darry being SO mistrusting of cherry at first simply cause she’s a soc. being so protective of soda cause he doesn’t need another curtis brother to have his heartbroken by a soc. darry giving cherry a whole talk about how she needs to be good to his brother cause he knows how much it hurts. darry who took the longest to get used to cherry cause every time he saw her stick out like a sore thumb with the greasers all he could think of was himself sticking out of the socs. darry’s heart hurting every time he sees cherry and soda happy cause he wishes that could have been him. just thinking abt them……
