Behold my beloved son Marcellus. Pattern doesn’t appear to be available on Etsy anymore, but it was super quick except for the suckers which took forever. Might make him a sibling without suckers at some point

BEHOLD MY BEAUTIFUL CREATION!! it took two and a half months and approximately 1200 yards of knitpicks bare gloss lace weight yarn! The pattern is Queen Anne’s Lace by MMario designs on Ravelry! Photo bomb by the most stubborn cat in earth who decided she was going to lay on it regardless of my opinion on the matter.

I just discovered this pattern... and I need to make it.
It's an insane amount of intarsia. I hate knitting intarsia.
It's cotton. I do not enjoy knitting with cotton.
Cotton intarsia specifically is EXTRA CURSED. Wool? Fuzzy, stretchy, forgiving. Cotton? No fuzz, no stretch, NO FORGIVE.
I have a horrible track record when it comes to weaving in ends. Will procrastinate it for literal years. Authors note on the pattern:
Further notes:
Somehow this has not talked me out of wanting to knit this. Also, pattern author may be my new favorite knitter.

16 frame shooting star animation. January 2022-September 2024 Needlepoint
Frames from my shooting star gif. 16 frames total. Each frame is 8x6.5 inches on a 10” mesh. Designed and animated in photoshop and needlepointed by me. I started drafting this 1/14/22 and finished animating it 9/25/24. It took approximately two years and eight months to finish. This is one of the largest projects I’ve ever worked on and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

I've been trying to distract myself from the horrors of modern life by knitting unnecessarily complex cable swatches. They are partly inspired by printer's ornaments and other typographic elements.

i dropped by my favourite secondhand bookstore and found what is possibly the most incredible knitting book iver ever seen. that teaches you how to knit little gardens and sew them into a massive quilt 3d. the photos i took are atrocious and do NOT do this book justice
thats a PRIORY GARDEN WITH MONKS
IT EVEN TEACHES YOU HOW TO MAKE ALL THE TOOLS ABD BASKETS AND POTS AND PLANTS
LOOK AT THE SOME OF THE FOLIAGE
i have never been more upset to not have $30 ready to buy this. its incredible. i have to find it online somewhere. i knew the moment i saw this i had to share it with EVERYONE

i seriously need to upgrade from my cheap acrylic interchangeables that literally pop off the connector while i am knitting so i have a very important question for knitblr
my current ones are knit pro/knitters pride trendz and i think you can already tell how i feel about them. the two listed are the two i have been considering most heavily. my main drawback on the chiaogoo is the price but i have heard amazing things on facebook so i want yalls opinions here

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping
