Madge had been in manic mode for the past month. With all the deaths and the games going on, he head girl duties were piling on. Even though McGonagall tried to lighten her load, she still had a lot on her plate. Luckily, the school year was ending soon.Â
As Madge sat in the Great Hall, she let out a sigh of relief. She had just got he NEWTS back in which she passed all five of them, and with flying colors. But she expected no less from herself. She doubted anyone worked harder than her at her school work and it definitely showed. Yes, Madge was ready to move on in the world. She wanted to make a difference and that would be at the ministry.Â
As she sat there, pushing peas around on her plate, she contemplated what to do now. With her school work basically done with, she had free time on her hand. She could get an early start on those ministry applications....or she could talk to Verity. That's what she really wanted to do, but she didn't know how. She had so many unresolved feelings for Verity and now that the school year was over and they were to go their separate ways, she didn't know what to do.Â
She saw Verity sitting there. She was never one to hide or run from her feelings, but she felt it pointless. Madge stood up from her seat and headed towards the doors of the Great Hall. As she got nearer to the doors, she heard a familiar voice call out her name. She turned around to find Verity rushing up to her. At this point almost everyone was staring at the two. Madge's face turned beat red as Verity put her hand on her cheek. Verity mumbled something that Madge didn't get get, but it didn't matter, because the next thing Madge knew, Verity kissed her right on the lips in front of everyone. The entire room went silent as they watched the intimate moment between the two. However, Madge didn't notice, nor did she even care. All she wanted was to make the moment of their lips touching last forever.Â
After what felt like an eternity, the two broke apart, both of them breathing heavily. Madge looked around saw a room full of wide eyed students staring at them. Some of them looked happy, some jealous, and some angry and disgusted. Most of the teachers looked away in embarrassment. Professor McGonagall just smiled softly at them.Â
Madge never liked being the center of attention, but here she was standing in front of the entire student body. She felt like she had to say something. Madge stepped in front of Verity and cleared her throat. "Good Evening everyone. I'm Madge Orville, and this is my girlfriend," She said as she gestured to Verity, "Verity Sanderson. If any of you have a problem with it...well I guess you can come talk to MEÂ about it," Madge made a point to grip her wand tightly at this, "Or you can just deal with it." The room was still silent. After one second, McGonagall started clapping for her and slowly the majority of the students soon followed. Madge's face lit up when she all the support she had. She grabbed Verity's hand and ran out of the great hall down the corridor.Â
LIKE YOU WANT TO BE LOVED || verity and madge.
It’d been a long year and  Verity was officially done with Hogwarts. None of the deaths directly affected her by any means, but it was still difficult to deal with the sadness. She wanted to sympathize, she really did, but the only people she truly had connections with were Andrew and Madge- who she hadn’t seen in a damn long time.Â
… Madge. Verity watched the girl from a distance as they sat in the Great Hall. They were all leaving sooner than later and she hadn’t spoken to the girl once. They had all those feelings to get through- the unspoken ones. She didn’t care if the rest of the world didn’t see it, because she did.Â
When the girl was nearing the doors of the Great Hall, Verity got up out of her seat and rushed over. “Madge!" She called out. “Madge-"Â
She reached the girl, putting her hands on Madge’s cheeks. She felt hysterical, at this point; since when had anyone at the school seen her as anything but happy? In a breathless whisper, she spoke. “Fuck it."Â
Verity kissed Madge before the whole student body.

Well, with 8 amazing floors, 142 moving staircases, the outside grounds including the Quidditch Pitch and the lake, there is a lot to show you.Â
But, I'm really only suppose to show around on the way to the class you will be teaching which is what...mr....I'm sorry, I never caught your name.Â
This place looks like I might get lost around here.
Oh, right! Sorry, I’m Madge Orville, Head Girl.
You’re the new T.A. right? I was told to come meet you and show you around.Â

