DIY-ing a clay mask, although it is not going to work well with Bentonite Clay, that gal only need ACV for the rest of her life and she’ll be fine.
If you’re wondering which scent should you get, I got the rose one, well it’s just a matter of preference. Whether it’s Lavender, Rose, Cucumber or the Unscented one won’t really gives you an added skincare benefits, its just a matter of a scents, really. The price of this Thayers Toner could be vary in different online shops but I guess the price would be around IDR 280.000,00 - IDR 300.000,00 for 355ml of product, you can check Belanja Mimo, Beauty Haul and Crown Box Store for the toner. Must that I tell you that there are also people whose not necessarily pleased by the toner because of their personal reasons, like their skin just didn’t seemed to like the toner. So maybe you can check other people reviews on Female Daily and Makeupalley.
Well I guess that is it for now and I’ll see you again on my next post.
Toodles! ♥

The Old But Gold Cleansing Oil
If you’ve been into the K-beauty phenomenon for quiet sometime, this Innisfree Apple Seed Cleansing Oil (prev. known as Apple Juicy) shouldn’t be a surprise for you guys. This old dude (for whatever reason I just can’t call this cleansing oil a ’she’, because the ‘seed’ part of the name feels so masculine (?)) performed well enough to make me wanting to get another bottle of it, but since this is my first water friendly cleansing oil I think I still wanted to try another bunch of them out there. Anyway, I’ve known about cleansing oils in general and the double cleansing method (that I’ve talked about here) couple years ago but never necessarily intrigued to really try it because I figured that my skin was always fine with just a single cleanser. It wasn’t until when my skin started to breaking out here and there that I realized that I might’ve been lacking in terms of cleansing my face thoroughly.
I bought this cleansing oil back in mid April and only’ve been running out of it just about last week, so yeah there goes a long 5 months with this 150ml cleansing oil. I used it everyday, on the PM, to remove any sunscreen or perhaps makeup that I use that day, 1 pump for sunscreen only day and 1 ½ pump for makeup day. I massaged the oils onto my dry face with dry hands for about a minute in a circular motion, going upwards, concentrating on areas where I’m prone to clogged pores and rinse it all out with a warm water. Does it rinse well with just water? Yes. Why? Because this is not a classic thick cleansing oil. This is a chemically engineered oils that will emulsify with water, it turns into a milky liquid once met with water. Don’t be afraid with the word ‘chemical’ above. In short, I believe that some chemicals could be threatening for our well being and we do need to avoid it, but there are also other chemicals that is good for us. We just need to learn more, read more, and understand more about it.
My experience with this cleansing oil has been nothing but pleasant, it doesn’t give me that blurry and stingy eyes experience that some people had with different cleansing oils. Although, if you’re intended to remove a heavy-duty waterproof eye makeup, I suggest using a separate or specific eye makeup remover that will be gentle on your eye area but yet effectively remove your eye makeup, but for sunscreen and foundation it’ll be alright. It has a refreshing apple scent that kind of unnoticeable the more I use it. I bought this Innisfree cleansing oil from Skin Tea Time or you can buy it straight from the Innisfree offline store (so happy that they finally have an offline store in Bandung!) for IDR 195.000,00-. My only peeve about this cleansing oil is that the pump could squirt the product crazily, so make sure that you put your palm directly under the pump and press the pump ever so gently. For travel wise, I recommend re-bottling the oils into Miniso’s 15ml pump bottle and it’ll served you well, just make sure that you press the top cap tightly. To end this post, I can say that this is a great basic cleansing oil to begin with, sooo... if you’re still figuring out on which cleansing oil that you should try for the first time I could definitely say check this guy out.
Thanks for checking this out, I’ll see you all again on my upcoming post.
Stay tuned, Bunnies! ♥

The Social Butterfly Moisturizer
I am definitely that person who appreciate my skincare product once it’s about to ran out and of course this particular moisturizer included. At first, I wasn’t so sure about writing a review about this moisturizer as I feel like it didn’t do anything except making my skin plump and hydrated, which, hello? That’s the point of using a moisturizer in the first place anyway, right? Keeping dehydrated, imbalance and dull skin miles away from us. I was so distracted by my acne during my first trial with this CosRx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion, so I might have missed the little changes that it gave me, nothing super transformative by the way, but it balance out the sebum production on my skin, especially on my forehead. When our skin is super oily, that might’ve been a sign that our skin is dehydrated. So, this guy helped me balance out my sebum production by properly hydrating my skin thus my face produce less unnecessary oil.
Typically the first ingredient of a moisturizer is H2O, however this moisturizer uses 70% Birch tree sap juice (jus getah pohon Birch). But have no fear sweetheart, this moisturizer won’t be sticky like a real sap would be, with whatever technology that is existed in conjunction with the use of glycerin and dimethicone, CosRx manage to turn this tree sap based moisturizer into a gel like texture that sinked fairly quick onto our skin. In the latest South Korean beauty trend, along side with Snail mucin as Joe Jonas (THE frontman) and Centella Asiatica as Nick Jonas (2nd hottest brother, tho personally I think he’s number 1 now), Birch juice is like Kevin Jonas, the underrated hottie.
Birch juice is actually a very beneficial ingredient, it contains 11 different amino acids, sugars and minerals that will provide us great nutrients, it also has amazing moisturizing properties. Birch juice is able to mimic your skin’s natural NMF (natural moisturizing factor), which helps retaining moisture and maintaining a positive oil-moisture balance in the skin, as been told by The Klog. When consumed orally, it could gives you a boost of electrolytes and hydration to your body and it’s been said to be “the next” coconut water.
