Today, it sank through my mind what your dad told me. He can't marry someone like me; it hurts Anak. Hindi ko rin maintindihan ang sarili ko nak, at the beginning of me & dad's relationship; ako yung may ayaw magpakasal. I was 21 when I had you, so I had some reservations and I don't want to marry just because I got pregnant. For me, I want someone to marry me because that person loves me for who I am.
Yesterday, your dad told me he can't marry me, or rather, he can't see a future with me as his real wife, companion in life. I used not to correct you when you were younger pag sinasabi mo ang name ni mommy na "Althea Marie Vargas Castillo". From this day forward, I'll be correcting you anak. Sorry, if na-feel mo na hindi ko gusto magkapareho tayo ng name. Pag nabasa mo to, binata kana. Sana maintindihan mo si mommy. Sorry anak ko sa confusion at painful emotions whenever correct you.
Kaya ikaw, pag graduate mo ng college; gawin mo lahat ng gusto mong marating sa buhay. Yung pakikipag-engage sa relationship, wag mo gawing biro. I know it's normal to have some puppy love or first love. Pero if you can, maging Date-To-Marry kind of man ka. I-bawi mo ang mommy mo sa universe! Haha.

Everytime you say "I'm a big boy na, mommy", my automatic response is "No, di pa!". I guess, I'm sad and afraid to admit that once little baby I cradled to sleep is now growing up so fast.
Thank you for being the kindest, most thoughtful, very loving and smart kid that any parents can wish for. I didn't know what I did to deserve you but one thing is for sure; I have been praying to God that He gives me a man that will love me endlessly and will never leave my side, and there you are! He gave me a son where He thought I needed you the most ❤
