Dear King Arthur and Sir Lancelot, I have a question for you both! What has become of the royal wizard, Merlina? I don't recall either of you talking much about her, so I was curious as to what has become of her?

Arthur: Uh- it's funny you should mention that. We tried to get her to open a portal back home. And it... sorta went really wrong... she. Couldn't make it.

Lance: We tried everything. The only person who could save her, was her. She exhausted herself too much. Arthur and I are too weary to try it again.

Arthur: It was years ago. I was still young... an idiot. A desperate idiot. I made a mistake. It shook the kingdom, I still live with the consequences today.

Lance: She's looking over you now. Grief doesn't ever leave you, but you shouldn't let it consume you. Would the people we have lost be proud of who we are, or who we are becoming if we let that feeling take over?

*Lancelot presses his forehead to Arthur's, cradling his face in her hands.*

Arthur: Geez- you're getting a little too good at this "old and wise" thing.

Lance: Talk to the grey quills. It's the source of my power.

Arthur, are you religious at all?

Arthur: I wouldn't say I'm super religious-? I mean like. Light and Dark Gaia are both definitely real and played a role in the culture here. But I wouldn't say I take the whole religion around it super seriously. I follow some things but I'm pretty loose with it.

Lancelot is a little more serious about it, and honestly I respect her for that. Sometimes they take time off to do his thing. I think that's the case for most of the people here. I think my experience with modernity and how it's treated then plays a role in my views. I will admit being here made me a little more- invested in it? It came with time. It means a lot to some people here, so they can have it and enjoy it in their own way while I do the same for myself. I don't judge.

There's a few different religions surrounding it, but it's all in worship of the same forces. I'm a bit of a mix of a bunch. I can't exactly put a label on it.

Arthur: If anyone would, it's her. He taught, Galahad, Percival and even Gawain. He helped me with some skills at some point.

Lance: Did I hear something about sword training??

Arthur: Yep, you have a new squire.

*As Arthur steps out of his room there's a servant waiting for them* "My lord, Lady Percival is in the waiting room. She would like to speak to you. And..."

*The servant looks around and he pulls a wrapped package*

"While you haven't changed things publicly... My new husband and I still wish to say thank you..."

*The servant bows and he hurries off, the two wooden bracelets with the king's and his knight's insignias on them left in Arthur's hands*

Arthur: Wait-! Shit. It was that one servant, I just wanted to say thanks...

Lance: Are you alright M'Lord?

Arthur: Yeah- someone just gave us something.

*He shows the bracelets to Lancelot.*

Lance: Gaia, they are beautiful.

*Arthur hands Lancelot a bracelet, she puts it on. He gestures for Arthur to give them the other one, sliding it onto Arthur's wrist and tucking it under the wrist of the glove. Much like the ring Arthur has under there, both now unable to snag on anything.*

Arthur: Thanks..

Lance: You've made great changes to this place, Arthur. This is just proof.

*Arthur buries his face into Lancelot's chest.*

Lance: Taking advantage of this, I see.

Arthur: Nuh uh. Shut up. Thanks though... I'm just... happy my work is making some difference. Making it easier for others to have what we can't.

Lance: You're a saint Arthur. You've never stopped fighting, and look at the progress you made. It's impacted the people where it matters. You did that.

Your Majesty, I just wanted you to be aware that not all of your subjects think the way you believe us to. I want to reassure you that there are many of us who support your relationship with Lancelot! I find you inspirational. Here are some flowers from a loyal subject. 💐

I'm probably not the best person for that- Lance is a bit more noble and a better inspiration than I am in all honesty. I'm messy and brash in the way I do things, she's the one pulling my head in. Seriously all credit to my wife.

And- thanks for the flowers. You wouldn't mind if I took these to Lance to plant in the garden, right? I'm not good at keeping plants, at least out there I'll see them a lot and know that they'll get taken care of. They smell amazing. Thank you, again. Your support means more than you think.

Lance: ...I'm sure one day. But- to answer your question. No. I have not. The only other people I have met were "Sonic" and "Shadow". And that Shadow wasn't Arthur's Shadow, so I haven't met any of them. He talks of them in high regard. I believe I would like them. Probably.

*Arthur rests his head on Lancelot's chest.*
