With fires burning (again) in California it feels like a good time to remind people that:

1. Many of the firefighters risking their lives to save others and others’ homes are prisoners earning pennies a day. Upon release they will be disqualified from perusing firefighting as a career despite already having training and field experience due to their record.

2. Much of the land that burns every year is managed by the federal government.

sam_fender Absolutely buzzing for this, getting the band and crew back together for probably our only gig of the year. Apparently this is the first socially distanced show of its kind and it's amazing to see the north east leading the way, it's huge for the area. There's a few hundred platforms with 5 people on each.
