A gracious twilight to you, Parareaders,
I hate saying this word. I know it’s superstition. But it makes me uncomfortable in my bones. But then. Last night. My partner said it. Skin Walker. I was relaying a story to them- not saying the actual word- and they said it. To clarify. They aren’t as superstitious as I am- opposites attract and all that. (They are a sweet golden retriever type)
I tell them that it creeps me out to say the word. But my partner reminds me that we aren’t in skin Walker territory. Joking that that’s the only reason that we’re safe from them.
Those stories haunt me. Ones of loved ones that aren’t quite right. Pets that don’t respond to you- that stand erect. I can’t stomach it. Those nightmares come real.
Have any of you had an encounter?
Creep it real my Parareaders. Stay safe out there.

Good Eve of the new year Parareaders,
This post is about mistakes. I find myself on vacation for the new year. My partner and I are staying at a rental house with their family. We chose to stay in a bedroom in the basement.
I didn’t know why, but the room felt off to me. As I laid awake at 2 am this morning, my eyes drifted to the corner of the room.
There. In the corner. Was this piece of furniture inlaid with a mirror. The energy from that mirror must have been what was causing me to be uncomfortable. I just felt like something or someone was watching me. It’s not a serious negative energy, just… uncomfortable or unsettled. It’s like it came from somewhere with people that argued often or were very stressed. I’m not surprised it was moved to the basement.
I have since decided to move rooms since I can’t move that furniture. It just goes to show you that even semi-professional paranormal enthusiasts make mistakes. I should have thought a out that mirror pointing right at my bed. But I didn’t!
Creep it real Parareaders. And Happy New Year.

Blessings and salutations my precious Parareaders,
This mirror comes from a house call. I rarely get house calls, mostly because what I do seems like nonsense to most everyone with any sense. Paranormal investigation makes sense only to those who have experienced the paranormal.
I found my way to an old home owned by a lovely elderly woman. Her grandson was interested in the paranormal and had heard of my services. He convinced his grandmother to let me take a look at her house.
As we were walking around getting a tour, this mirror stood out to me. Not only is it just gorgeous, but it’s energy was radiating negativity. I told the woman that I was interested in that mirror and asked about it. She said that her father had actually purchased it for her mother when they were first married. She didn’t say anything else really about it.
It wasn’t until later when my partner and I were alone with her grandson that we learned a bit more about the mirror’s background. The grandson told us that his grandmother had been abused by both her mother and father. It was back in a time when child abuse was seen as just discipline. She didn’t see it as abuse until much later in life when her own children convinced her to go to therapy. He said that both of her parents passed away around their 40’s and he thought it relieved his grandmother.
He also said that the mirror was always kept in a back room no one ever went in except to store something.
After a lot of convincing, I was able to purchase the mirror and brought it back to my studio. It is one of the most negative and volatile energy conduits I have come in contact with. After deliberation, my partner and I decided to have a priest say a blessing over it. The blessing seems to have irradiated the negative energy that manifested itself, but I think I’ll still hold onto this mirror just in case.
Creep it real, Parareaders.

Hello dear Parareaders,
The Wolfman. Werewolf. What have you.
As I sit here watching the first episode of Mountain Monsters and watch these rednecks hunt a paranormal creature, I’m reminded of one of my own “Wolfman” encounters.
I don’t think it was actually a “Wolfman” but that’s the closest term I can use to describe it.
My younger sister, brother, and cousin were camping with our families. We decided to go for a walk through the woods. It was a nice summer day going on fall. The underbrush and trees were thick with leaves. You couldn’t see too far ahead. But it wasn’t too hilly or steep so it should have been a pleasant walk.
As we stood at the top of a little ridge, we heard the most ungodly screech/roar. To this day my sister and I haven’t been able to find a sound that replicates it. We’ve listened to bear sounds, mountain Lion, bobcat… pretty much anything in our region that it *might* be.
I don’t know.
We took off running as soon as we heard it. We weren’t far from camp. My cousin fell and I remember us hauling him up and basically carrying him back. We could hear breaking branches and leaves shuffling as if something was chasing us, but we couldn’t see anything and we were too scared to stop for too long. When we got through the tree line with our family, they were sitting and making lunch. We asked if they heard the roar. None of them heard it.
I kid you not. We were maybe 20 yards from the campsite. There’s no way they couldn’t have been able to hear that loud, horrifying sound. That’s the only reason I mark this encounter as paranormal. How could they not have heard it?
Creep it real, lovely Parareaders.

