Think Like a #LadyBoss WINNERS FAIL MORE TIMES THAN LOSERS EVEN TRY... Have you ever heard that saying? It's one of my very favourites because it reminds me of what separates those that create success and those that don't. But, to be honest, it took me a really long time to take it on board. Because, for the longest time (almost 18 months), virtually all I ever did was fail. But, the more I expanded my understanding and self awareness, and the more I worked with amazing coaches, it became clear that I wasn't failing my way to success at all... I WAS FAILING BECAUSE I WASN'T TRYING ENOUGH I would hinge all of my success on ONE kick-ass lead magnet, ONE amazing email, ONE inspired Facebook post, ONE brilliant webinar, ONE fabulous periscope challenge, or ONE incredible speech. And, when it didn't get results, I'd go and hide in a corner and berate myself for not being good enough. I'd take days to lick my wounds and make excuses. I'd cry to my partner about how rubbish I must be and how I should just go back and get a 9-5. For the next couple of weeks, every piece of marketing I put out would be uninspired, flat and totally half-hearted. And then, once I'd built my confidence back up, I'd formulate a new plan, and hinge everything on that ONE thing and, when it didn't pay off, the whole cycle would start again. So, what can you do if you're stuck in this cycle? Pay attention to the saying WINNERS FAIL MORE TIMES THAN LOSERS EVEN TRY... You have to keep trying. Because, particularly when you're just learning how to spread your message, you WILL FAIL many more times than you'll win. Expect 10 failures for every win. Sometimes even more. And so make sure you are consistently spreading the word, honing your message and your voice, making offers, putting yourself in front of your audience, and tweaking and testing your approach until you discover the magic sauce that will lead to you winning more often than you fail.
