I realized I never posted the pictures from my release party! It was so much fun. I wasn’t sure anyone would come, and no one from my building ended up coming, but my friends surprised me!
I’ve been feeling pretty low lately. Graduating and moving away from all your college friends really, really sucks. I have friends in KC, but we’re not super close. My roommate ended up being gone the day of release, and I was really sad because I thought I’d be alone. But I wanted to celebrate anyway and I decorated my apartment with all things Lover-themed (which wasn’t hard bc my room decor is already the Lover aesthetic. Thanks, Tay, for matching your era to me 😉). I spent forever on these cookies and just decided to celebrate something I loved and was excited for, even if I celebrated alone. I honestly didn’t think anyone was gonna come, and I was pretty sad, but I LOVE decorating and being extra so I was excited anyway.
And then my friends texted me that they were on their way, dressed in pastels and bringing sparkling grape juice. Only one of them is a big Taylor fan like me, but they all wanted to come to support my love for Taylor and excitement for the new album. I felt very loved and we ADORED Lover. Also one of the girls I’d never met before but was my friend’s roommate. So thanks to Taylor I felt really loved by my friends AND made new friends! 🦋🌸

So, I keep thinking about everything this Place and the rooms inside of it represent:
And I noticed that the shutters on the left are Blue and the ones on the right are RED.
On the Blue Side of the house we have this side of the relationship:
The rooms where they are happy together. Rooms where they delight in the comforts and easy parts of being together. Whether they are playing games, swimming around together or lounging around playing music.
On the Red side, we see the other side of their relationship:
Fights in their bedroom, a questioning on if someone else is going to take the relationship away, Taylor writing songs at 2am on her piano.
Both of these sides are valid and important sides to the range of emotions that make up Love.
Love isnt rainbows, its confronting the hard parts of a person and still choosing to love eachother.
The only room in the middle of the home is the attic.
Where Taylor steps into the daylight and climbs up the stairs to let it go:
And in the end, he chooses to go up to meet her and accept both sides of the relationship, because that's how Love works. We choose to stick around for the fight.

Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift this really cool thing how she was born on December 13th and it’s her lucky number.. and I was born on November 16th and it’s my lucky number.. and that we are those cool ‘89 chicks, too.
Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift that the first song I ever heard of hers was “Teardrops on my Guitar” and how it hit home for me because I was in love with this boy who was also my best friend.. and who was dating my other best friend.
Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift that she inspired me to play guitar and everyday when I came home from school I would sit on my bedroom floor and teach myself chord after chord to the first songs I ever learned.. and they all were hers. Those songs included “Teardrops on my Guitar” and “Fearless”. ♥️
Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift how I had my friend handcraft a purse for her that we gave to the security guard at the Speak Now tour.. and I hope it got to her.
Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift how much of a cat lady I am as well.. and hope to giggle and talk it up about her itty bitty kitty committee.
Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift how my first love cheated on me.. and how “White Horse” got me through my hardest moments.
Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift about how much I appreciate that “Begin Again” is track 16 on Red (because it’s perfectly lucky) and how I watched it begin again.. when I met this new boy on a Wednesday night in a cafe (I swear, this literally happened).. and so that song means so much to be when I think back on that relationship.
Someday: I want to tell @taylorswift how I, too, am my momma’s best friend and how deeply she and her mother are on my heart.. and that I appreciate her for being raw and real.. and opening her heart & world to us.
Someday: I want to hug @taylorswift and thank her for being there in the hardest and happiest moments of my life. Thank her for giving courage to the shyest of girls and helping her believe that she can do anything. Thank you for helping that girl become