Hey there Parareaders,
I get a lot of questions (and criticism) about paranormal investigation. Something that I’m asked the most about is my mirror investigations. It’s something that isn’t popularly done in the paranormal investigating community, but it IS something I’m passionate about.
So, again, here’s a run down of how my mirror work works.
Step 1: FIND A MIRROR. I’ve gotten mirrors from literally everywhere. Sometimes people will ask me to look into a mirror(ha look INTO a mirror), but most of the time I find them on my own. I putter around garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales… pretty much wherever. It’s a common misconception that powerful paranormal energy come from the oldest of things. I’ve found some of my most malicious pieces from the last two decades. The time doesn’t matter- the experience does.
Step 2: INVESTIGATE THE MIRROR. I do this in a number of ways. Most importantly, I have what I call my “mirror studio”- a room fully dedicated to investigation set apart from the rest of my house. I use my garage (much to my partner’s dismay). I keep my mirrors in the room and study them over a course of time. The length of time depends on the volatility of the piece.
Step 3: REHOME or REMOVE. After I’ve studied the mirror and got a good sense of it’s energy. I either rehome it or remove it. If a piece is reflective of positive energy, I rehome it. If it reflects bad energy, I remove it. Removal can take place in a number of ways. Destroying mirrors doesn’t destroy the energy- you’d just release it. So, I find ways to remove or reduce the negative energy and find a place for it.
That’s just a basic layout of my process.
Creep it real.

Howdy Parareaders,
This account comes from my partner. As they were exploring an abandoned house in town (they’re into real estate), they came across this nifty treasure.
A filigree antique mortise lock.
I know what you’re thinking, “yeah that’s a pretty doorknob but so what?” And that’s exactly what I thought when they showed it to me as well.
My partner then informed me that this was the ONLY decorated lock in the house. And, what was even more strange, was that it went to a door that led to nowhere.
Now reason would argue that the door HAS to have led to somewhere in the past. They most likely built in a new wall or something. There weren’t any original blueprints available, so my partner had to investigate using their own knowledge of old homes.
After searching for any indication of the door leading to somewhere, we had to assume a room was walled up completely and made unavailable.
To make matters worse, my partner said that with the light, summery design, the room may have been a nursery or child’s room.
I didn’t sleep that night.
Before the house was purchased, we removed the door knob and kept it in my mirror testing room. After a few days, I felt an obvious drain on my energy while I was in my mirror room. I knew it was the door knob. The residual dark energy was being reflected in the mirrors, making it more powerful.
Whatever that room was and whatever that door held back, if the door knob held enough dark energy to affect the mirrors and me, there was no way that room wasn’t filled with an evil entity.
We found a safe home for the door knob with a friend.
Creep it real.

Good morning (for me) Parareaders,
For a time in my childhood, I grew up on a small farm. This was of course before my parents’ crushing bankruptcy. The farm sat on 40 acres of woods and fields. My family mainly raised cattle, but we also planted corn and some kind of grass for hay (I can’t remember what it was called).
The house we lived in had sat there for well over 120 years. It had even been used as a first aid post during the civil war. Although it was never recorded (to our knowledge), no one had died inside the house. I only mention this because when I started to experience paranormal activity here, my first assumption were ghosts of fallen soldiers.
The house came with several pieces of antique furniture, including an old, hand-held silver backed mirror in my bedroom. That mirror had a dark energy about it. I felt that something was looking at me when I looked into it. I shoved it in a drawer and left it there for ages.
One day I walked by my little sister’s room and heard her talking to someone- she was holding the mirror. I asked who she was talking to and she said she didn’t want to tell me. I was young- maybe 12. I did what I thought was wise but was extremely foolish looking back.
I snuck out that night with the mirror, broke it, and buried it in the woods near my old clubhouse.
My sister never mentioned the mirror being missing and we moved a few months later. It was probably nothing, but with spiritual energy you never know. Plus, lots of weird stuff happened when we lived there.
That’s all for now, my Parareaders.
Creep it real.

