I don't even know the story of arknights that well tbh. magic is real but also gives you cancer. accumulation of rocks that make magic stronger but aren't the only source of magic causes really intense natural disasters, you work for a paramilitary pharmaceutical company that operates out of a land based aircraft carrier and you're the guardian of a teenage wizard with rock cancer. rock cancer is transmissible so people who have it are discriminated against and they maybe explode like corpses in death stranding if they die from it. there's also a paramilitary organization made of infected people who don't like our pharmaceutical company but why not I'm not really sure of
#i know the story. and it tortures me#i chase it like a dog chasing cars. i understand it like some poor bastard in a lovecraft novel reading The Texts. it drives me to insanity#when i got to the end of chapter 14 i stayed up for 24 hours straight thinking about the lore. i felt fucking insane. it broke me#somebody help me. this stupid rock cancer game has infected me
