The location I would put her in doesn’t exist in the game yet, but I tried to do a bit of a background.

Personally I would understand if Penelope doesn’t actually show up in Hades 2, there’s so much going on in the game already, buuuut if she was there….

I think there’s a lot of fun metaphor in unraveling the day’s weavings as a form of turning back the clock, hence “Witch of Unwinding”. Penelope isn’t referred to as a witch in any myths that I know of, but for various reasons I think it’s a fun change.

Vengeance Saga has come out and I have like a lot of thoughts- mostly about the visuals- the songs were great but there were some visuals that made the moment feel so out of pocket or just downright funny, despite the seriousness of moment. I’m saying this as an animator and storyboarder myself and I wont name which artists but there were several that made cackle because I would’ve never expected it, and others that made me sour because there were other artists in their roster that could’ve done better than others based on their existing outputs.

The main thing that really threw me off was the excessive camera movements and lack of framing and cuts. It made some parts feel- I hate to say it but- bad. No shit towards Mr. Jalapeño whatsoever, but the artists per each part could’ve been better chosen to a part that suits them (like in the end of Love in Paradise, I stand that it should’ve been Gigi because that scene was so stiff and plain and needed a turn around or at least proper framing, but there is probably an internal reason for that).

But I’ll leave it at that. Progress isn’t linear and many artists are still learning and have different styles, but the problem is when people become comfortable and they start to stagnate and end up doing the one same thing all over again without any improvement. In the end I acknowledge their effort for this output and I look forward to their next interpretations of these songs.

See the thing is, Odysseus still tried to reason with Poseidon. He tried to resolve this with words, with his wit. That didn't work. It would never work with Poseidon. So, he became the monster he needed to be to get home. He turned the lesson Poseidon taught him back on him. He was ruthless. And at the end of it, he got his mercy. He got to go home. But he did try, one last time, to be the man Polites believed him to be. Open arms didn't work. So ruthlessness it was.
