ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hello, I’m Torin Callaghan (I also go by Zero)! I’ve been in the Soul Eater fandom for a bit now and I also create content for the Danny Phantom Phandom and sometimes the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Arrowverse fandoms. I’m 21 (going on 22 in just a little over a month now), transmale (he/him only), and an avid writer.

If you’re worried about seeing politics or current events on this blog, don’t be. First off, I don’t like getting my news from Tumblr, so I don’t want to spread anything. Second, I use tumblr for fandoms and fun. You’re more likely to see political stuff from me by talking to me on Discord or Twitter (which, hey, I forgot my Twitter password so there’s that). You can find me on many platforms such as Fanfiction.net (torin.callaghan), Archive of Our Own (Andie ZIR, Zir Ghostly, TorintheMighty, and SoulEaterZer0), Quotev (torinthemighty), and Wattpad (Torinthemighty). And before you ask, no, Torin Callaghan is not my real name. Torin is my preferred name and Callaghan is a pseudonym I like to write under.

ABOUT THE AU

The Demon Meister AU is about a girl named Lara Damon, though she will be introduced as Zazran Astaroth. Running from her mysterious past, she finally stumbles into Death City—where she was told her father was. Ending up enrolled at the DWMA was not her first choice, but she makes friends there—like Raleigh Gowan—so she’s not complaining. Now she just has to find her father and get his help with her mission.

WHO IS LARA?

I can’t reveal much about Lara, if I’m being honest. She’s a demon girl, escaping from her past, and she used to go by Zazran Astaroth before she went by Lara Damon.

Personality wise? Lara loves family, and has always wanted her family to be whole. Growing up in the Demon Realm with her mom, young Lara was only told stories of her father. She knows demon magicks and has been trained in the use of weapons on long poles, especially scythes.

Lara grew up loving reading. She would read fiction and nonfiction, research papers and fairy tales, anything she could get her hands on, really. At school, she was top of her class. Even while on the run, she packed books—mainly the DWMA curriculum for EAT students.

WHAT ABOUT LARA’S MOM?

Elvareth Astaroth is someone Lara holds in high regard. A hero of her people, one of the best demons in the Demon Realm, Elvareth raised Lara on her own until the breaking point—the point when Lara had to leave in search of her father.

WHO IS BREE NIGELS?

You’ll just have to read and see. :D She was mentioned in Broken Glass because that was from Stein’s POV, but Lara currently doesn’t know anyone named Bree Nigels.

WHAT DOES PROFESSOR STEIN HAVE TO DO WITH ALL THIS?

Since most of you will see the poll I also created, Stein is Lara’s father. The thing is, neither of them know that. That’s why I’ll write things like “her father” instead of mentioning him outright—because she only knows a name, not a face.

WILL WE SEE ANY OF THE MAIN CAST?

Most likely! This story’s main focus is on Lara & Stein interacting, but Lara interacting with other students will also happen!
