To anyone thinking of writing that shamelessly self-indulgent fic: please do it. Even if the trope’s been done a hundred times or it’s such a rare pair you think people will not give it a chance. You write the story you want to read, not what you think anyone else may or may not like. It’s not about numbers or hits or kudos. It’s about writing what you love. More of it, not less. Write the problematic pairing. Do the tropes (there’s only one bed? Yes, there is!). Include all the deleted scenes. Make all the plot twists. Fanfiction doesn’t have to conform to a word count; it doesn’t have to be streamlined and whittled down to only the most ‘plot relevant’ points. You’re not writing a book, you're writing fanfiction. It’s maybe the only space where you get to be as self-indulgent with your words as possible.

If it makes you happy, write it.

What is your favorite part of Prongsfoot as a couple?

Hi! thanks for the ask For one, it is how easy it is to write them together. We don't have to go OOC in any amount bc Canon alr establishes how close they were-- its very easy to go from joines-at-the-hip besties to-joined-at-the-hips and dating.

It's also easy to read. Every fic and author are different but the two of them are always the same no matter in which situation even with diff writing styles and AU and all. Like enemies to lovers or besties to lovers both just hit the same part of my heart perfectly.

And well how can you not love a couple like them? like even when it's not portrayed as a perfect couple its still somehow the perfect couple. They just fit like puzzle peices and is legit the only reason I rejoined the fandom so it's very very special to me.

i don't think people understand how hard it is not to ship tomarry / harrymort because what do you mean they're borderline canonically soulmates. what do you mean they're PROPHESIED to each other. what do you mean they're literal parallels, had the same childhood circumstances but turned out the exact opposite. what do you mean harry's the embodiment of the light side and tom's the embodiment of the dark even though they're so, so similar. what do you mean they both have common names even though they themselves are anything but common. what do you mean they have uncountable amount of bible references that apply strictly to them, what do you mean harry makes sure to mention tom's the handsomest in the room whenever he sees him and apparently likes their connection. what do you mean their wands share the core of the same phoenix and therefore literally can't kill each other even if they wanted to. what do you mean harry wanted to give him another chance despite everything he's done, what do you mean tom offered him his hand, what do you mean harry killed tom at the same age except the order of the numbers is reversed. what do you mean harry's eyes are the same colour as tom's favourite unforgivable (avada) AND the colour of his house, what do you mean TOM'S eyes are the colour of harry's favourite defence spell (expelliarmus) and the colour of his house. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE EACH OTHER'S OTHER HALF. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HARRY IS LITERALLY TOM'S SOUL??? 😭

I have been sooo busy this month, therefore it is just a portrait study this month :') I am working on another really awesome art project, which has completely nothing to do with my Sirius works. However, the other project might help me to live off my artsy stuff one day. Perhaps. 🥲 (and it is also really fun!) This time I tried to paint a more dangerous, angry looking Sirius. I also recognized I am painting him slightly too young (in my opinion), so I also tried to fix that.^^
