I want the Deadpool movie to have absolutely no regard for the fourth wall.

I want Wade to do something and be like, “damn, that’ll look amazing on the big screen”.

I want him to laugh at people watching in 3D when he whips his katanas out abruptly and they undoubtedly flinch.

I want him to be in the middle of an intense scene and then ask someone to step an inch to the left and when they exasperatedly ask why I want him to look right down the camera and say “so you don’t ruin my dramatic close up”.

I want him to reference his own comic books.  Even just have them laying around wherever he’s calling home.

I want him to make fun of Marvel.

I want movie Wade to have as little regard for the fourth wall as comic book Wade.

for real though, internet english is STAGGERINGLY multi-modal. the problem with communicating via writing is that you lose certain dimensions of spoken conversation, like intonation, facial expression, body language, pauses and fillers etc, but there’s been so many linguistic innovations to maintain richness in communication, like

emojis/emoticons

use of capslock and purposefully creating/not fixing typos to convey excitement, or likewise not capitalizing anything

use of punctuation (or lack thereof) to indicate /emphasis/ or ~irony~ or apathy

reaction images and memes

use of familiar songs in tumblr text posts or vines etc

variational spellings like you/u or true/tru

bolding, italics, strikethrough, font size, line breaks, etc

(using parentheses to whisper)

tags as commentary, also the body of commonly used/commonly mocked hashtags

like i could go ON and ON about the things that internet language users have created to get around the difficulties of non-verbal communication, like ??? what other dialects can do all that and change that much in 30 years????

this man is named Ian Dickinson. he lives in Vancouver WA and he is 24 years old. when I was 16 and he was 19, he and an accomplice (who I will not out for personal reasons) assaulted me in his bed while I cried and begged them to stop. when I told him afterwards that what he had done wasn’t ok, he told me I shouldn’t have worn the skirt I had on and I deserved it, and then he laughed. we were both sober.

he’s studying Engineering at Clark Community College in Vancouver. stay away from him.

I almost failed math three times in junior high / high school

I never passed any AP exams

My SAT scores were mediocre

I was four different majors in college and still didn’t figure out what I wanted to do until I was about 26

Currently:

I have a Masters and am working on a second

I have a job I like in a field I love 

I am conversational in Japanese

I am aiming to save all the homeless queer youths in NYC

In short:

It is okay if you don’t know what you want to do right now

You will figure it out

Sometimes a random job will lead to a career

Sometimes you will only work jobs and never have a career– THAT IS FINE

In the long run, no one cares about your GPA

A good resume is important!!

You will be okay, I promise

i just got a call from the government loan agency saying that i owe outstanding balances and that im going to be taken to court and to jail if i dont pay up and then i called them back frantic bc i dont want to go to jail + my grace period of 6 months after my education is finished isnt done yet and they were like you better give us your attorney’s number otherwise we’ll repo your house and then i was like …..?

i dont even live in a house and it was just the fishiest thing and they were like “do you know how much you owe us” and i lied and i told them $10000 (i owe almost $20k but i have a payment plan so they shouldve been able to check it if they were legit) and the guy was like “YES OUR RECORDS INDICATE YOU OWE US $10000″ and i knew it was a damn scam so i told them to send me a letter to my “house” explaining everything and they were like “tell us your address and we will” and i started laughing and told them they should have my address if they were the government agency and THEN here’s where it gets good…. he had the AUDACITY to tell me to wire $500 to him so this “case could be resolved and deleted”

he expected me to believe that me paying $500 was enough to completely ignore the $10k i owed him so i hung up

So anyways…. if you live in Canada and get a call like that, the CRA says on their site they will never threaten you with jail ever so dont get hoodwinked or bamboozled sweaties(:
