“Everything was so much easier, when I didn’t care…everything was so much easier until you…” Draco exhaled a painful sigh which penetrated Hermione’s heart for a what felt like years. A tears slowly shed from both lovers eyes which were tightly fixed on the other, incapable of loosening the gaze, afraid it’d be the last. 

Draco clenched his teeth, and struggled to expose his whimpers as he whispered, “Every beautiful thing about you, is what got me here. None of these damned situations would have happened if it weren’t for my solid plan to keep you safe.”

Hermione’s breaths were becoming quicker, and trembled to every word he muttered out of his pale, thin lips.

“None of this would have happened if I cared about you…” Draco finally let go of his breath and panted with his ongoing sobs as they echoed throughout the empty room although Hermione tried to remain calm even though she was a tear away from breaking out of her invisible chains of emotion.

So vulnerable, she thought. So strong, he thought.
