Conversation
the signs as shawn spencer quotes
Aries: Take me on "mano a mano". Just two dudes going at it. Two unevenly matched dudes.
Taurus: What isn't clear is why people always say, "It goes without saying", yet still feel compelled to say the thing that was supposed to go without saying. Doesn't that bother you?
Gemini: I did get you a donut. And then I ate it.
Cancer: I need you! I need the sweet blue shirt, I need the pants, I need the winsome smile that hides the sad Jamaican clown inside.
Leo: Let's just say that I am amazing and leave it at that.
Virgo: You should have a degree in being wrong all the time!
Libra: Remember the rule: treat a woman like a person, then a princess, then a Greek goddess, then a person again.
Scorpio: You sicken me. I'm sickened. I mean, sure, I'm still wildly attracted to you on a physical level, but spiritually, psychically...you're dead to me.
Sagittarius: Your negativity is really impeding my psychic ability.
Capricorn: Gus, I have a job here. I can't just leave willy-nilly.
Aquarius: And that, ladies and gentlemen, is precisely why time travel is not only possible but may have already happened.
Pisces: I will not be easily swayed or impressed by the effects of an intense adorability high.

I would like to take a moment to ask life to chill the heck out. Like seriously, life. Why you gotta be like that? We’re screwed enough as it is. No need to keep adding to it.

The seas be ours, and by the powers; where we will, we’ll roam. Yo ho, all hands, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars; never shall we die. Some men have died and some are alive and others sail on the sea. With the keys to the cage and the devil to pay, we lay to the fiddler’s green.Yo ho haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars; never shall we die.

Me: Hasn’t posted anything in over 6 months
Also Me: When I do post it’s usually just me reblogging something funny or nerdy I found
Me Again: Doesn’t really have anything funny or interesting enough to post about anyway
Still Me: “Why don’t I have more followers, I just don’t get it?”

DM to party of pirates: He puts his hand up in a salute as he continues to walk away. It’s a salute your familiar with. It only requires one finger.

“You know, my motto is ‘Excelsior.’ That’s an old word that means ‘upward and onward to greater glory’. It’s on the seal of the state of New York. Keep moving forward, and if it’s time to go, it’s time. Nothing lasts forever.” – Stan Lee

A dedication to Stan Lee
Stan the Man himself sadly passed yesterday. I first heard about it from one of my co-workers, but I honestly didn’t believe him when he said it. Stan Lee can’t die! A little while later while I was at lunch I checked for myself and sure enough, it was true. It was weird. I’d grown up hearing about him and I’ve always been such a huge nerd that his name became common knowledge to me.
Whenever someone that I look up to leaves us, it hits me really hard. Not because they’re gone though.
Because I know that now, they’ll never get to create anything new.
They’ll never get to see all the joy that their creations keep bringing after their time has ended.
They won’t get to see all the stories based off of their work and all of the tributes dedicated to them.
They won’t know just how many people grieved for them.
Stan never did it for the recognition, he was always in it because he loved the stories he was creating. He understood what made characters and heroes so likable by everyone, and he was an avid defender of equality and progress in times when that was much less common.
This day extracts a heavy toll on us all. But Stan has joined the ranks of people that can only be described as visionaries, idols, or heroes.
It’s a rare thing that someone is so dedicated to their stories.
Jim Henson, Satoru Iwata, J.R.R Tolkien, Gary Gygax, Robin WIlliams, Christopher Lee, Leonard Nimoy, just to name a few.
Those are the ranks that you’ve joined Stan. It breaks my heart to know that eventually, there will be even more people joining the coolest VIP party in heaven, but I’m glad you made it there.
In an interview not to long ago, you said that you don’t think of us as your fans. Rather, you consider us all your close friends, and that that’s how you would like us to think of you as well.
So, as a final goodbye to my friend Stan, I just say.....
Excelsior.

You know, when he was 10 years old, he ran for office on the promise he’d build a Thunderdome in the schoolyard. I can’t imagine what that idiot’s got planned now.
