Shoutout to boringcore queers. Shoutout to queers who just want to wear comfortable clothes that aren't particularly interesting or attention grabbing. Shoutout to queers who don't think about clothes as this huge canvas of exploration and just want to wear shorts and a t-shirt. So much of queer culture, especially in spaces like tumblr, puts an emphasis on clothing as Evidence And Expression Of Queerness and it has got to be so alienating to be a person who just wants to wear regular clothes constantly getting that preference associated with "the boring cishets (who are losers)". Your queerness is not stored in your wardrobe and you're still cool and interesting even if you don't want your clothes to be.

If sexual activity between same-gender people became illegal, the police would be the ones enforcing those laws.
That's why police are not welcome at Pride. Pride is for unconditional supporters, not for those who would become enemies as soon as they're ordered to.

By the way with the supreme court reopening Lawrence and considering making anything other than cishet vanilla sex illegal, the "kink at pride" debate needs to die, right fucking now. We're about to see firsthand why kink and queer rights are so closely tied together and what we need is to stand in unity. This also means queer discourse needs to die, right now.
Listen, everyone. You have pride because of leather daddies and Trans Women of Color. You have pride because of the same people you're ashamed to accept into the community.
We're all about to become targets, and we can't win separated. And we especially need to protect our most vulnerable, we need to protect the members of our community that will get targeted the most.
Discourse needs to end. The United States' fascism and hate is getting worse, and anyone that knows their world history knows things might get really bad here soon, and it's more important than ever that we can stand together. If we get caught up on labels or "is this person really LGBT" or anything like that, the people that hate us all for existing will divide and conquer and we will all lose.

what really gets me about the argument that “americans are so selfish they can’t even care about others enough to stop the virus” is that we fucking did. the vast majority of americans, at great personal and financial cost to ourselves, went inside and distanced and took precautions and isolated and changed our lives to slow the spread and keep our loved ones and strangers safe. we did that for months, even when the government offered piss poor assistance and unemployment skyrocketed and food bank lines lengthened and the death counts climbed and parents with young children reached a breaking point, we still did it. the polling still shows that the vast majority of americans are more worried about easing restrictions too soon even if it hurts the economy. americans give a shit. we care. we made the sacrifices to give our government the time to figure out and implement a plan — to find a way to keep us safe and as healthy as possible and to use the power of the federal government to protect small businesses and feed our children and put a roof over our heads and create education campaigns to get people to socially distance and wear a mask for fucks sake. we did that, and at the end of months of sacrifice they decided that it wasn’t worth the trouble and have left us at the whims of our governors and local officials, left us at the mercy of our employers, left us to die.
americans aren’t selfish — our minority-rule government is — and it’s left us to die.

“She-Hulk isn’t Black.“
Yes I can. And yes she is. Who we are isnt a limitation. It is our strength. And we’re stronger than you. Cosplay is for everyone. Period.
