Ω PJO MISC. DEMIGOD HEADCANONS: 📚  CLIO: MUSE GODDESS OF HISTORY, LYRE PLAYING 🎶

a/n: Clio may not be the first Muse but I can respect the love of history so it was fun to write something with a power relating to history. What that is? You'll find out! Much like the child of Calliope, you are also a bard. However, unlike Calliope’s demigod, your specialty is lyre playing. Your fingers are more deft than them, and once you’ve played a song, you are able to remember how it goes. 

With the muses, they tend to have a lot of overlap which can lead to confusion to which of the Muses specialize in; case in point where Clio and Calliope are often mistaken or placed for one or the other, so both you and the child of Calliope resemble each other the most and people will confuse you two for each other, whether as twins, cousins, or fellow half-siblings. 

Unlike Calliope who sings and tells the deeds of heroes, being the demigod of the Muse of History, is different from Epics. Epics are basically telling the tales about a person, you don’t just know something about someone, you also know about everything about what was going around that time of when that person was in. 

Not only does History come more easily to you, you are able to memorize past incidents and actions. Although you’re not sure if this is a factor in your memorization, with the help of music helps you along; whether remembering the music you listened to at that moment to recall back to, or memorization things based on musical notes. 

You have the power of Retro-cognition; where you have visions of the past. This is basically the opposite of foresight where you see into the past and basically acts as a helpful reminder of things people may have missed. However, you know the words “Those who forget History are doomed to repeat it?” yeah that’s basically what you’re role is. You remind those of the past so they don’t repeat the same mistake, and often with people’s hubris, end up foretelling the future as such. 

You’re the least compatible with Aphrodite or her children due to the Adonis incident where Aphrodite was furious with Clio, who had chided the love goddess for loving Adonis, to which Aphrodite caused her to fall in love with Pierus, son of Magnes, who later bore Hycainthus. 

Hey at least you’re distantly related to Hycainthus! (though you have no idea why there’s that one kid who keeps giving you sad smiles. Meg tells you that he is reminded by someone)

You also have the slight power to peer into someone’s or something’s history. Which may deter some people but in times it is very useful. You’re often to the medical ward at camp to see how a camper got their injury and how it exactly happened. Otherwise, you are also called as a neutral party where you help settle arguments of who did what in a neutral way, before soothing everyone’s anger with your playing. 

Out of the Muses, you’re the expert in Lyre playing; your fingers easily plucking in the string backs and forth, with deft fingers; as you regale of times of what once was of times of good and bad. 

You’re also more adept in archery because of your lyre playing skills. Whether you have a taste for it or not, your experience and hardwork is shown in the calloused fingers familiar with string are an easy transition in archery.

What is your opinion on how Tom Holland looks in the new suit and what would be the opinion of Male Black Cat!Reader upon seeing it?

If my version of Male Black Cat!Reader was in the MCU canon, his memories of Peter would’ve been wiped too, right… along with the morals he basically developed from being close to Peter which would mean he’d probably still be the Black Cat AND probably even more commited to stealing than ever.

So beside being back to his criminal ways Black Cat would probably be THIRSTING for Spider-Man, not knowing that they’ve already fucked A LOT. He’d just be watching Spider-Man from a far and be like ”Wow… His ass looks perfect in that suit”

Imagine them meeting for the first time (again), Black Cat pouncing on top of Peter, flirting, then escaping as Peter tries to catch him and being like ”Some things never change”.

Headcanon: Hebe kids can be vengeful and stubborn as hell and are serious about ”please” as the magic word.

Let’s say a Hermes kid does something that pisses of a Hebe kid… Hebe kid’s response?

Cursing the Hermes kid to have the head of a baby and the refusing to change it back. The Hermes kids have to go to Chiron to make the Hebe kid change the Hermes kid back. Chiron asks them to but Hebe kid still refuses.

Eventually they have to ask Mr D for help and Mr D who’s related to Hebe knows exactly what to do: ”Hey [correct name], could you PLEASE change them back now?”.

Then ✨POOF✨ the Hermes kid is back to normal.