I call it as the social butterfly moisturizer because it literally is. This moisturizer isn’t only terrific for those who is just like me, team oily and acne-prone, but also for those with sensitive skin and even team dry skin could also be benefited by this moisturizer. What’s even more exciting for me is that this moisturizer is pH balanced! Ever since I’m breaking out (acne) I’m trying to keeping my skin pH pretty balance. It goes around 4.5 - 6.5, that’s our natural balanced skin pH by the way and yes, our natural skin pH IS slightly acidic. By keeping our skin pH balance, to the slightly acidic side, we’re going to prevent the growth of acne bacteria. So, when I know that this moisturizer is on pH 5, I’m-just-thrilled.
I bought this back in February from Papuros Shop for Rp 240.000,00- you’ll get a semi-transparent hardy plastic pump bottle with 100ml of product in it. These days I’ll mix it with oils, such as Rose Hip and Hemp Seed oil, couldn't be more happier with the result. It is actually not really a problem for me but it does contain Lemon Peel and Tea Tree oil, in case any of you find yourself sensitize easily by these two, although I must say that the two ingredients listed at the very bottom of the list so supposedly it is not that concentrated. I believe that both oils used for product scent purposes and I, personally, find the scent very pleasing. It reminds me of a sort of fresh from the shower kinda scent. It’s lightweight but moisturizing, basic but it gets the job done. Although the idea of using a tree sap as a skincare might be still quiet foreign for us, but it really works.
I’ll see you all again on my upcoming post.

The Overrated $9 Liquid That Really Works
I was so hesitant at first to write my review about The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, because even after 1 month of continuously using this serum, twice a day, I still haven’t figure out what it really does to my skin. Before I start talking about my own experience with this serum I think it would appropriate for me to talk a little about The Ordinary brand itself and do quick intro about the star of the show, Niacinamide and Zinc, in case you don’t know what the hell it is just like me 5 months ago.
The Ordinary comes under the DECIEM umbrella (Hylamide, NIOD, Fountain). The Ordinary's founder Brandon Truaxe built the brand on total transparency. Their approach on straightforwardness (I mean just look at how they named their products, Niacinamide 10%, Retinol 1%, Lactic Acid 5%, no further explanation needed, if you’re still confuse by the name then just visit their website, a literal skincare-pedia for all of their product) just mesmerized me, no gimmick, no this is a glow serum, this is a youthful serum, just straight the star ingredients, except for the Buffet, do your research and you’ll know why it’s called the ‘Buffet’. Aside from the straightforwardness, The Ordinary charm lies on its product price. For an example the Drunk Elephant vitamin C serum is charged for $80 while The Ordinary’s Vitamin C Suspension 23% will cost you $9.70, sounds too good to be true right? But Truaxe told Caroline Hirons that he invented The Ordinary because 'brands...continue to disguise commodity innovation for ingenuity through creative use of packaging, communication and pricing.' His way of keeping the prices down in his new range is to take the in demand compounds people are after, split them across serums and keep the margins low and standard.
Now let’s talk about what the heck is Niacinamide? So, Niacinamide is a Vitamin B3 that will help us to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion, a congested skin is a great canvas for acne bacteria to grow. While Zinc on the other hand is supposedly to help you balance out your sebum production, the excessive sebum production could lead you to skin congestion, so yeah these two ingredients really do complements each other. Some studies also said that Niacinamide can suppress the melanin production of our skin thus resulting a brighter skin tone. Do note that The Ordinary wrote on their website that this particular product is not an acne treatment product.
I bought this serum last April, but only begin to use it steadily from May through the mid of July. I use it twice a day, straight after washing my face on the AM and after an essence on the PM. At the middle of July I start getting lazy using the serum because I thought it didn't do anything visibly beneficial to my skin, but things got a little crazy when I stopped using it. The time when I stopped using it also happens to be that time of the month where I got my period, my hormone was taking its own roller coaster ride at the time and.. BAM! my hormonal breakout was inevitable, plus I was also exposed to a quite dusty environment (re: forgot to change my bed sheets regularly). After I’m done with my period that month, I was still breaking out, not as hefty as I was on my period, but little pimples was bugging me here and there. I went to the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid to cleanse my pores from within, but it didn’t work, I broke out even more. For whatever reason the Cosrx BHA liquid never benefits me, let me know if you ever tried and succeeded with the Paula Choice’s one, please.
Another period started to approach me again, it was in the middle of August by the way, so yeah I had a major breakout for a month long. I read on the internet that someone who battled with acne tried using this mixture for a week, every night to combat her acne and she said it works. Inspired by that exact story I decided to reintroduce the Aztec Indian Healing clay + Apple Cider Vinegar mixture to my routine for a week, focusing on my forehead because that’s my main warzone. First attempt, the next morning I woke up looking GREAT, my pores seemed like they’re shrinking in size and it calmed my inflamed acne, so I thought it really does work and definitely gonna try out this clay mixture for a week, every night. Several attempts later, my forehead still looking like a warzone. It turns out that the Aztec clay mixture was too sensitizing for my skin to being use in a daily basis. The theory is when you sensitize, over exfoliate your skin, your skin barrier gets thinner, fragile and making it prone to dryness which provoke excessive sebum production that could clogged your pores hence acne is born.
After a late realization of how I shouldn’t use a pretty strong clay mask everyday, I stopped using it and reintroduce The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to my routine once again. I was still in a pretty pitiful break out at the time, I use the serum night and day, 5 drops, a drop on my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. After 2 days, I noticed that my inflamed acne calmed when I woke up and how my forehead that use to be oily even after that crazy drying Aztec week is not greasy at all. So I do think that this serum really living it up to it claims in terms of helping me balance out my sebum production and this is a great thing for an acne prone skin people like me. Another thing that I noticed is that this serum will help me prevent my fresh from the oven acne scar from darkening, it’ll still leaves a mark but very very subtle. In terms of an old acne scar I think that this serum will help lighten those scars, but it’ll take few months before you notice how lighter it became from the original color.
