“I’m coming!!” you shouted back. 

You finished getting ready, then met her outside your apartment in Luyie. 

“Wonderful! Now, let's go. Here's the plan, we go to the harbor, then we go eat at xianglings, and then..”

She listed off all her day's plans, then grabbed your hand and continued on. She was quick and kept on rushing you to the destinations, but you didn't mind her enthusiasm. You made it to Luyie harbor, made some purchases (cheaper thanks to Yanfei) and wandered with her. You made it to the restaurant and started eating. While you were, it started to rain.

“Rain? Really… After all my plans. Please lord of geo, let this stop!” Yanfei exclaimed.

You chuckled a little, and said,” I don’t mind the rain. It’s calming.” 

You two finished your meal and were about to headout when you realized. No umbrellas.

“ Well this is a predicament. Hey, heres an idea, lets run to the funeral palor, its close. I can steal a couple Umbrellas from Hu Tao."

You two ran to the parlor as fast as you could, trying not to get wet.

"hU TAO." yanfei yelled as she burst into the parlor. "WE NEED YOUR HELP."

"Aiya, quit yelling! What do you need yanyan? Oh, y/n is here with you! Oh I see what's going on.."

"Hey TaoTao, we need a couple umbrellas, can we borrow some?"

"Oya? Ok! But uh. I've only got one to borrow."

"That's fine! We can make do. Thanks!"

You two left and huddled under one umbrella, and became really close. Yanfei whispered,"I'm so glad I have you." She rested her head on yours."And that I can be honest with you. I love being around you. I love you."

You watched the sunset of Liyue fall in front of you. Little did you know, a pair of red eyes watched you from a distance, admiring you with literal heart eyes before finally approaching you.

"There you are, my beloved!" You hear behind you. Looking over your shoulder, you see your girlfriend approach you with a smile.

A smile was splayed on your lips. "Oh, Love! You're done with work, I assume?"

Hu Tao nodded, then instantly grabbing your wrist with both of her hands. "Come cuddle with me, dear! I miss you already..." She playfully tugged at your arm.

Letting out a chuckle, you nodded. "Of course, dear."

So then the both of you headed to Hu Tao's residence. It had the nice smell of cinnamon (or anything else if you don't like it). The both of you slipped your shoes off and headed to the bed.

Right as you laid down, Hu Tao jumped on her stomach on the bed and hung an arm over your torso.

"Ah... So calming when I'm with you." She said as she scooted closer to you.

You two spent about an hour and a half talking about your day, activities you participated in, etc. Hu Tao couldn't help but find your heartbeat soothing. The weight from her head on your chest made you feel comforted.

Then you both fell asleep in each other's presence, relishing each other's simple existence.

Hu tao is someone who used to struggle with that same thing when she just became the funeral director, she felt she couldn’t live up to the former funeral directors reputation, and everything she wanted to do for the funeral parlor was considered “bad”

She understands how you feel considering self worth, and will do anything to have you see yourself the same way she does.

Hu tao will notice immediately when you start feeling depressed/ considering your own self worth, and her heart will absolutely break.

“Love…?” Hu tao said peeking around the corner. You were in the kitchen, making yourself some lunch on your day off. You let out a soft ‘hm’ your attention not shifting away from your lunch. “Have you been feeling ok recently?” Hu tao asks, she seems… quieter than usual, her normal excitable nature, seems to have… faltered, and was replaced with a more serious undertone. “Yeah I’m ok. Why?” You quickly respond, looking at her for the first time for this entire conversation. “Oh no reason… but you know I love you right?” Walking over to you and cupping your face, she says with love and adoration in her voice, “I think you’re amazing, and I’ll think that no matter what.” A smile spreads across both of your faces. You giggle, and say a small thank you.

Xiao understands, but he wishes you wouldn’t feel this way. He’ll almost force you not to feel that way, and when that doesn’t work and you deny you feel even slightly depressed, he be aimed frustrated.

Xiao is someone who doesn’t… say he loves you, but would rather show you. He would rather show you that he thinks your wonderful, show you that you’re worth all the love that he gives you and more.

“Xiao?” You say looking over at the adeptus in front of you. You were sitting under a tree, reading your book, when xiao just suddenly appeared in front of you, a glare plastered on his face. He seemed like he was seething with anger, and that his anger was directed at you. “Move over.” He sternly said, and you did just that. Quickly moving over, so he could plop down next to you. “Do you… need something?” You ask, genuinely worried. “I need you to know that you’re… great.” Xiao said, his ears turning a bright red. He rested his head on your shoulder suddenly, almost dreading the moment that he thought you would shove him off for acting weird. But that never happened. Instead, he heard your giggles and the souls of pages flipping, “thank you xiao.” He keeps his eyes closed, “so stop… feeling like you’re not great.” You giggled again, “ok… I’ll make sure of it for you”

Zhongli isn’t very familiar with these feelings himself. Sure he has felt depressed, especially when his friends were slaughtered by other gods, that he just couldn’t fight…

He definitely notices the moment your attitude and demeanor changes, but doesn’t say anything about it.

