Mime sits himself down on a nearby crate. He nods, grinning. That is, in fact, his name! It’s so very original.

It’s rare he’s so relaxed around anybody besides Joker these days. Nights where they’d sit on a ratty couch silently together. Maybe the Joker would whisper sweet nothings, something about how Mime is his favorite. He doesn’t get that from anybody else.

He doesn’t feel so okay with anybody else.

But he feels sort of semi-half-okay with this mysterious flash girl who isn’t arresting him or calling him a freak.

In an alleyway of Gotham, a lone boy dressed as a mime staggers for a moment before slumping against the wall with an inaudible sigh. It’s a rare moment of rest between errands. He takes out a palette and some wipes from his small bag to begin touching up his makeup.

Mime packs his makeup back into the small bag he always carries. He stands. What to do first.. hmmmm…
