just got a new deck! gonna do this spread after i’ve meditated with it for a bit
Tumblr media
Interview your deck spread
If you recently got a new deck and you’re keen to use it, clear yourself some space, light a candle if you wish, and try out this neat interview spread! This spread will help to introduce yourself to a new tarot deck and allow it to introduce itself to you. Basically, it’s a conversation about your potential working relationship, where you can examine the deck’s strengths and limits and discover the best way to approach and use these cards. Certain decks, for instance, work best for love readings and others are more suited to spiritual path. Either way, this interview spread is a convenient way to explore those ideas in more detail.

sorry for sounding like a sjw, i just want to make sure my native brothers and sisters’ culture is protected
hello, i just wanted to adress something, i know i have a pretty small platform but i feel it is still important to talk about. recently more than ever i have seen witches online talk about ‘spirit animals’ this is not ok!!!! spirit animals are a part of native american culture! unless you are native american, you don’t have a spirit animal, you are referring to a very similar consept but calling it a spirit animal is such cultural appropriation. obviously you can have a familiar/totem animal but calling it a spirit animal is only perpetuating the stereotype of witches being cultural appropriators. further, for your own safety i would warn against doing any “spirit animal spells” you find as doing so will have a negative effect as many people will warn you against it. Finding your familiar is super cool!!!! but please do not blatantly steal from native american culture!!!

@white witches: yall r not “descendants” of white women who were burned at the stake and yadda yadda
Yall are the daughters of slave owners and slave owner wives that ALSO used the bible as a spell book and sacrificed black bodies to spirits to uphold white supremacy
Yall need to unpack that generational racism and colonialism just like poc have to unpack the generational trauma your ancestors are responsible for

Reminder that witchcraft and religion are two diffrent thing! You can be any religion and still do witchcraft, as being a witch in itself is not a religion (for the anon who claims you can’t be Christian and a witch)
Yes, thank you anon!

I have an app called Plantyx that identifies plants, unfortunately you have to get a subscription but you can do the free trial for 3 days over and over ig, hope this was helpful!
☆Herb study☆
So today I decide to take pictures of plants in my yard and use google images reverse as a way to find out the plants. It's quite difficult though. I think I may have to use my real camera instead of a phone. But here is what google and a my friend said.
Tumblr media
Tumble weed before it dies
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mesquite Trees
Tumblr media
Pond Pine Bush???
Tumblr media
Unknown (Google said grass but its not)
Tumblr media
GRASS
I live in Arizona so learning about the plants here is important to me.
