It's okay to admit that you grew up racist.
Black people already know. All BIPOC already know. They grew up in the same school system we did. They grew up hearing the same racist white adults that we did (Adults that wouldn't let children question them because "I'm the adult, so I know more.")
It's okay to admit that you grew up racist. No one wants to hear you say "I'm not racist". Trust me, even I don't want to hear you say "I'm not racist".
Just as long as you admit that you're trying to be better, and you ask "How can I be better?".
