The danish, which is a direct tie to the country of Denmark, isn't actually danish. They were brought by bakers from Vienna, Austria in the 1850's when pastry workers in Denmark went on strike. Danishes have been made in Denmark for so long that everyone just agrees they're there's.

Religion
Tumblr media
[x]
Norse Mythology is the religion of the Vikings. They believe in multiple gods and that, when they die, there will be beautiful angels waiting for them in Valhalla. However after the fall of the Ronan empire, missions and leaders came to Denmark to try to convert them to Christianity.

A brief history
Tumblr media
[x] in around the 6th century,- The Danish first stemmed from a Germanic group called “Danes” who practiced Norse Mythology. They resided in modern day Denmark, Northern Germany, and Southern Sweden.   Early Denmark (8th-11th century) was filled with conquering, expanding, and exploring, normal Viking stuff. They conquered Norway, Iceland, and Greenland, and had land disputes and wars with Sweden, Germany, and England. They also made their way over to North America, long before Columbus, and made a town, which they called Vinland, in modern day Newfoundland, Canada. After many, many wars (mostly with Sweden) Norway, Sweden, and Iceland became completely detached from Denmark, although Denmark did get to keep Greenland and the Faroe Islands. After all those wars with Sweden and other European wars they stayed out of the scene, then got invaded by Nazi Germany in WWII. Denmark first applied to be apart of the European Economic Community with the U.K. since their economies were linked. And when the EU formed after the EEC, Denmark joined in 1973.