I can totally see this being a thing, either intentional or unintentionally since Hebe can rewind someone's age to a younger age at her pleasure, but that's because she's a god,

her demigod children can technically do this but being half-mortal, they're more bound to time and thus harder so perfect rejuvenation is complex and incredibly difficult, so it is unintentional/intentional.

It is a funny idea but man, it can go turn into horror very easily-

Do you have any headcanons for a child of Thetis? <3

a/n: Hi Altoduck! It's been a while!! Glad to see you again!! ♥️ Not exactly a typical headcanon, but I did mention Thetis and what if she had a demigod in the 🧝‍♀️MYSTERIOUS NYMPH(?) 🧝‍♂️ [PART1 | TUMBLR] \ [PART 2 | TUMBLR] \\ [AO3] where:

"People toss out the fact if you are a child of Nereid, there are only a few well known Nereids that are significant enough, the most likely to have a demigod would be Thetis given her history with Achilles, but Chiron is unsure; though he does admit he still remembers training Achilles himself and may be sentimental. Also the uncertainty was due to the fact, Thetis has a track record of trying to make her children as immortal as possible and was already very protective of Achilles, so if she had another, breathing demigod child, they can only imagine it would be more doubled-down if she was successful."

If Thetis did have a child, regardless if it was a demigod or another godling, after the circumstances with Achilles, Thetis would be very overprotective of her child to the point of suffocating and disables their independence. Which might lead to them being forced to attend camp by the other gods or they break out somehow to go to Camp to find some independence. I think the reason Achilles went out as he did because he was always prophesied to either fight and die in glory forever or live and die out in obscurity, so Thetis couldn't keep Achilles safe because it was his choice to make.

So a child of Thetis would be seen as an Achilles 2.0. by either or both their own mother and other people. Not sure if the child of Thetis would be dipped in the River Styx like their sibling, but it kept Achilles safe that log, so there's a likely chance the child of Thetis would have the same treatment. Maybe the child of Thetis would have additional 'protection' that would be seen as a blessing and curse because Thetis wants to keep her child safe, better than what she could do for Achilles.

There is a fun twist that the prophecy of Thetis could still applies where Thetis is fated to bear a 'son stronger/greater than his father' and you could apply that prophecy to the child of Thetis if they were born as Son of Thetis, or make it gender-neutral and still have it apply to any child of Thetis since Son and Father were used as a gender-neutral pronoun in old literature. - which if the child of Thetis is a Son, then oh boy, expect Thetis to keep mistaking them as 'Achilles' and living with imposter syndrome. Long story short: If there is another child of Thetis, it's pretty much Achilles 2.0. whether done to the bone or by sheer expectation of not only from their mother but everyone who knows of Achilles and Thetis. Most likely a demigod if you apply the prophecy of Thetis still being applicable but could be a godling if you want their story to be more angsty. Thetis is an overly-protective mother who is still haunted by the death of Achilles that is almost suffocating the child of Thetis, and it is their curse so to speak.

Oh yeah then it’d be a bit different 😅

Dick and Bruce are chill with it mainly cause they’re both basically also sex symbols already.

Jason, Tim and Damian are not chill AT ALL, because now everyone is telling them how hot their older/younger brother is, both in real life and online (which enough people already said about Dick) now their suffering has doubled.

Jason also becomes really protective in public being like ”What are you looking at? Keep moving”. Like to him you’re still his baby brother so if they want a chance with you they have to go through him first.

The bats reaction to reader doing a photoshoot/magazine cover basically naked/in a revealing swimsuit

Bruce: Dosen’t really do much at first, but you know he’s seen it, know he’s enjoyed it, and when he brings up saying ”I saw your magazine cover” he’d add some flirty playboy line like ”I hope you can show me some more your work in person some time”.

Dick: ”Wow, that sure is a small amount fabric covering you… I like it”.

Jason: *prints it out as a poster and hangs it on his wall*

Tim: Drooling… hacks the photographer to also get access to all the unused photos that didn’t make the final display.

Damian: *clutches pearls*, then has a little crisis while simultaneously staring at the pictures for 5 hours.

YUP! I used a pic of him in the mood board cause he had the vibe I wanted OC to give. + My original idea for this was actually a Billy x Farmer’s son fic which I started writing but I just never ended up finishing. But I still really liked the concept so I wrote this :)
