gentle reminder you can rise up from everything. you can recreate yourself. nothing is permanent. you are not stuck. you have choices. you can think new thoughts. you can learn something new. you can create new habits. all that matters is that you decide today and never look back.

Please don’t take your pets for granted. Even if you’re frustrated that your dog has been barking all day or your bird has been screaming for attention, remember you are all they have in this world. Give your fish that extra water change. Give your dog or cat that tummy rub they’ve been begging for. Chop up some fresh fruit as a treat for your rodents or reptiles. Just spend some time with them. Be compassionate to your animals. They are living creatures that are alive simply because you wish them to be. They may only be a small part in your life, but to them, you are their everything.

A Witch’s Full Moon Traditions
I just sent off my third lesson for Movements of the Moon (and it’s a Full Moon tonight), and felt quite pleased with how my brief rundown of common lunar traditions came out - so here it is!
Across many practices, the Full Moon is the most important lunar date of the month. It signifies a time of maximum power and magic, and many traditions choose to commemorate, celebrate, or use the day in their Craft. Some basic Full Moon traditions include:
Rituals: Many Witch cultures have some form of a Full Moon honoring ritual. For instance, in Wicca, we have the Esbat: a ritual that celebrates the Moon, the turning of its faces, and the Goddess and the God (in this case, particularly the Goddess). There are many other Full Moon honor rituals for secular witches without the deities, or for Witches of other religions (such as my Hellenic self), you can invoke or call on your own powers and deity(s) as to your personal beliefs. The particular word “Esbat” has also evolved to mean rituals of commemoration and thanks undertaken on the New Moon and Dark Moon as well, per practice. There are many scripts for the Full Moon Esbat, though most should be variations on the same rubric.
Drawing Down the Moon: Though sometimes performed as part of an Esbat or Full Moon Ritual, drawing down the Moon is an energy exercise where you connect with the Moon’s energy by calling it into you. This is done by going outside, grounding and centering, and then “breathing in”the Moon by feeling it rush into you and filling you with its light. When done, the energy can be released, used, or dissipated.
Offerings: Many Pagan Witches find it optimal to use the Full Moon to connect with their deity or pantheon, and use it as a regular, ideal time to connect, commune, and thank their deities.
Meditations: Many secular and nature-based Witches find it lovely to just sit outside, enjoy the moonlight, and spend time meditating. Sometimes, an offering of thanks is left to the moon, such as a small coin or stone.
Spellwork: This is the obvious one! The Full Moon is a time of maximum spellpower, and, indeed, certain spells are best cast (and, some may stubbornly argue, only can be cast) on a Full Moon. As a general rule, the Full Moon both indicates the heady powers at hand, but also “flavors” and affects your spell, depending on the Moon and the time of year. A common piece of craft to do on a Full Moon is to create Sacred Water, or Moon Water (every Witch seems to have a different name for this!). Simply put, one draws power from the moon and imbues a vessel of water with it, to charge and keep for later work. There are hundreds of variations on this technique!
These are just a couple examples. There’s a myriad of activity to be had on the Full Moon - I hope you can see more than a couple jumping off points from here!

