gwen's scared of failure in a "i want everyone to respect me and failing means they won't" way, sam's scared of failure in a "i want proof that i'm special and failing means i'm not" way, and lena's scared of failure in a "they will genuinely actually kill me the second they figure out i've failed" way.

oh btw sam is the "physically cannot hold eye contact for more than 0.5 seconds" autistic and lena is the "stares right into the depths of your soul because she was taught that not making eye contact is disrespectful" autistic, this is canon and no one can change my mind

some more sketches of needles! his points are kind of like a porcupine’s, they’re flat most of the time but they pop out on certain occasions, particularly when he’s stressed. that’s why he wears a big trench coat, to cover up the scales you can still see when they’re flattened

i do imagine he’s very vain and takes a lot of care to preen his quills properly
