what i would add to Plok if it were to be sold digitally, to make it feel like more than just buying a ROM, without requiring access to the game's source code

all of these would be possible by creating a wrapper around bsnes-HD

-4:3 mode, expanding the game's camera and making things feel less cramped.

-"restored" soundtrack a la the DKC OST remakes floating around youtube. the game never mixes music and sound effects on the same channel, so if you can detect if a level is loaded, you should be able to just mute channels 1-5 and replace it with whatever you want

-"Pop Up Plok!" - have tips, trivia and anecdotes about the game appear at various points. Plok is one of the most well-documented games on the SNES despite its relative obscurity; I'd take advantage of it.

-full Child's Play option on all levels (or even all levels minus the Fleapit). it's already possible to play levels you "shouldn't" on Child's Play by setting up Plokontinues at the right places

Penkinos [Allium Veneficus] are the second most represented group of intelligent organisms in Ackrillic after their cousins the Shprouts

Shprouts [again,]

They are close cousins to Ploktavians and Penkinos despite some various cultural and physical differences

Among theses differences, only the Sproughts seems to live in sprayed and independent social groups.

Penkinos are just one tribe and depend on Sproughts and Ploktavians are rather very lonely individuals.

Shprout soldier has seen an angel

Soldiers shprouts are recognizable by their high helmet with ornaments indicating their position in the hierarchy, the more classic soldiers are equipped with iron helmets, often representing local animals, cases like this image have the high helmet, it indicates that this person is in ability to get rid of bigger threats like wizards.

all soldiers are equipped with a dagger and a spear (or a sword, their choice) the rifle is reserved for sorcerer slayers, they can generally be helped by archers (a caste of soldiers reserved for women)

I'm working on another Plok fangame.

I've learned from my previous mistakes. I am narrowing the scope as much as I can (it's going to be a clone of the old mobile/PSP game Pix'n Love Rush) and I will not create a single art asset until the rest of the game is complete.

Though realistically I'll probably give up on it in 2 weeks
