For children stuck inside for remote or hybrid learning, it's been a long, boring winter. Yoel Silber, CEO of The Amazing Bees, hopes to make environmental education a whole lot more fun with the release of the company's new children's book, "The Amazing Bees."
The Amazing Bees" tells the story of Princess Debbee, a young bee who ends up on the adventure of a lifetime. The protagonist is a regular girl who loves music, dance, and friends. One day she receives word that nearby humans are making terrible choices that could endanger her whole hive. With a personality equal parts honey and sting, Debbee sets out to save her community with a group of lovable characters.

In writing this book, we set out to put some memorable faces on the small, helpless creatures that humans often overlook. Pollinators are so important in our environment, and there just wasn't anything out there that aimed to educate kids about them in an entertaining way," Silber says. "By telling this story with kid-friendly language, characters and artwork, we're helping to raise a new generation that cares about the health of the whole ecosystem.
The Amazing Bees" is aimed at children ages 5-12 years old. At 125 pages, the book makes an ideal read-aloud for the whole family. "It's not just a picture book with one sentence per page. There's real substance here, because we know parents are looking for truly high-quality content," says Silber. "The Amazing Bees" is published by Gatekeeper Press. The book is available in three formats: hardcover for $29.99, paperback for $24.99 and e-book for $9.99.
The book is the latest offering from The Amazing Bees, creator of The Amazing Bees: A Children's Theatrical Experience. This live stage show debuted in 2018 in Boca Raton to rave reviews. The company is looking forward to touring again as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, "The Amazing Bees" should satisfy fans and newcomers alike.
