Entry #024
It has been exactly one month (give or take) since my last post. Many things have happened, but due to the nature of said events, I cannot freely speak about them.
The Boss has been keeping me ridiculously busy and after this, I have to make preparations to go over to Japan. The details of this trip have yet to be determined, but hopefully I'll be back in a jiffy.
I wonder if anyone still reads this? Hmm.

Entry #023
I cannot remember the last time I blogged. In fact I only came back because Doctor Banner contacted me and I realised I hadn't made some time for myself.
The Boss has been running me into the ground with paperwork from the recent fiasco with Loki across several borders and the current issue of having lost Captain Rogers. At the same time he has issued me orders to find Stark and get him back to United States soil for undisclosed purposes.
I'm so tired. So very tired. But things have to be done.
I hope the others are doing well.

Entry #022
Barton and I are still situated in "Apartment Asgard". Thor, it seems, has burst through the side of the building and flown off. Most likely to the new residence of one Jane Foster. I will have to make a call to her when it is more convenient.
Loki has somehow made a miraculously speedy recovery from the arrow and offered to make dinner for myself and Barton. Given our prior experiences with him, this was something we did not swallow easily. I had Natasha on the phone in minutes and requested her immediate presence in the apartment. A few minutes with Loki would be enough for her to assess if this was genuine or if there was an underlying plot.
I excused myself when she arrived to examine the damage from outside the building. Thor didn't make a big mess when he left, though the obvious gape in the wall would need to be sealed up. Not a very big job, all things considered.
This is when I received the call.
Barton asked me to pick up some ice cream before heading back to the apartment. This puzzled me to an extent, but I grabbed some from a nearby store anyway. I returned to find Natasha and Clint at the table with Loki, who had cooked rosti and provided cookies and pop tarts despite food supplies having been cleared out due to Protocol: "Home Schooled".
My initial thoughts were not to be drawn into this, but Natasha assured me that he was legitimately telling the truth and I found myself having Loki's cooking for dinner. I was still wary, but I trust Natasha's instinct.
The meal was satisfying and Loki made a humble request for the return of his pets. I suppose it wouldn't do that much harm for that, since they were relocated when he disappeared.
It would be the right thing to do. "An enemy is only so in war, in peace, we make amends". I'm sure that would be what Captain Rogers would say.
- Phil
UPDATE: It is with much horror that I realise Captain Rogers never returned with us from Operation: Red Point. In fact, he disappeared halfway through the op. I am increasingly worried for him, even though I know full well he is capable of handling himself. I will be putting in a request for a Quintjet to take me back there as soon as possible.

Entry #021
Despite the capture, sort of, and successful test run of KLI-8434; Loki assumed there were snipers keeping him inside the house when there were none, things have been less than satisfactory as of late.
The operation, I must regrettably admit, was a failure. Having exhausted manpower and time with the only saving grace being a failsafe input into the Asgardians' residence back home. Director Fury was furious at this, though Agent Hill has managed to calm him down a ways.
Thor refused to sit still the entire flight back to American soil and Barton was sporting an incredibly uncouth mouth due to the results of the op. Doctor Banner and Natasha joined us on the return trip, despite me releasing all involved personnel from work for a few days. I felt it was only right since their time and effort had been wasted in a sense.
The doctor was incredibly silent for the majority of the trip, with Natasha occasionally making conversation with him. I do not know exactly what they were talking about, though I did hear the word "ballet" from time to time.
This is where things fell apart.
Upon arrival to "Apartment Asgard" and the reset of KLI-8434, Barton proceeded to fire an arrow into Loki's knee. Thor did not take too kindly to this and has been threatening Clint since. Loki, meanwhile, has been restrained and treated for the injury, to be released only when deemed physically well.
Thor has, at the moment, retreated to his room where it sounds as if he may be attempting to break the side of the building. Barton has taken up the space on their couch, refusing to leave and I am posting off the laptop in their kitchen. Doctor Banner and Agent Romanoff have since left since they know better than to stick around.
I should attempt to handle the situation in some way.

I've got Thor, Coulson. Bringing him in now. One more to go.
Belay that order, Barton. I'm calling off the Op. We have Loki. Debrief the men and dismiss them. Maybe give them a week or two off. After this fiasco, they deserve it. Inform Thor I'll be waiting for him at the airstrip at sunrise. We're going to have a talk with that brother of his.