Madge sighed. He lost two parents. Madge had no idea how that could possibly feel. Sure she never knew her real dad, but she still had two loving parents out there. And he had a sister. She didn't know that. She looked around for a place to sit and found a near by chair. "How old is your sister?" she asked as she sat down on the chair. She didn't want to leave him alone now, and maybe getting him to talk about his sister  would make him feel better. She had to give it a try.Â
Anywhere Else But Here || Madge & Charlie
It was quiet. Madge just stood there with her head down, tears welling up in her eyes, waiting for something…anything. For him to cry, for him ask questions, for him to yell at her…anything. But nothing came. Eventually, Madge couldn’t take the silence any longer. She looked up at him, his head was turned away from him, but she could see the tears falling from his face.  Suddenly, all the words started rushing out. “I’m sorry, I was posting the class cancellations and I went to turn in an essay and he wasn’t there but something felt off in his classroom so I checked around and I found his body in the closet. I ran out, posted cancellation notice on the door and went straight to McGonagall who, when I told her, gave me the day off, which was very nice of her. So I was on my way up to my room and I saw you and I just felt like you should know as soon as possible. And I shouldn’t have told you, I should have waited for a professor to tell you. I’m sorry I really am I-" She stopped talking. All the words seemed to come out all at once like word vomit. She never spoke so much or so fast in her life. By the time she was done, she was panting for breath. Hesitantly, she extended her hand to console the boy, but she stopped, unsure of what to do…"I-I know it can’t be easy for you…"Â

"Well...umm....I'm Madge Orville....Seventh Year....and Head Girl...."She stumbled. Charlie looked at her as if he already knew that. This only made her more nervous. She didn't quite know how to say it. How do you tell someone their father is dead? She looked down and started playing with her hands. She hadn't been nervous since her first date with James. "Your umm...Your father......Professor Donohue....ummm I probably should let professor McGonagall tell you this....but....Your father....he's...he's dead...." Tears started to swell up in her eyes. She couldn't look at the boy as she said this. "I-I'm so sorry for your loss."Â
Anywhere Else But Here || Madge & Charlie
The sounds of feet hitting the floor echoed down the hall as Madge quickly walked down them toward the Gryffindor common room. She was still in shock from what she saw. It’s reasonable, after all, she did just find the dead body of Professor Donohue. Of course the first thing she did when she saw the body was run straight to Professor Mcgonagall. She told Mage to go straight to the Common Room to get some rest and that she was excused from all her classes and her duties as head girl for the rest of the day. Now normally, Madge would protest and demand that she attended classes and performed her duties. She had a reputation to uphold. However, today she didn’t argue. Instead, she just nodded her head. Madge wasn’t even sure she had the strength to argue. All those sleepless nights, and now this. It was all becoming a bit too much. She just wanted to get into bed and pretend like none of it ever happened.Â
As he walked down the halls her eyebrows were furrowed and she was biting her lip rather hard. A few more minutes of biting and she would start to draw blood.  Luckily, she reached the painted lady just in time. She mumbled the password, but the painted lady couldn’t hear, and had her repeat it. This time she practically scowled the password at the portrait. The painting swung open and Madge walked in briskly.Â
The common room was empty. Most kids were in classes. She was almost at the stairs when she  spotted someone in a chair, it appeared they were napping. A more closer look and Madge recognized the student. Charlie Donohue. A sullen look came over her face. She knew what she had to do, tell him what happened. That is his father is dead. She quietly made her way over to the boy and lightly on the shoulder to wake him up. “Um….excuse me…You are Charlie Donohue Correct?"Â

