Serialised Sherlock Holmes adaptation which meticulously reproduces all of Arthur Conan Doyle's continuity fuckups, at first seemingly out of excessive concern for fidelity to the source material. Eventually, it's revealed that we're actually looking at a pair of extremely similar parallel universes, each with its own almost-but-not-quite-identical Holmes and Watson duo, played by the same actors.
In the back half of the series, a plot by Time-Travelling Omni-Moriarty threatens both universes, obliging the Holmeses and Watsons of each universe to team up with their counterparts to stop him; the particulars of this portion of the story are such that understanding what the hell is going on critically hinges on the audience's ability to keep track of which nearly-identical Holmes or Watson is which.
The ultimate resolution involves outsmarting Moriarty by having the Watson with the war wound in his leg and the Watson with the war wound in his shoulder secretly switch places, deliberately framed in such a way that, as far as the audience can tell, there was no conceivable opportunity for them to have done so.

If Sherlock Holmes was Isekai'd to a fantasy world he would just deduce the rules of this world and get back to solving crimes. He'll find an elf girl sidekick, name her Watson, and pretend like nothing happened.

Happy Anniversary to me:)
One year ago I started to turn fanfiction into books.
I'm a librarian I hate digital reading, but I love fanfiction.
BBC Sherlock itself is nothing else but fanfiction.
I love the stories like I love almost all ACD and Pastiches.
Plus the books in my hand help me to get grounded when anxiety hits me which is a daily occurrence.
Finally I was able to let the company print me some AU stories.
I'm still waiting for three more.
And NO!
I don't make any profit.
There is a company in Germany who print PDF's into books.
You choose colour and picture for the cover and two weeks later you get your book.
There is no publishing, the company prints your PDF and send the only copy to your home address.
I used the download button on AO3.
I always leave comments and kudos!
These books are my therapy even more so than the actual series.
Thank you to all writers for making my mind a better place.❤️

Train Time. I don't know how to draw the inside of a train so I have to announce it just to be sure. It's a Train. Also in case this leaves my mutual circle: the pointy ears are a stylistic choice. Have a wonderful day.
[ID: a digital drawing of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson sitting in a train compartment. Holmes is laying with his legs up and his back against a bag reading a newspaper while Watson sits normally with his legs crossed on the other side of the bag with his notebook on his knee. /End ID]

Everyone gives Sherlock Holmes a hard time about being mean about Watson's writing, but honestly imagine you told your roommate "sure, you can write up an account of my work for the newspaper," thinking it would be like, about the murder, but then he publishes it and it's 90% about you, as a person, and it's a huge hit and now everyone in London knows that you hoard newspapers and do cocoaine when you're depressed. Because I think you'd be little miffed too.