Entry #020
Loki has made his first major slip up in weeks; using the Stark Industries Intellectual Phone prototype (or SIP) we had provided upon the Asgardians return to Earth. Apparently he had gone for a screening of a movie and attempted to blog about it with all spoilers intact. This in turn, has revealed to us the location of one Tony Stark. It is a somewhat fascinating, though short story, if I do say so myself.
Loki published the blog and Stark got a ping as he had input a code to alert him of any new publications off Stark Industries devices regarding the movie. He lost it when the spoilers hit him and applied a new filter that deletes all written info about the film if it was published off a SIP or other related device. This of course, gave us the chance to pinpoint the locations of both of them respectively.
Stark's too far out of the country for us to expect support any time soon, but Loki is incredibly close by.
Things are going better than expected now.

Entry #019
Back on my feet. Well, mostly anyways. I have yet to assume command of the Op from Barton, though I'll likely let him handle it for a few more days while I try to contact Director Fury and sort out where we go from here. Despite the island being small, Loki has still eluded us and of course, we've had to do things discreetly as we do not want an international incident to occur.
While Thor did wander into a local event known as Cosfest recently and caused some minor disturbances, the majority of the population just mistook him for another cosplayer. Thankfully I do not have to clear up for that, except the one person who had the unfortunate luck to be held down by Mjolnir. SHIELD has already made the necessary arrangements in exchange for their secrecy about the true identity of the "Man with a Hammer". We already have Thor on the grid and will most likely be making contact within the day.
We have also made contact with Doctor Banner at the school we'd tracked him to; he had no recollection of how he got there and since he has no easy travel out having "jumped" borders, has joined us on our sweep of the city.  Of course, he requested that he travel via public transit, despite his complaints about commuting, and we allowed that, though we do have an escort of 4 following him from a safe distance if anything should occur.
We should be bringing this to a close soon. We've been here too long. Far too long.

Heeeeey Phil I'm booooooreddddd.
I'm sorry, Barton. I've been.. compromised. The weather here does not agree with me and I fear I may have come down with something. The operation must continue. I'm putting you in charge. Do what needs to be done. Complete the objective. Good luck, and Godspeed. - Phil

Entry #018
SHIELD has returned to full capacity. The team flew in from Russia and have since been sweeping the city for Loki. Our trackers have also pinpointed the location of Thor and we are doing a simultaneous search for him as well.
It seems he is also in Singapore with us, and via his blog, knows that Loki is here and is actively searching for him as well. Doctor Banner has also been located, currently residing in a polytechnic campus which, coincidentally, is also on this island. I believe he has his reasons for not wanting to be disturbed and well, we wouldn't want the Big Guy to cause an incident, do we?
Stark has yet to show up on any of our scanners, though he isn't a priority now.
We need to find the Asgardians. Fast. And the rain isn't helping.

'sup Phil?
Hello Barton.
I'm glad you've managed to establish contact. SHIELD systems must have gotten back online while I was en route. You must have gotten intel by now that Loki has indeed travelled out of Russia and into Singapore. I am currently on site with a small platoon doing a sweep of the city. It is imperative that manpower on your end acquire transport and you mobilize as soon as possible.

Entry #017
SHIELD went dark. All systems and communications went down slightly before Operation: Red Point could officially commence. This occurred just before a technical officer almost managed to reboot the system to trace Stark. No doubt he left an additional piece of code in case we managed to bypass his hack. I'd call Pepper, but other matters take precedent.
Due to the blackout we've lost contact with Agents Natasha and Barton as well as Captain Rogers and all the men out in the field. Doctor Banner ignored my invitation to relocate to Avengers Tower and has evacuated his lab for elsewhere. With the system down, we can't track him either. Thor, it seems, has fled the Tower without authorization.
I find myself traveling to Singapore personally with a small platoon to try and handle the situation while HQ gets back on its feet and establishes contact with the others.
Hopefully, things won't get any more out of hand than they already are.

Entry #016
Operation: Snowbound has yielded little results. Loki, it seems, has fled elsewhere. Given the lack of any high profile deaths and scenes of destruction, he is playing it smart and traveling incognito. SHIELD's best analysts and trackers are at work trying to locate where he may be.
Thor's requests to join the team looking for his brother has yet again been denied. While I understand why he wishes to join the search, he is far too emotionally compromised. We don't need him worried or hurt more than he already is. I just hope he doesn't go off looking for Loki on his own.
- Phil
[UPDATE: SHIELD systems have pinpointed Loki on the island city of Singapore. The teams are being reassigned and mobilized. Operation: Red Point is a go. I'm not particularly fond of missions like these in urban areas.... too many people.]