I’m not so sure about whether this serum will erase your acne scars completely, but based on my experience I do think it’ll help those scars less noticeable, but gradually, patience is the key everyone (hug!). I bought this serum from Ben Scrub at IDR 209.000,00- and I think it could last you 3-4 months with a regular use. The texture of this serum is a little silicone-ish, but it dries and absorbs quickly. Some didn’t like to use this under makeup, so they preferred to use this only at nighttime, but so far I don’t have that kind of problem so I’ve been using it religiously day and night. Bottom line is I do recommend this serum for those who is battling with acne to those who have a combination to oily skin, although dry skin might also benefited from this serum for its brightening properties and yes, I would definitely repurchase this serum.
I’ll see you all again on my upcoming post.

TGB’s Makeup Essentials
Hey guys! So, today I am back with a fresh post. Before this, usually I only did skincare related post, since skincare has always been my top priorities over the years, especially since I got my first major breakout on my forehead (up until today) two years ago. I’ve never been a makeup person since like forever, never once I wore the subtlest makeup to campus, I just don’t think its necessary. However, I do wore light makeup occasionally, a tad heavier for formal events, but for a casual date, casual hangouts and other casual occasions I opt for a minimum makeup look. These items are my top favorite makeup products for my minimum makeup look.
Let’s start it off from the base. So far, I have only tried two drugstore concealer which was the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal and the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. But the Maybelline one is my favorite. It is lightweight, able to cover my redness, dark spots and hyperpigmentations. Just make sure that you set it with a powder afterwards, the concealer lasted pretty well on me up until 5 hours-ish. It could turns a little bit ashy under the eyes, but lately I tried to color corrected my under eyes with an orange cream from the Makeover Camouflage Cream Face Concealer and it works. My under eyes went from ashy to bright looking under eyes. I'm in the color Sand Sable.
Now, I am going to tell you my all time favorite makeup item: it is the Glossier Cloudpaint in Dusk! If you do have a light-medium complexion just like me, then you will love Dusk. It compliments my skintone so well, I could just cry. I did a mini review and swatches about the cloudpaint on my Instagram post last month, click here to check it out. Another Glossier product worth to mention is the Boy Brow. I always felt like I could easily overdo my brows when I use a pencil or pomade (worst) to fill them out since they’re already quite bushy but pretty sparse at the tail. I was so excited to try the Boy Brow because I thought that a brow mascara would help me to get my brows looking polished without overdoing it and I was right. I would go straight from the tube and brush my tail first then going to the front of my brows with the remaining product. It doesn’t make my brows deadly stiff, it looked natural but polished. A little product goes a long way. No brainer tip: Go thread your brows once a month to keep them in shape. I opt for WaxHaus at Dipa Junction, affordable and nicely done.
Next up is mascara. I am pretty so so about mascara, I mean I felt like all the mascara I’ve ever tried was all okay, nothing life changing and so does this Maybelline Hypercurl Volum Express Waterproof mascara. It’s a great basic mascara that does what it claims in terms of being a waterproof mascara. It doesn’t really clump and it removes well with a waterproof eye makeup remover. It is easy to get and affordable. Last but not least, lipcolor! I’m not crazy about the formula but I do love the color. It is the Wardah Intense Matte Lipstick in the color Peach Perfect #3. Most of my lip product usually either a pink-brown or brownish-pink tone, but after I bought the Glossier Cloudpaint in Dusk I wanted to have a lipstick that compliments the peach orange-ish color of Dusk so I was looking for an affordable peachy lipcolor and this Wardah lipstick in the shade Peach Perfect was it. Then I would sealed my makeup with a face powder and call it a day!
I’ll see you again on my upcoming skincare post next week.
(hint: The Ordinary)

SSSUN 101 - TGB’s Top 5 Sunscreen Picks #3
We are finally here! The very last post of #SSSUN101 - 2017 series. On today’s post I’ll be sharing you guys my top 5 sunscreen picks of 2017. However, I need to tell you guys that I have NOT tried them all except the Klairs MId-day Blue Sun Lotion (which review you can find here), but I HAVE read a lot review about all of these sunscreen down below to the point that these guys might worth your next sunscreen purchase consideration and I will linked the review about each sunscreen down below, that I’ve read, in case you’re interested and wanting to dig a little deeper yourself. Now let’s get right jump into it!
| 1 | Innisfree Daily UV Protection Cream Mild SPF35 / PA+++ - 50ml
This is a physical / mineral sunscreen that is great for sensitive / acne-prone skin and perfect for a day to day basis, but maybe not enough for the beach or intense under the sun activities. I’m always a fan of a lot of Innisfree product, as the brand philosophy digs a lot about nature and how a lot of their product has a free-system, for an example this sunscreen has a 5 Free-system which means that this sunscreen is free from animal ingredients, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, tar dye and talc. Lovely isn’t? This is a better sunscreen for dry / combination skin.
Reviews - here, here, here.
Price: IDR 120.000,- ~ IDR 150.000,-
Where 2 buy: Innisfree Indonesia Senayan City / Central Park Mall (official store), Mimo Beauty, KoreaBuys.
| 2 | Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish SPF50+ / PA+++ - 55ml
Another Korean brand sunscreen and another physical / mineral sunscreen. What intrigued me to this sunscreen is the consistency, unlike the previous Innisfree one which has a more creamy consistency, this Etude House sunscreen has a more runny consistency which I think could be quite convenient for oily / combination skin and for reapplication purpose. It has SPF50 which is g-r-e-a-t and definitely my first sunscreen-2-buy option after I ran out of my Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion which probably going to happen really soon.
Reviews - here, here, here.
Price: IDR 128.000,- ~ IDR 178.700,-
Where 2 buy: Etude House (official store), Mimo Beauty, KoreaBuys.
| 3 | Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF 50+ / PA++++ - 50ml
The first Japanese and hybrid sunscreen on today’s list. What I meant by hybrid is because that this sunscreen literally contains both chemical and mineral filters, the Klairs sunscreen that I currently use is also a form of a hybrid sunscreen which I personally do not have any problem with it so I am definitely curious about this Japanese hybrid one. The consistency is not creamy nor runny but it’s more like a gel consistency. Does not contain alcohol, so sensitive skin might still able to try the fun, some says that this sunscreen is also a great makeup base.
Reviews - here, here, here.
Price: IDR 158.000,-
Where 2 buy: Sociolla.
| 4 | Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50 / PA++++ - 50ml
Be hold, the cult favorite sunscreen of all time - Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence! This is a chemical sunscreen that a lot of people raved about. Although, if you do found yourself sensitized easily by alcohol or basically has a sensitive skin in general you might want to avoid it as it does contains alcohol and chemical filters which could possibly increase the chances of irritation. It is a cult favorite for few reasons, many reviewer said that this sunscreen is so lightweight, leaves no white-cast and absorbs quickly.
Reviews - here, here, here.
Price: IDR 130.000,- ~ IDR 145.000,-
Where 2 buy: Guardian, Mimo Beauty, Beautylink by Sociolla.
| 5 | Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF40 / PA++ - 50ml
I’ve reviewed this particular sunscreen on my previous post which you can check it out more in here. A great day to day sunscreen, gives you a slight cast that’ll disappears after few hours, the texture might be quiet thick for some, contains several beneficial ingredients like Niacinamide and Centella Asiatica Extract.
Reviews - here, here, here.
Price: IDR 188.000,- ~ IDR 280.000,-
Where 2 buy: Beautylink by Sociolla, Mimo Beauty, Papuros.

SSSUN 101 - KLAIRS Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF40 / PA++ (sunscreen review) #2
Well hello there my fellow Bunnies! As what I stated on my previous post, I am back with the second part of #SSSUN101 this time is for a sunscreen review. On today’s post I’ll be sharing my experience with the KLAIRS Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF40 / PA++ that I’ve been using for months. So without any further due, let’s get started!
I bought this sunscreen back in early November 2016. You might be surprised on how this sunscreen could lasted me for almost half a year long, however I must address that for the past 6 months I haven’t been out that often and I’m quite thrifty about the amount of sunscreen that I actually use, because I thought a thin layer was enough, but I was wrong. As what I wrote on my previous post, gossmakeupchat said that for the face only we need 1.25 ml of sunscreen, roughly around a size of an almond. But even if you’re not as thrifty as I was before (you shouldn't be thrifty on your sunscreen anyway, because you NEED A LOT of it), this 50 ml tube would still probably last you roughly around 3-4 months of daily usage.
The reason why I bought this sunscreen is because I came across a lot of fairly good reviews about this sunscreen online and that the sunscreen itself has a somewhat sheer blue tint in it, and yes, I was sold, just like that. I mean, it was just so cute and super appealing to me! Oh yeah, another thing that is also kind of attracts me is the texture, people describes that the Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion has the consistency of a mousse, which is a texture of a sunscreen that I've never encountered before, so I got even more curious. If you have followed my blog for quiet some time you know that there are only 2 sunscreen (well maybe 3, including Banana Boat ages ago) that I've used in the past, which was the GMS’s Safe Sunscreen Deluxe SPF30 and Sun Lovers SPF30, both of them are definitely tricky in application, although ingredients, price, value and philosophy wise are pretty impressive, not to forget that Green Mommy Shop is one of Indonesia’s trustworthy natural brand.
| Ingredients | Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Niacinamide, Polysorbate 60, Zinc Oxide, Isoamyl p-Methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Hydrolyzed collagen, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Chlorphenesin, Xanthan Gum, Arginine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Betaine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Lactobacillus Ferment, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Fragrance, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Guaiazulene, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Lecithine, Acetyl Glutamine, SH-Oligopeptide-1, SH-Oligopeptide-2, SH-Polypeptide-1, SH-Polypeptide-9, SH-Polypeptide-11, Bacillus/Soybean/Folic Acid Ferment Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol
· Bold Blue Font: Ingredients that could possibly benefits our skin
· Bold Italic Font: Ingredients that we need to be aware of
Sooo, on to my review! I personally really do like this sunscreen, compared to the previous sunscreen I’ve ever used. I enjoyed the moussy texture, non-greasy feel, the blendability, it sink to my skin pretty quickly, how it stays put under makeup and how moisturizing it is for my (sort of) oily skin, also it minimized my sebum production throughout the day, so yeah I really do like it. However, I do still feel like this sunscreen is not all that, for example the moussy texture that I’m talking about is not exactly like the real airy and light mousse that we know, it is more like a heavier/thicker mousse but it still absorbs to the skin pretty quickly. The blue tint of the sunscreen that I’m crazy about is a pigment derived from chamomile oil called Guaiazulene which contain antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, however this tint, I believed, gives you a slight cast that will eventually disappear after 1-3 hours, so it will definitely gives us a ‘my foundation is a tad lighter’ kinda look for a little while, but it will definitely disappear eventually or if you do wear foundation it might not be noticeable at all. The sunscreen definitely has a scent, it is not too much, at all (at least for me), but I just want to give you a heads up about it just in case if you’re thinking that this innocent looking super cute blue sunscreen is unscented.