Rough night Parareaders,
I’m up later than normal, so I thought I’d share. The mirror on the left is one of my favorite rehomings.
I found that beauty in the back of an antique shop when I was on vacation in the north east coast. It was cracked a little and had some smoky spots.
What was even more interesting was the inscription on the back. It read:
“The Lightwood’s -1889” & then “Johnstown”
I believe this is in reference to the family that owned it, possibly the year it was made, and the place it was made. The interesting part is that in Johnstown 1889, there was a flood after a heavy rain. The flood could have been completely avoided, but the town leaders built a flimsy dam so they had a nice lake. The dam broke and destroyed most of the town and killed hundreds of people. Did it kill the Lightwood’s? Or, we’re the Lightwood’s one of the magnate families that destroyed the town?
It’s a lovely piece from the Gilded Age from everything I can tell. After keeping it in my testing room for a month, I came to the conclusion that the spiritual energy from the mirror was mostly positive. While being around it most days I felt calm and relaxed which was surprising given it’s possible background. This meant that it was a great candidate to be rehomed.
The family that purchased it hasn’t sent me any complaints so far, so hopefully it’ll work out for them.
Get some sleep.
Creep it real.

Good late-afternoon Parareaders,
I’ve had several paranormal experiences throughout my life. I’ve never truly been afraid at the time because I feel such a strong connection to the paranormal.
However, there is one paranormal phenomenon that both interests and frightens me.
The Skinwalker.
From accounts that I’ve read, the skinwalker is one of the darkest and most mysterious entities on this planet.
I was skeptical about their existence until my time in New Mexico and the southwest. There is something different out there. A beautiful and malignant energy (much like yours truly). The people that live out west are on polar degrees of the poverty line- very rich or very poor. The majority of people fall on the poor side of that line.
Poverty causes stress, which births negative energy. Negative energy can manifest in different ways and attract dark spirits. I have a theory that skinwalkers are some of those dark spirits. That… or they truly are people who have chosen dark magic and possession over this world. I pray for them.
Once while hiking in the mountains of New Mexico, me and my partner came across a small alcove. There was a small stream so we sat to rest next to it. That’s when we heard it. Some kind of unearthly yell/screech. Our first thought was that it was another hiker or maybe a mountain lion. Either way, it set our teeth on edge so we packed up. As we hiked back down the trail, I kept feeling like something was watching us, following us.
We never saw anything. But I felt it. A dark, draining, yearning energy. It pulled at me. I don’t hike much anymore.
These are my Sunday thoughts.
Creep it real.

Dearest Parareaders,
My recent purchase of a mirror from the 1970’s. It had an “off” vibe to it (I didn’t have any tools with me at the time), so I gave it a chance. Boy, it did not disappoint. My EMF meter had pretty low readings, but that isn’t uncommon with mirrors as you know. Mirrors don’t usually have EMF readings. But keep that bad boy in your house for a while, and you’ll figure out if it has any paranormal energy or not.
Most of my mirrors I test don’t have much paranormalness to them. This one definitely did. It’s obvious this mirror lives in a severely negative (possibly abusive) household for a long time. Long periods of contact with the mirror caused irritation and uneasiness. It is one of the more hostile energy reflections I’ve seen.
I’ll let you know if anything interesting occurs.
Creep it real!

Hello Parareaders,
Today’s excerpt comes from the journal of a student from my Alma Mater. This journal was one of the only things recovered from the brutal (yet non-deadly) fire of 1912. For those of you who follow me elsewhere, you’ll remember that the fire of 1912 is the pinnacle of my research in regards to the secrets of my Alma Mater.
Although currently remaining nameless, my college was originally a school for women. The founder started the school for his 13 daughters. It is my belief that his daughters, as well as many other women who attended the college, were witches.
In 1912, there was a fire in the academic building which destroyed all records of students before 1912. It is my belief that these files corroborated my thesis- that the school was providing a safe haven for a witch coven under the guise of a Christian school.
“…It happened once again. Mary says not to worry, but I feel the devil in me and I shudder. I pleaded with Mother Barri to remove me from the class; she simply stated that I need only wait.”
Wait for what? Who is this Mother Barri? Is this girl possessed? These questions I hope to answer in the coming weeks.
Hope you have a good week!
Remember to creep it real!
