Teach to 'Disobey'

"Disobedience", a word featuring in the "Don"t" section of the Rule Book, a word shrouded with deep, dark shades of Indiscipline, Aggression, Bad Parenting, Poor Upbringing and shameful behavior. Isn't that what we were taught?

Learn to obey - the guided path to Heaven. Obey, your parents, your teacher, the Constitution, your Relationships, the spiritual guru and all that we are grateful about in the wider solar system.

Since when have we started to become that 'good child'..?

When we stopped playing in the mud, when we stopped dismantling that expensive toy to find out what makes it so special, when we feared venturing into the deep woods, when we stopped trying to write with both hands, when we hushed up conversations that are 'taboo' for society, when we stopped questioning the 'halo' surrounding the legacy. Basically, when we became 'Compliant'.

Is that 'Good' or "Bad'?

Good of course, because in doing so, we followed the positive norms of the world - that prevents, protects and cares.

On the other side, what goes on inside the laboratories of Space Research & Medicine, R&D Wings of Multinationals, Digital Technology Hubs and all those corners of the World where sleep is a luxury and Dreams turn to Reality?

Not compliance for sure, but a wild and deadly hunt for the next Game-Changer.

Now, Is that 'Good' that good or the 'Bad' that bad?

No, I am not talking of a version of 'Disobedience' to jump the signal, beat up a neighbour or sell drugs, nothing that gets anyone to the wrong side of health, relationship or law.

But here is a term called 'Constructive Disobedience'. That which makes you as good as a responsible citizen and as bad as being able to see through the present and introduce the future.

So next time, before you stop, take a moment and step back....

Play with your child in the rain while ensuring his strong immune system, break open the rusted lock in the dark attic, while protecting her and get messy with her to teach how to come out of it.

Allow her to pull, knock, break, crash, kick and not give up until the universe answers...!!