This 50 ml of tube will cost you around IDR 280.000,- if you purchase it through Papuros shop. Initially, I thought this was a physical/mineral sunscreen since it has both zinc and titanium oxide in it, however as I learned more about sunscreen ingredients (which you can also learn about it here) this also contains several chemical filters (Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, Isoamyl p-methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate) so you can say that it is some sort of a hybrid sunscreen. All in all, I do recommend this KLAIRS Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF40 / PA++. I do think that this sunscreen would performs fairly well on all skin type, it didn't sensitize my skin under the sun or after a long day outside, sweating, I don’t feel unnecessary built up on my face at the of the day, in fact I do feel that the sunscreen gets more comfortable on my skin as my day went on.
Thanks for dropping by. I’ll see you on my next post which will be the last post of the #SSSUN101 series, but until then I wish you a happy and healthy skin. Toodles! ♥

SSSUN 101 (Summer, Skin Cancer, Sunscreen) - Sun’s Up, Guard’s Up! #1
On the Northern Hemisphere like the US, summer 2017 will hit them around mid June. While us who lived in Indonesia, which crossed by the equator, summer hits us pretty much all year long. Although it’s been raining quiet a lot lately from noon and above, the sun is still quite intense at times, at least that what’s been going on here in Bandung for the months. The sky might be cloudy or that the sun is less blazing than how it normally does, doesn't mean we should neglect the importance of using sunscreen, ever. Because the UV rays might still peek through those cloudy sky and we just didn't see it, the next thing you know you’ll be presented by sun spots, wrinkles or even skin cancer. Yup! Skin. Cancer. I’m here not to scare you or anything, but I am here to tell you things that I know and share it with you guys and hopefully these things that I share today could be beneficial for all of you, Bunnies ♥
So to welcome the coming of summer of 2017 in the Northern Hemisphere and Indonesia’s all-year-long ‘summer’ and also to celebrate May’s Skin Cancer (Melanoma) Awareness Month, I will be posting a 3 part blog post related to skin cancer, sunscreen 101, sunscreen review and a TGB’s top pick sunscreen for 2017 called the SSSUN 101 (Summer, Skin Cancer, Sunscreen) - #SSSUN101. I will be posting 1 blog post each week until the end of May and make sure that you guys keep an eye on my Instagram for updates. Now let’s begin the first part of #SSSUN101 - Sun’s Up, Guard’s Up!
As I have mentioned above, according to the American Cancer Society the fifth month of the year is the month of skin cancer (melanoma) awareness month. There are three major types of skin cancers: basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and melanoma. The first two skin cancers are grouped together as non-melanoma skin cancers. Melanoma is usually, but not always, a cancer of the skin. It begins in melanocytes – the cells that produce the pigment melanin that colors the skin, hair and eyes. Melanocytes also form moles, where melanoma often develops. Yes, moles. Some signs of a cancerous melanoma include: (1) A change in size, shape, color, or elevation of a mole, (2) The appearance of a new mole during adulthood, or new pain, itching, ulceration (koreng), or bleeding of an existing mole. Melanomas are more common in younger people, especially in people ages 25 to 29.
Ultraviolet (UV) light exposure, most commonly from sunlight, is overwhelmingly the most frequent cause of skin cancer. You can start self-educating yourself by reading this in depth web post about skin cancer or simply pay a visit to your neighborhood dermatologist for monthly check up (and I probably need to do that too in the near future). There are simple things that you can do on daily basis to prevent the encounter of skin cancer/melanoma like limiting sun exposure. Try to avoid intense sun rays between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or apply sunscreen every day, not only when your about to hit the beach, like what I used to and opt for sunscreen that has both UVA and UVB protection. Start reading the label!
(source: COOLA®)
But what is UVA and UVB anyway? As you can see from the picture above, there are several sun rays that reached us, two of them could be classified as harmful rays that is: long wave ultraviolet A (UVA) and short wave ultraviolet B (UVB). UVA rays penetrate deep into the dermis, skin’s thickest layer. UVA itself could cost us several skin issues like collagen lost, hyperpigmentation, photo-aging (wrinkles) even skin cancer. While UVB would caused us an impact that might not be that threatening at first but could easily elevated to a severe level if we’re not cautious about it a.k.a sunburn.
When buying sunscreen you want to look for sunscreen that has both UVA and UVB protection. For instance, UVA protection in a sunscreen marked by the presence of a PA (The Protection Grade of UVA) or with the sentence of ‘broad spectrum’ which used by mostly Western brands, while Asian brand tends to use the word of PA instead. The ’+’ sign after the word PA indicates the amount of strength that the PA give us upon application, + means light protection, ++ means medium and +++ means high protection against the UVA. While UVB marked by the presence of a Sun Protection Factor (SPF). Speaking of SPF the number beside the word SPF means of how long the sunscreen that you’re using will able to protect your skin. Basically, SPF 5 means 50 minutes protection. Multiply your current SPF to find out how long your sunscreen really last, for an example my Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion SPF40/PA++ means that my sunscreen will last for 400 minutes or roughly around 6 hours before I need to reapply my sunscreen, while the PA++ means that I have a medium protection against the UVA rays.
Reapply my sunscreen? Is it necessary? Unless your sunscreen is waterproof than you might don’t really need to do so and if it's not waterproof than we definitely need to reapply it then. Because what happen is when you are out and about in the real world, under the sun, most probably we will definitely sweat, the sweat that we produced could really dilute the ability of the sunscreen protection itself. Some says that it is better to reapply your sunscreen every 2-3 hours or at least once a day. Few years ago I remembered quiet vividly that one of an exchange student from South Korea, the currently beauty trendsetter country, standing in front of a bathroom mirror reapplying her Skinfood Tomato Sunscreen onto her face after a class around lunch time. Either she forgot to wear it on the first place or just being thoughtful to her skin, that moment hits me. How sunscreen could be a possible priority for her to the point that she carries around her sunscreen, using it around lunch time assuming that is an act of a reapplication or just using sunscreen in the first place anyway. Because that just wasn't me.