Death and Dances || Madge One Shot
Madge walked down the hall full of students in haste. In her arms were a stack of papers, a hammer and some nails. Ever since all the recent deaths, Madge has had to go around to all the deceased teachers’ classes and even some others to post about cancellations. She has been running up and down the school for the past week. Every day it seems there are more cancellations and more people are dying each day. Madge hasn’t had a good day since the dance. Frankly, that seemed to be the last good day anyone has had.
At the dance, Madge started talking with Vi. Vi was pretty nice, she was urging Madge to go dance. However, Madge didn’t want to dance. At least, she didn’t want to dance with anyone there. The only person she did want to dance with as Verity, and Verity didn’t want to go to the ball. However half way through the ball, she spotted James and his friends. As she saw him maneuver his way over to her, Madge just rolled her eyes. “Come on, dance with me…It’ll be fun.” James urged. Madge shook her head at him, “No thank you, James, we have been down that road before.” James leaned in closer to her and gave her a look of coercion. “You know, every girl would die to have a chance to dance with me.” At that, Madge just scoffed, “Get over yourself, James.” She handed him the drink she was holding headed straight for the exit. James infuriated her so much. She wished Verity was there with her. She always knew how to make her feel better. Just the thought of Verity was enough to let go of the anger she felt towards James. She decided she was going to have a fun time. At that time, Vi came over to her and asked how she was doing. “I’m gonna have fun, Vi. Can you manage without me?” And without waiting for a response, Madge found a group of her friends and danced the night way. She truly did enjoy herself.
The next morning however, was not so pleasant. She was awoken early. She didn’t know how early, all she knew was that the sun was just about halfway up. She was led down the corridor into the nursery. Many of the teachers and T.A.s and also some Aurors were in a circle. In the middle of the circle were the bodies of Starr Larrison and Evangaline Duloch. She was informed that they were murdered and they don’t know by whom. The Aurors were here to investigate and were not to be disturbed and were not to disturb the students. Madge was told that she was to make sure that the students were kept in line and to post about the class cancellations.
One week later and she is still doing just that. It seemed that more deaths just kept happening. It was scary for the most part. People were dying and she didn’t know if this place was safe anymore. However, she still had a job to do and she would do it. Not only did she have her Head Girl duties, but she also had her regular school work she was getting behind in. She got extensions. She had just finished her essay on giants for her Defense against the Dark Arts Class. She had the essay in hand and was heading to hand it in since it was on her way to the next class cancellation she had to post.
As she got to the room, the door was ajar. Madge knocked, “Hello. Professor Donohue?” She asked as she slowly stepped in. The room was fairly neat except for some few stray papers. But no one was in the room. This seemed a bit strange for Madge since she said she would be dropping by at this time and it was never like Professor Donohue to be late or miss a meeting. Not only that but the first class of the day was going to start and she thought that he would be getting ready. She looked around the room a bit more and the more she looked, the odder it seemed. Something wasn’t right, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. She came to the closet where he kept spare supplies for students. The door was locked, which it never is. “Alohomora.” Madge said as she pointed her wand at the door. The door unlocked and Madge swung it open. When she saw what was inside, she stepped back and had to cover her mouth so she wouldn’t scream. Inside was Professor Donohue’s lifeless body. It took a few minutes for her to get over the shock, and the entire time she was shaking. After she got her nerve back, she quietly closed the closet door and ran out of the room toward Professor McGonagall’s office. The last thing she did before she left the room was post a notice about class cancellation on his door. Â

Madge rolled her eyes at as she pulled her along. As they got to the shop. Verity pulled Madge up to a table in the nice little tea shop. It was one of Madge's favorite places ever James took her here on one of their first dates. Madge's face turned beat red as Verity kissed her hand and asked for some tea. The waiter gave them a dirty look, but Madge paid no attention to it. She didn't understand why Verity had to make such a grand gesture out of everything. She certainly didn't need the attention, she got enough from just being herself. It was the main reason why Madge befriended Verity in the first place. They haven't been friends for long, but Madge felt as though she could trust Verity with her life, and she did.Â
Once the tea came, Madge started to pour some into a cup. It was her favorite kind of tea; Chamomile. Verity seemed to know so much about Madge. She always knew what to get her and what she loved. She sometimes wondered if Verity knew her better than she knew herself. But in all honesty, Madge didn't mind. She loved being around her and having someone in her life who knew so much about her. She also knew a lot about Verity, but definitely not as much as Verity knew about her.Â
"You don't I like it when you buy things." she stated as she sipped at her tea. It was the perfect temperature. She then picked up a biscuitand nibbled on it. Verity always seemed to want to buy her something. Often times Madge felt guilty because she hardly ever bought things for Verity. It felt to her, as if their relationship was one sided. "How about I buy you something," Madge inquired, as she put the nibbled biscuit down on a little plate, "I'll buy you a nice red bracelet." She smiled warmly at Verity right before she took another sip of her tea.Â
SPRINGTIME CHRISTMAS || merida
Madge blushed as her friend got down on her knees as if she was proposing to her. Verity always like to make scenes like this. It wasn’t much of Madge’s style. She much preferred to blend into the background and just about her business. She looked down at Verity. She was wearing a lovely read dress and thin black cloak that flattered her figure rather nicely. She was definitely not dressed for the weather. Madge on the other hand was, wearing a nice pink fleece coat that Verity had bought her back in their sixth year.Â
She didn’t like that that Verity had bought her such a nice coat. It was most likely very expensive. But, Verity insisted and Madge really did like it. Reluctantly, she accepted the coat. Nowadays, it’s her favorite piece of clothing she owns. Not just because of how great it looks on her, but because Verity gave it to her.Â
Madge looked down at Verity pleading. She really didn’t want to bother anyone. They were all here to just shop and enjoy their time. “Okay….” Madge finally gave in and pulled Verity to her feet and linking her own arm with her friends. “But, can we not bother people please. Last time you did that we almost got thrown out.” She said as they walked toward the tea shop.Â

