I want a story about a king whose son is prophesied to kill him so the king is like “whatever what am I supposed to do, kill my own kid wtf is wrong with you” so he just raises him as normal, doesn’t even tell him about the prophecy, and instead of some convoluted twist of events that leads to the king’s murder the son grows up and when the king is very old and dying and in excruciating pain the kid is just like alright I'mma put him out of his misery.

Skaldova is amazing. These characters are so good. Zudrick’s entire deal is so pitch perfect. His never changing out of his armour is so spot on souls game bullshit and love getting more backstory. Boggy is Caldwell’s most charming character yet. He’s leading with his real life charisma on this one. The fact he’s sorta putting on a facade is interesting character work too. And Welly. Another Emily Axford masterpiece. A sapphic knight so chaste and even more horny. There’s a real scoundrel under the surface.

Jake’s storytelling has been really great. He gives his players room to have scenes without many interjections but he’s still involved. His first real combat went really well. It even had 2 stages to the fight. (You can tell Jake as a DM has really learned from Murph, just as you can see Emily’s influence on him as a player.)

If there were any interest I’d really love to write more about Skaldova in the context of fantasy fiction and how Jake’s storytelling fits that tradition. Because I think what he’s doing is so interesting.