Before college, I've never wear sunscreen on day to day basis, I only used sunscreen whenever I’m going to a pretty intense sun exposure activity like going to beach or playing softball. Upon doing my sunscreen research for #SSSUN101 - I found out that there’s a few suggestion that really do suggest we should reapply our sunscreen throughout the day. It could be quite handful but this DIY Cushion Sunscreen might do the trick for you (and me), haven’t done this before but will definitely trying it soon!
There are two types of sunscreen: physical/mineral sunscreen and chemical sunscreen. Chemical sunscreen penetrates into our skin, while physical sunscreen only sits on top of our skin just like makeup. Chemical sunscreen gives you a better application, texture, layers well under makeup and generally doesn't feel heavy. However, there are also several cons upon using chemical filters like heated skin, heated skin could cause us excessive sebum production which could clogged our pores and eventually might present us the existence of an acne. On the other hand, physical/mineral sunscreen use zinc oxide and/or titanium oxide that is much more stable than chemical filters and would not penetrates into your bloodstream. It is also great for those who has sensitive skin. The issues with physical filters is that the texture might be thick and quiet hard to work with, might leaves white cast and does not layers well under makeup. However, as time went by I feel like there’s more and more product that will work for each one of us, we just need to explore our options and be patience about it. All and all I still prefer the physical/mineral ones as for me the pros still overcome the cons.
Try to avoid sunscreen that contains Ozybenzone (Benzophone-3) as it able to penetrate deeply into our skin then into our bloodstream and eventually disrupt our hormone stability. Retinyl Palmitate is also an ingredient that you want to avoid because it has the potential of causing us skin tumor. So again, start reading your product label, kay?
Never skip your sunscreen even when your bb cushion or foundation for instance says that they contains SPF30/PA+++ because they will not give you the real UVA and UVB protection. The same goes with moisturizer, instead of trying to find a moisturizer that doubles up as a sunscreen, opt for sunscreen that could also moisturize your skin that is enriched with ingredients that able nourish your skin. According to gossmakeupchat who has asked three different dermatologists said that we generally need to apply 1.25ml of sunscreen (roughly around the size of an almond) to get the perfect sunscreen protection, face only. Crazy right? So imagine how our face will look like after using an almond sized foundation, everyday. Nope not gonna happen.
Well, that last paragraph wraps up #SSSUN101 first series - Sun’s Up, Guard’s Up. I hope I am able to give you one, two or maybe a few enlightenment about skin cancer, sun rays and sunscreen in general (or perhaps confusing you? kkk). Note to yourself though, remember that I am not a dermatologist or an expert in any possible way, so I might be wrong and please do correct me if I’m wrong, I would really love to know/learn and you can always ask a real dermatologist for more deeper understanding about all of the things above.
Thanks for dropping by. I’ll see you on my next post, but until then I wish you a happy and healthy skin. Toodles! ♥

TALK OF THE TOWN (#TOTT): The Double Cleanse
Good morning, Bunnies ♥ Happy Seclusion Day & Saka New Year to all Hindu friends out there!
I’m backkkkk! Kkkkkk~ I apologize for being M.I.A for quiet sometime, there’s been a lot of things that happened to me these past 6+ months or so. But here I am today, back, with a new blog post, a new section of post that is different from my usual review type of post. This new section of TGB called - Talk of The Town or #TOTT, where on this specific section I will discuss or deliver the hottest beauty trends out there or in depth talk about certain beauty topic like what I am going to talk about on today’s or #TOTT’s first ever post, which is about The Double Cleanse. Now let’s begin, shall we?
THE DOUBLE CLEANSE
Theoretically, I grew up witnessing my mom doing the double cleansing method or the 2 step cleansing routine (whichever you preferred to call it), because basically she would took off her makeup by slathering the oh-so-famous milk cleanser a.k.a susu pembersih onto her whole face, massaging it while making sure that her makeup melts and merge together with the cleanser, wipe off the now makeup polluted milk cleanser with cotton pads, then proceed the cleansing process by using a pretty heavy alcohol based toner (cause you can obviously tell the alcohol presence from the moment you twist the cap of the bottle) which usually came as a set with the milk cleanser in the first place anyway, then she would followed up her cleansing routine with water soluble cleanser and finished her routine with another swipe of that same alcohol heavy toner from previous step for a ‘now my skin is fully fresh and clean’ kinda feeling.
I also found myself utilized my mom’s cleansing routine back on my junior high-high school days, which I never had any problem with it. But as I grew older, as I knew that I’m quiet interested about beauty, I started to read, educating myself about ingredients, how to do this, that, what’s trending and what’s new. Innovation for me is definitely heavily related with the beauty industry, how can we prevent wrinkles, how to help women have a more collagen-packed skin and more and more questions are present and thus encourage the birth of even more innovation. Speaking about innovation, I crossed path with K-Beauty (Korean Beauty) world few years ago, which in my opinion is one of the highly innovated beauty industry. Let’s call out the BB creams, BB cushion/foundations, lip tints, gradient/ombre lip trend that even the western beauty industry starting to make their own version of K-Beauty product, even YSL, by launching their own version of BB (cushion) foundation last year. Despite the global success of popularizing their makeup trends to the world, for the last 2-3 years the K-Beauty industry started to popularizing their skincare trends, which includes their version of double cleansing routine.
