We're really doing this, huh? Well, alright than. If I have to talk about lore I'm just going to make it up on the fly with no prior thought put into it. Neither you, nor God can stop me. I'm just here to meme. Main blog: @asexualstarscream

I loved that one post of the microsoft law stickers and I immediately thought "this is totally something Fazbear Entertainment would use". So I had to draw at least one of them with Helpy. May draw more in the future. Who knows.

This may be a controversial take but I think he sits between Baby and Sun/Moon. Closer to Baby.
Baby and Ennard are on opposite sides of the clown scale. Sun/Moon sit right in the middle of that scale.

Are there any things you would have done to show how disturbing the situation with Vanny is and explore its implications more? Like scenes you would have had?
Sure! Now, these are off the top of my head, but let me throw some possibilities out there.
More dialogue from Vanny is a must. How about at a certain time of the game, or perhaps if you effectively evade Vanny, she stops skipping and starts walking normally? Hunched into herself, looking around frantically, mumbling and muttering to herself.
Dialogue lines such as: "I'm trying, I'm trying." "I-I didn't mean to lose him. I'll find him. I promise." Repeated apologies.
Gets along that Vanny is not entirely willing, that her persona is fake, and that she's afraid enough to both be sympathetic AND a threat... Though, for this to be most effective, this would probably need to happen in the final act of the story. Perhaps right before 6AM, which gives the player and Gregory reason to suspect there's something more going on.
Or if she's possessed, why not have a scene where she suddenly snaps out of it? Maybe have her actually catch Gregory like Vanessa does only to suddenly be confused and disoriented, like a reverse Sun and Moon situation.
A big factor that comes into play also involves whether or not she is Vanessa. I feel like the maybe in SB is a cop-out and that going in all out could open doors to various scenarios. Is Vanessa a person broken into two personas when puppeteered by a greater force? Or is Vanessa a second threat and victim relegated to the Pizzaplex.
Because if it is the latter, that opens up to interactions between Vanessa and Vanny, whoever the latter actually is, and if it is the former then it opens to more possibilities of the reveal.
And, yeah, the unmasking of Vanny should've been an actual cutscene. Just like the destruction of the animatronic, it should've been a big, suspenseful moment where we feel and see what's under the mask.
There's something so powerful about a silent shot of someone's face. There's so many emotions you can portray in one moment. You can effectively get a major boost in characterization from one look alone.
You can see how willing she is just from the look in her eyes after she is unmasked.
If Vanny is truly unwilling, we need to see her afraid. If she isn't in control, we need to see her fighting for it, or at least see what it looks like when she suddenly gets it back, or loses it.
And we need something concrete. I get that lore baiting is a fun pastime, but without anything real you can't feel its weight. If you can't see it, if you can't feel it, then you can't believe it. Vanny and Afton never exchange a word in the game, are never shown to outright be connected in the game.
Because the most important thing about getting your point across is making sure the audience can see the point you're trying to make!
...
Now, if this was a higher rated game, I would've gone a little more intense. We can't even mention blood, it's not like we're going to be able to go into the real meat and potatoes of psychological manipulation.
American Mcgee's Five Nights in Silent Hill.
It's so tight that she can barely breath, but with his hand clasped over her mouth she cannot cry for help. She doesn't even know if she would waste the breath to do so when he's already all over her skin.
