People don’t realise how important fandoms are. They aren’t just random “losers” and “geeks” that don’t have a life. We are a family. We are all important individuals who have found love and acceptance through the wonderful worlds of our beloved books/tv shows/movies/music. We all have learned to express ourselves and find joy. Those who were once alone now have friends online that they can talk with. We all support each other.

All of us, united by a single share in interests (or multiple if you’re a multi fan like me). So don’t make fun of us by calling us “losers”. Because where the real world failed us our fandoms have saved us. The music we listen to, the words we read on the pages of books, the magic we watch on T.V, all of this has been an important part in teaching us about the importance of life and that we mean something. That we are heard and that we are loved. They helped us find our own place in life. I know they did for me. My books and my favourite music and tv shows have helped me grow in ways that real people would have seen destroyed.
