Imagine that today you are in a place between Canada and Russia, and suddenly, for 30 seconds, the moon in its maximum splendor appears and disappears before you. In addition, for 5 seconds, it gives rise to a total solar eclipse. Something unheard of, right.
In perigee, the proximity to the Moon shows the great speed at which we move without feeling it.
It is recorded in real time.
The moon seen from the Arctic, North Pole, between Russia and Canada, only lasts a few seconds, but it is worth it, it is a beautiful sight, it seems that it collides with the earth, but no.

So I've been thinking a lot about what kind of relationship may be between Essek and Verin, and with last episode confirming Essek trusts his brother, I have more thoughts.
I think we all mostly agree that they grew up in an abusive family. I wasn't sure about how they've treated Verin but we know brothers are very different. BUT. If Essek trusts him, it was this way even before all M9 stuff. Which means, most likely, they were kind of allies against all the family shit.
Even though Verin is canonically Lawful Good and a knight, Essek seems to trust him not only to be a good person, but to be ready to support him even in a very shady situation with M9, like, there want even a thought like "he might be willing to help", Essek just said his brother is too far, the fact that he WILL help if asked isn't even questioned.
Which is a thing in abusive families. Kids protect each other when their adults are the source of danger.
They are very different, and if Essek is manipulative, Verin is probably very straightforward. How tf you grow up Lawful Good in this kind of family? My guess - it's exactly thanks to Essek who was protecting his little brother from the worst parts of the family "education".
I have a theory that the fight he had with his father that resulted in his death (Essek said, he went unprepared, probably literally used too much spellslots?) had happened because of Verin. It also may explain why Verin is working literally where his father died - Essek does not care or feel guilty, but Verin might feel responsible?
And I think, when they grew up, Verin was also protecting Essek, calling the anger of their parents on himself? Because he was physically stronger and I don't think that would actively protect themselves if one of their parents (probably father) tried to beat the shit out of them.
Another thought: there was massive family scandal, something Essek did? And Verin went to protect him like "can you stop treating my brother like that" and got seriously beaten, then Essek freaked out and caused a scandal, resulted in their outraged father bolting to that city without proper preparation and still probably wounded or without spells (I think, it might've been the first time boys actively stranded for themselves). And I don't think Verin was happy about that even if Essek kinda was thinking her was right (from his point of view). And THIS, the fact that it did hurt Verin, might be the reason why Essek told it M9 as the thing he regrets doing. This wasn't about his father's death. It was about hurting his brother, little brother, the youngest soul of the Den who ate the same shit with the same spoon.
It just felt like Essek really trusts noone. The other mage was kind of still under the question. But he trusts M9 and his brother.
Probably Verin was the only one who all this time, all this years knew who his brother actually is without the mask and loved him anyway.
I bet they will tear anyone apart for each other.

some of the best things about dimension 20
- brennan breaking when he's roleplaying a truly ridiculous character
- ally's giggle
- the way murph looks at emily sometimes when she does pretty much anything (this one has been pointed out many times but it's still amazing)
- the parent friend energy from the sokhbar/lillith duo
- how every single party gets very attached to either a minor NPC or an NPC brennan had to fully pull out of nowhere and now he has to develop them cause the party keeps bringing them (examples: Gilear, John Feathers, Avanash sort of)
- emily & lou having their little conferences during unsleeping city about how their dice children are doing
- they always sit ally & murph next to each other and it seems so sweet cause murph helps ally figure dnd shit out all the time
- ally & lou's characters almost always have some sort of connection and i love it (this is especially true with pete & kingston)
- telemaine lumenelda
- murph taking absolutely every opportunity to do shenanigans despite his frustration with shenanigans when he's a dm
- "ready to get slammed down, big style!"
- the found family!!! in every season!!!

work definitely exists under communism ya’ll are so weird sometimes. work doesn’t specifically mean waged labor. I think there’s a very distinct lack of creativity and seriousness among people who say things like this.
