Folks at work talking about how there should be forced sterilizations (either hysterectomies or the male form described below) for people unable to pass some sort of minimum intelligence test or prove that they are capable fo being responsible for future children. 

*Apparently there is some new form of male “sterilization” being studied in Japan that involves injecting polymers into the urethra that strip the sperm of the tails making them imobile.*

That’s called EUGENICS. Beyond the most well-known example (the Nazis, eventually leading toward the mass extermination of those deemed “unworthy,” “unfit,” or a drain on society), the U.S. engaged in it leading to forced hysterectomies for women who were “dumb” or otherwise mentally handicapped. 

No matter how “noble” or “good” your reasoning behind it is, it will NEVER be ok. I’m DISGUSTED that they are mostly serious about the necessity.

People telling me, “Do you actually care about stuff? Don’t. It’s a waste of time. You’ll never change anything.”

That is BULLSHIT. If we never try to change things, things will never change. History proves that change does happen. So let’s make it change. Let’s be advocates for good. For love and equality. Fuck the people who tell you otherwise.

Well this is terrible. I’ve told many people, it isn’t necessarily Trump I fear, it’s the bigoted, sexist, and racist folks he’s given a voice to that concerns me most.

Travel in packs.

Tonight I was threatened in the parking lot of a Best Buy. I am a white femme in my late 30s.

I was carrying my purchase and heading to my car. A pair of young white men were following me. I put my things in to the car and as they passed me, one of the men said, “bitches shouldn’t be out alone anymore.”

His friend laughed.

It was dark. I couldn’t see their faces well. One was blond, the other a brunette. They got into their car. I got into mine as fast as I could, drove back to our hotel, and shook a lot until I could go inside. 

I have no plans to report it to the police. What would they do? I couldn’t even identify those men. 

Please, kids. Travel in packs. Don’t be alone if you can help it. Especially after dark.

This has been a rough couple days. I’ve cried for myself, and I’ve cried for my friends who don’t feel like this is a President who represents and supports them. 

I have no idea what’s going to happen, but let’s hope that Trump realizes that he will be President over all the citizens of this country.
