A misconception about Christianity is that we must immediately change our ways before coming to God. The enemy has us believing that we have to forgive our enemies first, that we must let go of all hatred and bad emotions first, that we must cut that certain music from our lives first, change the way we dress before hand, stop cursing first, even that we have to become “boring” etc. This is SO far from the truth.

God says for us to COME AS WE ARE. He wants YOU just as you are right now. He loves you regardless of how you are right now. He is accepting and merciful and loving. He will work on you and give you a new heart and a new spirit. Trust me, it will feel amazing too! ;) He will reveal to you His plan for you. There is no way of knowing what that plan is until you allow Him to lead you. What he does for one will be different than He does for another. Therefore, there is nothing that you need to change right now.

Once you gain that relationship with Christ, your heart will know what to do. You won’t feel pressured or obligated to change things in your life; you will WANT to. Just call out for the Lord. Tell Him to work on you, to lead you, to reveal His ways for you; listen to Him and you will become someone even more beautiful than you already are.
