Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has suggested justices who may have lied to Congress should be impeached. The right is not happy about it.
Right-wing media are attacking Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for suggesting that Supreme Court justices who lied to Congress in their confirmation hearings should face impeachment investigations. Their panicked reaction reveals the continued importance of the court in the conservative movement’s project to roll back an array of social and civil rights gained over the last half-century.
Ocasio-Cortez has also offered proposals that would fundamentally rein in the power of the Supreme Court and called for a mass mobilization in support of abortion rights, which right-wing media is cynically attempting to equate to the fascist insurrection Donald Trump instigated on January 6.

Just a reminder that while you're protesting for abortion rights, the government is now going after the Indian Child Welfare Act and is attacking Indigenous sovereignty.
Not only is the United States government trying to take away tribal sovereignty, but they are also trying to force pregnant Indigenous women and two-spirited individuals to give birth and risk having their children stolen from them. This is an act of genocide. This is an act of forced assimilation. This is an act of cultural erasure.
So while you protest for your rights to choose to have an abortion, protest in favor of Indigenous people's sovereignty. Contact your state representatives. Pay attention to your state elections.

"But she gave birth to you, you owe her!"
My mother wanted to be a mother. It was her dream to be a mother. She poured all her energy into being a Good Christian Mother.
She did not want me. She wanted motherhood. I was a side effect of her dream. Once I was old enough to disagree with her, she hated me. I wasn't making her look like a Good Christian Mother. I was loud, disobedient, needy... almost like a child. Not quiet and pretty and grateful for crumbs.
Yes, she birthed me. For herself and her partner. For the people who were already born. Not for me. As all mothers have for all of time. It's not the birthing that makes a mother worth honoring, it's the parenting.

In one month, the Supreme Court:
Denied death row inmates the right to present evidence of their innocence in federal court after their wrongful conviction in state court,
Gutted Miranda rights,
Ended regulations on the open carry of firearms,
Overturned Roe v. Wade,
Allowed public school employees to coerce prayer by students,
Decimated tribal sovereignty, and
Ended federal regulation of greenhouse gases.
