I agree that more people need to focus on his daughter in this myth here, but these two things can exist in the same place. He's a good man because, despite the beliefs of his literal family, he defended his daughter to the end. And I'd love to see more takes with Alcippe and the struggles she has to go through and the way she grows past it. I'm tired of victims' abuse being glorified for the angst. I want to see how they GROW from this. Idk if this makes sense, man. I just have a lot of big feelings about Greek myths and the way they're handled, especially after certain series that handled similar topics in popular media today >_>

My biggest fear about more people learning about Ares and his myths is that when more people learn about the Alcippe myth, people will start writing about how much of a good guy he is rather than focus on Alcippe and what she went through, and the misrepresentation of SA that I often see in media.

Once again, no I haven’t abandoned Secret Alliance au, I just have to rework a lot of the things I wanted to write in the second half of the story so I’m taking the time to really fluff and pretty it up! I do plan on having a new chapter up as fast as I can but I want it to be the same quality if not better than the previous chapters, so enjoy this for now! I have plenty of other Jonesdation aus brewing for my claim of the CEO of Jonesdation title but, I digress. I hope you all enjoy my gay enemies to lovers shenanigans. 

Also, while I’m inviting other creatives to take a crack at the aus I make, I will also be writing my own version of the aus as well! I’d love to see a bunch of different fantasy aus based off of this one starter and see how different we all interpret it. Maybe I’m being silly and hopeful that people will be comfortable enough to do something like this but I think it’d be really fun to see! Hahah
