Originally I wasn’t going to post anything from me specifically about the discourse over animal packers currently going on, but. Someone I follow [another alterhuman] on Instagram just posted this and I just felt the need to share because it rubbed my fur the wrong way.

Of course they’re completely within their rights to say this because it makes them uncomfortable, but the fact that it’s becoming a precedent that it’s evil, bad, and makes you a zoo is. Not great.

They are also in the… younger age demographic, which might have something to do with it, but still. The separation and the difference in ‘culture’ between apps within the therian community is… astounding sometimes.

I dunno when my alterhumanity went from being all mystical and magical, to casual and indifferent but its so funny to me.

Im probably phrasing this poorly but lemme give an example.

On the bus today, omw home from school. I randomly felt my ear-wings and back wings show up, which is an experience in the past I would’ve been overly excited about. But now, I found my first thought being “damn. how am I gotta fit my bag on now without with these in the way”.

Not exactly an exciting story, but I just find it funny that phantom shifts and critter behavior are just my norm now.

Not anything mystical. Just normal.

Today I found out my dead grandpa was a massive shoplifter and every ice cream sandwich, Little Debbie roll and candy he gave me was more than likely stolen. He always had little gifts for me. Gifts he had stolen. Apparently Walmart was his favorite spot to steal from. I thought I couldn’t love and respect my grandfather any more than I already did but I do now. well I got bored and put martencore in front of it. so now it’s a kintype thing lol! so for example a wolf would be wolfcore and then animal, color, food, season, etc after it.

Left to right I did:

you might just get an image of your kintype, up to you if you’d like to do that or go the next image that is relevant to the prompt

Just started reading Sherlock Holmes and all the adaptations are wrong. This man is a delight. He gets excited about hemoglobin and is ecstatic at the thought of Watson as a roommate. He purposefully forgets how the solar system works so he has more room in his brain for crime. He shows Watson the dirt stains on his trousers and he can tell what part of London they come from based on color and consistency. (As far as i can tell Watson didn't ask, Sherlock just gets back from walks and tells Watson about the stains unprompted.) The text specifically says "Holmes was certainly not a difficult man to live with." Why does every adaptation make him unpleasant and rude, he's literally just eccentric. He's such a goober, I love him.

BE SO FOR REAL??!!! we are literally THERIANS! we were never normal and we never will be. the therian community was never normal. istg 90% of tiktok therians would flip their shit if they went on tumblr and saw how our community SHOULD be in other spaces