"Oh, I've taken part in plenty of dances already." She leaned against the wall and stared into space, "Besides....I really only want to dance with one person...and they didn't come." She then looked back up to Vi, "I'm Madge Orville. 7th year Gryffindor and Head Girl." She looked back some of 4th year gryffindor's dancing. They looked like they were having fun. The last dance she went to was in her sixth year with James. It was right before they broke up.....but she didn't want to think about the sad things. She had too much to look forward to in life. "What about you? Judging by the look on your face, you don't seem to be having much fun."Â
Dancing in the Moon|| Madge & Vi
Madge was walking through the dance floor. And by walking, she was really just trying to maneuver her way through the dancing students. Madge herself wasn’t dancing tonight. she didn’t really feel like dancing. First of all she wasn’t asked by anyone, and with everything that has been going on lately, the dance just feels out of place for her. But, she does agree that it allows for her some much needed fun for the students. The only reason she was there was to help chaperone the dance since she was Head Girl.  She finally made her way over the wall next to the food. She picked up some chips and started eating. She looked around the room and saw how happy everyone seemed. They were without a care in the world. It made her happy just to sit there munching on food as she watched everyone dancing and enjoying themselves.Â

SPRINGTIME CHRISTMAS || merida
It was springtime and they were traveling down to Hogsmeade, where it was always snowing despite the seasons. While Verity had once hated the snow as a young girl because her mother had never let her out of their little cabin-tent, she learned to appreciate with time as she lived with her father and step-mother in their large estate. Snow fights and laughter, piping hot soup and hot chocolate- all of it was wonderful.Â
She wasn’t necessarily dressed for the occasion, wearing a flowing, draped crimson summer dress and her thin black cloak, her feetappearing to be barefoot. They were, in fact, in a pair of soft boots, but they had been charmed to fit to her skin and blend in with her surroundings so she could at least pretend to be barefoot. Slung across her chest was her black leather messenger bag, equipped with an undetectable extension charm so she didn’t have to leave anything she found important at home.
Beside her walked her best friend Madge, a girl she always found a strange interest in. It wasn’t only the fact that the girl was gorgeous… But it was something about her that made Verity feel so compelled to know her; it was mandatory deep in her soul, and she always went with her soul.Â
“Madge, where do you want to head first? God, this is all so beautiful, isn’t it?” She was like a child in a candy shop whenever she went to Hogsmeade, despite the terrible colds she always came down with in the end of things. “We should go to that swanky tea shop! Oh my god, Madge, can we? We can pretend to be a couple and bother all the homophobic wazzocks. Can we do it?” She took Madge’s hand into both of hers and got down on her knees. “Please, oh please, Madge?”Â
She batted her eyelashes as she waited for a reply.

Madge looked over with her mouth full of chips. She wasn't expecting anyone to come and talk to her here. It was Vi. Madge had always looked up to Vi. She has heard so many good things about her.She quickly chewed and swallowed. "Vi," she began, "Well...to be honest, I don't really feel like dancing." She said as she looked out into the crowd of students. She then looked back at Vi, "Plus, I'm suppose to be a chaperone. Part of the duties of being Head Girl." She said ash she gave a warming smile.Â

Well...at the most, I'm just going to take away the alcohol and dispose of it. And try to stay away from that stuff. You seem like a smart and nice girl. I'd hate to see it ruin you.Â
Gryffindor common room...
So I assume you do remember. And from what you tell me, it seems like alcohol was involved. Alex, I need you to tell me who gave it you.Â