The korean double cleansing method requires the usage of 2 type of cleanser; an oil based cleanser and water based cleanser. To begin this method, first you’ll need an oil based cleanser, there’s cleansing oil (no worry here, the current marketed cleansing oil usually will easily emulsify once met with water & won’t clogged your pores nor caused you breakouts) and a cleansing balm, most of korean cleansing balm has the texture of a sorbet & will melts away after receiving heat from being rubbed against your palms. After you got yourself your own choice of an oil based cleanser, all you have to do is take an adequate amount of the cleanser, rub it between your palms, massage your palm onto your face gently in upward motions and watch your makeup melts away. Rinse your face with water and get ready for the second step.
The purpose of the first step or using an oil based cleanser is to only remove your makeup and/or sunscreen, because when you're using makeup and/or sunscreen you’ll create an additional layer above your skin as makeup and sunscreen are not designed to penetrate into your skin nor has benefits to nourish your skin. Although sunscreen considered as a skincare product it is meant to stay firmly above your skin to protect your skin from sun damage, like a shield, and if your makeup or sunscreen or both did not cleared thoroughly than it’ll clogged your pores, blocking your skin from breathing, blocking other skincare product to penetrates and work properly and even worse, causing us acne cause dirt is trapped.
The second step meant to cleanse our skin, our bare skin, not the skin that is covered with makeup/sunscreen. This step will cleanse our bare skin thoroughly, a well cleansed skin will be a great canvas for your serum, eye cream, essence, moisturizer, you name it, to really work properly and present you its maximum benefits as the product will be able to penetrates deeply into your skin and nourish your skin from within. Now, your skin is freely breathing and got all the room to really digest each benefit from each ingredients that’s been given. For this step you will need a gentle foaming cleanser, unless you have a dry skin, opt for a milder or non-foaming cleanser as foaming cleanser might strip off your skin moisture barrier.
Supposedly this cleansing method generally meant to be adapt for the night time because generally we use makeup and/or sunscreen or exposed to the well polluted environment on day time, but some people might went to an extent where they also apply this double cleansing method for their A.M. routine. Currently, I use the Bioderma Hydrabio H2O Micelle Solution as my first step cleanser, which I thought was perfect for my dry skin, months later a dermatologist told me that I have an oily skin instead, bummer. I opt for micellar water instead of cleansing oil/balm because I don't really found myself wearing makeup that often and that the process itself is super quick and easy. For the second step I’m currently using the Su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick, it’s a gentle low pH cleanser that we will talk about more in the upcoming #TOTT post.
#TGBrec ♥
Oil Based Cleanser: Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil · Banila Co. Clean It Zero (Purity)
Water Based Cleanser: Neogen Real Fresh Foam Green Tea · Sensatia’s Soap-free Cleansers
I personally feel like I’m on the same page with this double cleansing method thing, like I really get what they’re trying to do here. I don't necessarily wear makeup on day to day basis but I most definitely never skipped sunscreen, so double cleansing is a must. Although, if don’t go out that day, just laying low at home all day long, I think I’m gonna skip the first step and going straight to the second cleanser anyway. But in the end, not every routine/method is for everyone, so try to experiment with different routine/methods to found which one works the best for your skin or you can just stick with your current routine.
Thanks for dropping by. I’ll see you on my next post, but until then I wish you a happy and healthy skin. Toodles! ♥

Monthly Haul: June 2016
Selamat hari Sabtu, Bunnies!
Rather than writing a review post, hari ini aku lagi pengen bikin haul post, which is merupakan konten baru yang aku tulis di The Glowing Bunny (TGB) ini, yang basically berisikan tentang produk-produk apa aja yang baru aku beli dan first impression aku tentang produk-produk tersebut. So, without any further due let’s get started!
“Aloe Vera*, Rosehip, Golden Jojoba, Calendula, Jeruk Purut Essential Oil*, Roses, Frankincense, Seabucktorn, Schizandra, Ylang-ylang Essential Oil*, Kasturi Essential Oil*, Pomegranate, Rose Essential Oil turunan*, Rosemary Essential Oil, Sage, Sandalwood, Kunyit essential oil*, Temulawak Essential Oil*. *Organik.”
Seee? Loaded with ingredients that are just rich in nutrients. From what I can see, serum ini tuh mungkin lebih masuk ke kategori antioxidant serum kali ya. Konsistensinya agak cair dan warnanya kayak sheer yellowish gitu. Oiya, wanginya juga enak loh kayak manis buah kiwi. Anyway, pas nanti aku nyelesaiin 1 botol serum mungkin aku bakalan langsung bikin review khusus about this serum alone.
Meski botolnya sama-sama kecil kayak si Blooming Beauty Serum diatas, tapi dia ini merupakan facial oil yang bisa dipake juga both as a face cleanser and face exfoliator, namanya Soul of Roses. Wanginya agak quirky sih, tapi gak ganggu kok, relax.
It was definitely better than what I was expected, walaupun konsistensinya agak thick tapi to my surprise, gampang banget menyerap ke kulit.
Now let’s talk about facial mask, masih dari GMS, promise you this is my last GMS haul this month, they’re just so addictive! Aku belum coba facial mask ini sama sekali, tapi alesanku beli masker ini tuh soalnya masker Sensatia Botanicals ku yang Wild Honey (yang udah pernah aku review sebelumnya disini) sudah mau habis dan obviously I was looking for a replacement, lalu aku ketemu masker ini, yang ngingetin aku sama Mermaid Mask nya Leahlani Skincare (ingredients wise), one of my ultimate skincare wishlist, but it’s just waaay out of my current budget.
Next up, I have Pixi Glow Tonic, the most talked about exfoliating toner in the past months.
Aku beli yang 100 ml buat trial dulu cocok apa engga, kalau nanti produknya sudah habis aku pakai I most probably will make a final review about this lovely toner, whether I’m gonna purchase the full size bottle or not after I’m finish with the 100 ml bottle.
