✨💜 Have I lost myself, or have I gained you? 💜✨ Q: How did you get into bullet journaling? Is there something stopping you from trying? Hello beautiful people, my name is Shalini, and welcome to my first spread! Let me introduce you to my Singularity spread. Though I just started this account, I did this spread when I first started bullet journaling over 4 months ago. Though it’s simple, I still love this spread because Singularity is one of my favourite BTS songs, the music video is *chef kiss* beautiful and I remember having such a great time with this spread. ❄️ Each of my spreads have a theme related to the song it’s inspired by: for Singularity, I wrote about “breaking the ice” in finally starting bullet journaling about BTS. To be honest, I’m a very cynical and contemplative person, so to create something that many people might see as an “obsession” (including myself) was tough, but the lines from this song helped me get past it bc the boys might also feel the same about us (where do their voices start and ARMY voices end?). But that’s the beauty of it. Obsessions can be dangerous but they’re also powerful because they make you ~feel~ things and make you want to do, to create — at least for me! So that’s what this spread is about. ☺️ This spread helped me love and do what I love without shame or apology! BTS has inspired me to not only journal but to also keep writing my novel, which is what I mostly use this journal for. So you’ll see most of the text in the spreads relate to characters or plot in my story — which you’ll hear more about in later posts. 😉 If you’re a writer too I hope you find some inspiration from this! LotR genuinely had no right being as good as it was, how did filmmaking peak so perfectly in the early 2000s with a crazy mishmash cast and a self-made director who only bought a studio because he took out a loan against his house to buy an abandoned paint factory, how come late 90s cgi-video-game-elves look better than high tech movies now, how come nothing else has consistently incredible acting, soundtrack, set design and effects, writing, emotion, platonic affection and pure romance

ya know like….you always hear about the classics™ authors having stupid wild shenanigans with each other. they all banded together to be dumbass chaotic english majors together. the stories are great and they’re all considered timeless genius writers….we don’t have that with modern age authors? where’s the goddamn sense of community? where’s the saucy tales of jk rowling, stephen king, james patterson and nicholas sparks locked up in an orgy cabin during a hurricane and having a writing contest. no one’s ever gotten in a fist fight with stephanie meyer. rick riordan didn’t cry face down in george r r martin’s garden after no one liked blood of olympus. jodi picoult doesn’t have a single damn calcified heart in her possession. cassandra clare and suzanne collins never had sex on a grave. neil gaiman has never gone on a week long sex-binge that would have killed him if r l stine didn’t intervene. john green has never written a book in two weeks while snorting massive amounts of cocaine. where’s the drama!!! where’s the scandal!!!! where’s the intrigue!!! modern day authors have to step it UP a notch, God dammit.

Update: as many of you know my mother is in the final stage of an aggressive cancer that spread through all her body. Thanks to many of you ive been able to see her twice since her we got the news, and she’s quickly deteriorating. As much as i wish i could quit my job and spend her last days with her or at least go see her every weekend, i dont have the funds for it. Her retired sister and i are her only support, and because of all the days off i took from work i was deducted all extra bonuses and compensations from work other than my base salary. My mother has no insurance and the expenses to take care of her are about 100 - 150 dlls weekly between medication, diapers, oxygen tank and orthopedic bed rental and a nurse once a week, were drowning in expenses and debt. If any of you can help in any way make my moms last days as painless and comfortable as possible i would greatly appreciate it.