Dracula Inspired Spells
Children of the Night Protection Spell
Tumblr media
“Listen to them, the children of the night. What music they make!”
This is an alternative circle casting spell to gain protection by animals associated with the vampire. The effects of this spell should make you feel safe and empowered by the night, rather than fearing it.
Ingredients:
Four black candles.
Pine incense.
Moonlight.
Method:
At night, preferably when the moon is full, find a place to lay out your candles and bask in the moonlight.
Burn the Pine incense to cleanse the space around you and call upon the energies of the forest.
Arrange the candles around you in a circle, each facing one of four directions, these being the correspondences: Earth (North) - Wolf Air (East) - Bat Fire (South) - Dragon Water (West) - Cat
Visualise each corresponding animal sitting behind each candle, with their eyes closed.
Begin lighting the first candle in the North, and the final candle in the West.
As you do so, call in the Elements and welcome them to your circle; as you call upon the Element see the animal’s eyes open and gleam in the moonlight.
When all the candles are lit, see a pillar of silver light enter the middle and form a protective circle around you, emanating in the moon’s glow.
Sit or stand for a minute to bask in the protective and grounding energies of this circle; if anything dares approach you without your permission the animals will ward them off.
You may now wish to meditate or perform other spell work.
When you are done, begin to close the circle and thank each Element for being present.
See Me Now Glamour Spell
Tumblr media
This is a spell to make your eyes more captivating, allowing you to draw in the gaze of your desired target(s).
Ingredients:
A bowl.
Moon Water.
Rose petals.
Rhodochrosite.
Moonstone.
Rose Quartz.
Silver glitter (body safe).
Mirror.
Method:
Take a bowl and fill it with your Moon Water.
Place about a handful of rose petals into the bowl, visualising a soft pink glow form at the surface, slowly sinking deeper into the waters.
Take the Rhodochrosite crystal, kiss it, and gently place it at the bottom as you allow yourself to feel a warm glow wrap around your heart; visualise this same feeling of warmth rising in the hearts of your target(s).
Take the Moonstone crystal, kiss it, and place it into the water to allow this to empower the energies of the Moon Water, as well as aiding in establishing a psychic link to the eyes of your target(s).
Take the Rose Quartz crystal, kiss it, and place it into the water, visualising yourself becoming irresistible to look at.
Take a pinch of the silver glitter and place it into the water, locking your glamour.
Stir the water clockwise three times.
Gently dab some of the water onto your eyes using your finger; you can also dab some of the water onto any eye accessories you wear (such as glasses) or eye makeup brushes.
Look into the mirror and visualise your eyes glow with a soft, silvery pink light.
When you next see your target(s), whisper to yourself: “See me. See me now.”
If they make eye contact, hold it just long enough to look at them as if you are in love - this will cause their attention to be immediately attracted to you due to the effects of the glamour.
Oceans of Time Love Spell
Tumblr media
“Love never dies.”
This is a spell that calls forth your Twin Flame; a lover who has been with you through centuries of time.
Ingredients:
A Pink candle.
Lilac incense.
Geranium oil (diluted).
Rose Quartz.
Pink Tourmaline.
Labradorite.
Method:
Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
Burn the Lilac incense as an aid to recall past lives.
Take the crystals in your hand and gently wave them over the incense smoke.
Anoint your forehead and heart with the Geranium oil, to allow the energies of love to flow.
Light the pink candle (on a fire proof dish or stand) and then hold the crystals close to your heart.
Close your eyes and visualise a deep flowing river, catching gleams of moonlight on its crystal clear waters.
Travel down that river, recessing back in time whilst visualising your Twin Flame drawing closer to you.
As you draw closer, tap into their energy and allow your heart to receive their love and exchange yours.
As you keep travelling down this river, you may see flashes of memories, scents, whispers or even emotions - allow these to come to you.
Once you feel that they can hear you, gently speak: “I have crossed oceans of time to find you.”
Begin to let the river flow through the both of you, and then slowly open your eyes - blow out the candle and put down your crystals.
Perform this spell for three days, once per day; if you wish to perform it again wait at least one month.
Hypnotic Kiss Seduction Spell
Tumblr media
“I could not resist the temptation of mystifying him a bit, I suppose it is some taste of the original apple that remains still in our mouths.”
A spell to steal a person’s heart and bewitch them through a kiss.
Ingredients:
A small bowl.
Storm Water.
Crushed cherries.
A pinch of cinnamon.
Red lipstick, preferably dark.
Method:
Take the small bowl and fill it with crushed cherries, and crush them further so their juices come out more; see a dark sultry energy form at the base of the bowl.
Add a pinch of cinnamon to ignite passion.
Add a few drops of Storm Water and stir it clockwise three times while seeing the mixture gain power with each stir.
In front of a mirror, dab your finger onto the mixture and gently pat some of it onto your lips whilst seeing your lips hold the same hypnotic power of a storm.
Go over your lips with lipstick and as you pucker them you seal this energy into your lips, mesmerising your words and enchanting your kisses.