Aku memang baru pakai satu kali tapi first impression eyeliner ini baik sekali menurutku.

Produk kedua yang mau aku review and have been loving it lately tuh ya si Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Aloe Soothe Lotion. Kenapa? It spreads so easily yet wanginya tuh seger banget apalagi kalo dipake sehabis mandi pagi, yes, my favorite time of the day to wear this lotion is in the morning.
Oiya, wangi varian Advanced Strength ini juga lembut banget loh, very relaxing in my opinion and it also helps me to get a better sleep at night, somewhat therapeutic.
Last but not least, ada si Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Cocoa Radiant™ Lotion.
Kayaknya review kali ini sampai sini dulu aja ya, it has been quite a long post actually tapi semoga review ku kali ini bisa membantu memberikan informasi-informasi baru yang berguna buat kalian ya. I’ll see you all again on my next post, bye!

Munggahan Vaseline - Welcoming The Holy Month of Ramadan with Vaseline
Good evening, Bunnies!
Kali ini, berbeda dengan beberapa post terakhirku, aku mau me-review sebuah beauty event Vaseline bernama Munggahan Vaseline yang aku hadiri beberapa waktu lalu. #munggahanvaseline ini bertemakan Shades of Blue, diadakan di Cloud Lounge and Dining, Jakarta dan dihadiri beberapa beauty blogger ternama seperti Putri Caya, Ucita Pohan,Tara Amelz dan Safiyya Hellua (@thelipstickmafia) - and they all looked super stunninggg, am having somewhat of a starstruck kinda moment. Dalam rangka menyambut bulan Ramadan (puasa), Vaseline ingin membantu mengedukasi kita mengenai bagaimana caranya menghindari kekeringan kulit berlebih pada saat bulan puasa nanti.
Little that I know, dr.
Sebelumnya, aku memang harus reapply varian Aloe Soothe ini beberapa kali throughout the day, tapi setelah kandungannya direformulasi aku gak perlu repot sering-sering reapply kecuali setiap habis cuci tangan.
(a very cool Dry Skin Diagnostic Tool, that was given by Vaseline)
At the end of the day, aku sangat berterimakasih kepada Vaseline karena sudah mengundang dan mengedukasiku mengenai bagaimana cara menghindari kekeringan kulit pada bulan puasa nanti maupun hari-hari biasa kedepannya. Oiya, selain sesi talkshow dan tanya jawab, event #munggahanvaseline kemarin juga menghadirkan a very fun DIY Ramadan greeting cards workshop oleh Dinda Puspitasari (@dindaps).
I also met this lovely ladies at yesterday’s #munggahanvaseline who made my first beauty event as a blogger less awkward than I expected. Kindly check their blog to know more about them Tiara Nabila and Zeila Mutia Devi.

Green Mommy Shop - Safe Sunscreen Deluxe SPF 30
Good morning, Bunnies ♥
Sebelumnya, aku gak pernah mikir kalo pake sunscreen tuh sepenting itu. I will always slather on moisturizer only no matter what, karena concern utamaku selama ini adalah kalo aku skip moisturizer kulitku bakalan jadi kering banget and the worst part is that flaky skin around my nose. Aku gak pernah terlalu aware sama pentingnya pake sunscreen, ya karena dampak yang dirasain kalo gak pake sunscreen tuh gak langsung, gak kayak kalo gak pake moisturizer.
But you know what? Sunscreen is indeed essential. Dampak dari memaparkan kulit kita langsung ke sinar matahari tanpa perlindungan apapun (moisturizer gak punya peran apa-apa loh dalam memproteksi kulit kita dari bahayanya paparan sinar matahari, unless ya mengandung SPF) could be bad, like really bad. Aku baru rutin pake sunscreen tuh sekitar 1 tahun belakangan, sebelumnya I only use sunscreen for an extreme outdoor exposures only (sports, beaches, etc). Sampai akhirnya aku sadar sesuatu, I have sun spots (bintik matahari), yang merupakan salah satu early stage sign of aging and I was like only 18. Lebay sih, but it’s a sign that I haven’t really taking care of my skin that well dan kalo aku gak cepet-cepet do something, it might be even worst, right? Wrinkles? Penuaan dini? Not an option!
Sunscreen natural pertamaku memang datang dari Green Mommy Shop (GMS), bentuknya liquid namanya Sun Lovers SPF 30, it was okay cuman agak terlalu oily in my opinion.
It helps the sunscreen to be less thicker dan bener-bener bisa melembapkan kulitku seharian.
Ingredients:
Cacao Butter*, Beeswax*, Patchouli Essential Oil*, Zinc Oxide, Non GMO Corn Powder, Grapeseed Oil, Rosemary Oil.
*Organic
That’s it! Simple banget kan ingredientsnya, tapi efektif.
Overall, I’m loving this sunscreen. Harganya Rp 86.250,00 isinya 35 ml tapi awet banget udah sekitar 7 bulan aku pakai dan masih belum habis. Waktu kadaluarsanya juga lama, sekitar 1 tahun. Walaupun agak ribet pemakainnya tapi sunscreen ini bisa jadi produk 2 in 1, karena merangkap both as a sunscreen and day time moisturizer dan mungkin memang lebih cocok untuk kulit yang cenderung kering sepertiku. However, pas nanti habis kayaknya aku gak akan repurchase karena penasaran sama Coola Face SPF 20 Rose Essence Tint yang udah banyak direview sana-sini, walaupun kalo price wise memang lebih expensive, but I’ll try to give it a go anytime soon.

Hi farica! It's really nice to see your blog. I've been wondering pore cleanser GMS yg kamu jadikan first love itu yg mana ya? Really looking forward to your answer. Hihi thanks!