You’re laying in bed, little to no motivation to leave the comfort, warmth, and most importantly security of the bed. But you had to go to work… beyond would wonder where you were, more work would be placed on them, you’d have more work tomorrow… you didn’t wanna burden anyone. “Love I’m coming in.” You heard zhongli say, walking into the bedroom. When he saw you still in your pajamas, just laying in bed, he was… worried, “darling? Why aren’t you getting ready for work?” You just simply shook your head and said, “I can’t…” you felt like there was a weight in your chest, suffocating you, making you sink into the bed further, and further… until shingling spoke, “hm… I see… I’m sorry to hear that. But, on my way to the store today, I’ll let your boss know that you’re not feeling well and taking today, and tomorrow off.” Your eyes widened and you quickly looked over to him, “what…? You’d do that?” He smiled warmly, and said, “of course I would. I love you, so… I’d do anything to make you feel well.”

All five, all comfortable. Panic wasn't something you were familiar with, but you remember that practice from a friend. The only reason you had to calm from panic was her. By morax, she was incredible. Last night, she held you so close, you were sure she would never let go. She really does love you.

"Are you awake, dear? I suppose that doesn't matter, I will not be letting go any time soon."

"Ningguang? Good morning.." You said sleeply. 

"Good morning love. Are your injuries treating you better?"

"A little.. thank you sweetheart…" 

As soon as you let those small words out of your mouth, Ningguang's face turned red, a rare sight.

"Um I will um go fetch breakfast for us."

She left the room, leaving you in her comfortable bed. The light was warm. Even though it was only a few minutes, you already missed her. She was so close to you last night. Her hold was so nice. She loved you with everything she had. 

"Here we are." She entered back into the room, a servant behind her. "Let me help you sit up." You knew full well that she could've called someone to help you, but she didn't. She wanted to be by you, and help you.

You two shared breakfast together, and she helped you with all your needs. Maybe you didn't want to heal fast.

i feel stupid and embarrassed for not knowing/understanding this

affectionate from hu tao wasn’t an unnatural occurrence , she loved you so why shouldn’t she be allowed to show it in a way that expresses to everyone your hers? yet , today was drastically different. she didn’t give you one of those “welcome home” hugs or the “come back soon” one, this one was filled with just pure sorrow.

hu tao’s eyes threatened to spill with salty tears as her voice quivered when she spoke , “can i be selfish and hold you just a little longer..?” the grip she had on your clothes tightened.

your hand went to rest on her head to pull her in a bit closer , one kiss on the crown of her head to tie the knot on the fact she will always be welcome in your arms.

— the morning sun rose and crept through the crack in the blinds to wake you. ayaka’s arms were loosely yet lovingly hugging your waist in attempt to pull you in just the tiny bit closer. the warmth radiated off your body and led her into an intoxicated state that she wanted to stay in for the rest of the day.

unfortunately , her duties in the yashiro commission can not go unfulfilled and neither can your own commissions from the adventurers guild. however , one lazy morning couldn’t hurt right?

once you awoke and rubbed the sleep from your eyes, ayaka held you a bit closer it was so gentle you almost didn’t realise she did anything.

turning to face her you could see the evident blush that bloomed on her face , even though she tried to seem like the calm and level headed ayaka around you she truly couldn’t be.

minutes pass by and you attempt to get up (your commissions couldn’t wait forever you know!) and yet ayaka didn’t show any signs of letting you go. in a weak attempt to make you stay, she tugged on your shirt and with the most rosiest blush asked “can i..be selfish and hold you just a little longer..?“

never mind, your commissions can most certainly wait.

— another exhausting day had passed the land of inazuma. thoma tell me why i nearly said childe had been out and about sorting out affairs that didn’t have all to deal with the yashiro commission.

to say he was tired was a severe understatement , i mean sure it’s a great and energising feeling to know that people trust you enough to rely on you however that feeling can soon turn sour and it can most definitely overwhelm you. in return for his hardworking efforts , he wanted nothing more but to collapse in your arms and potentially fall asleep to the sound of your lulling heartbeat.

once he caught a glimpse of your face his heart couldn’t help but be swarmed with love and his stomach with silver butterflies hua cheng reference anyone ? like a puppy waiting for his owner to come back home , he leaped towards you for an embrace , arms quickly finding their way down to hold your waist.

you ruffled his hair with one hand and hugged him back with another - and although you couldn’t exactly see his face you could tell he was genuinely thrilled to be close to you after the long day. the stares and coos from the strangers passing by was making your cheeks hot in embarrassment.
